That'll work then!!! After 12 years of staying in Thailand and having been back in the UK since Covid kicked in....I know where I'll be staying now. Being away from Thailand has opened many people's eyes.

The authorities threaten people with 2 years in jail for 'stepping out of line' on Songkran. Beat tourists half to death and you go home with a note. Sounds about right.

Breathing out of sync, 5 million baht fine and 10 years in prison.

'Sense' is where the system falls down!!!

I had 12 good years in Thailand but I think it's for the next generation now. They'll only know it as it now. For me, it doesn't sound like a holiday. Put myself through the wringer for what?

Does Thailand actually believe they are a Covid free country? Surely they must otherwise what would be the point of these ridiculous rules?

Well, there is no Utopia. If the Thais don't die of Covid then they'll die of starvation. A friend of mines father has just been put in prison for 3 months. He had a car accident but there's no money anyway to pay for the other parties damages. The people at the top simply don't care, FACT!!!

Surely test and go is to find cases of Covid? It's doing what it's meant to be doing so where's the problem? Doesn't make sense to me.

Supply and demand.

Come on, let's be totally honest. It's a case of supply and demand. It doesn't matter what the government want, the Thais will supply what the tourists want and we all know what that is.
