i think some people are just programmed to drink. I feel sorry for them such a waste of health & money.

Geordie, if your self employed I think they need 3 years proof of income, might be wrong.
Saying that I did the same as yourself wife over first, then the kids a few years later, did not have any problems whatsoever.
Good luck and hope it all works out, it can be a right stress.

My advice would be just don't tell the authorities she has a conviction.
Trust me most of the time they are too lazy to check. Anyway hope it all works out.

mmmm its actually 7 years. I racked up about 80k of credit card debts, now they cant touch me, they do pester a lot for the 7 years though.

Scarpo, you have spent too much time with negative people, im sorry your such an unhappy person, get out and exercise or something, it will do you the world of good.

The Thai Government didn't cause the accident. So the offer of 300,00 baht was very generous.
You wouldn't get a penny in any other country. And to be honest is it a good idea to bicycle around rural Thailand, given the danger on the roads.

I will probably take a drive up and see if I can find him, its about a 5 hour drive from here. Then see where the land lies before I take her up to meet him.

Yeah problem is she is coming up to 16 now and isn't stupid. She wants to meet him and to be fair if I was her I would as well, every kid deserves to know the biological father. On the other hand I don't know how much trouble it may cause between the Thai families.

I will run this with you, as someone has possibly had the same issue. My stepdaughter has never met her father, think left before she was born.
The step daughter now wants to meet him, which I think is a good idea and il help out.
The wifes family and the wife are dead against it and wont even speak about him, so il track himdown myself have his address on birth certificate.
Any advice would be appreciated as to pros and cons of her meeting with him.Cheers Ninja.

Getinthere. Yes had to go down to Thai Embassy in London. You can pre arrange the visit time and its all pretty easy apart from the travel. You never know what is going to happen in future so its a good thing to get dual citizenship.
