This is pretty interesting. My wife and I are trying now for a baby...I asked her if it didn't work out would she be interested in adopting. I'll be nice here and paraphrase, but the answer was a hard no. She said too many have psych and developmental problems. She said she'd rather adopt a sister's or cousins kid but never from an orphanage or home.

Yeah well the with the cops today it went nowhere very quickly....we handed them over everything we have..all the chats...bank info...his ID.....everything. Cops pretty much gave us the "well we don't know if it's him or not....you will have to check the bank...but they won't give you the info....." So pretty much, in Thailand, it's not a crime to take someone's money for a product.....then not deliver the product, and keep the money.....as long as the business says "it's in the queue" in perpetuity, the police will not help you. So they don't have to give your money back, nor do they have to deliver the product within any timeframe. It's quite the business model.

Do you need the container for storage on your property or for shipping overseas?

Until you grow your own 6 plants....AND keep the flower to use as you'd like, it's all garbage. They have so many rules now, it's not even worth it. Who give permission to have plants, but not the flower? Strangest thing I've ever seen.

Hi everyone and good day to you all! Does anyone have any reliable sources for a 20ft container for storage? We just got taken for about 20,000 from a scam racket down south, so I'm giving up the internet searches for now. They did the usual "yeah we have it no problem...pay half deposit and will ship tomorrow.....we pay half...2 days later..."oh sorry, new employee made a mistake, we need 10,000 more for shipping'....we said "that sounds like a you problem"......they came back "yeah ok, understand, it was our fault....shipping in 2 days".....they come back later......"oh you need to pay full amount to get into the queue for next week".....we say "yeah, no you said half and pay half upon delivery".....it's been 2 weeks now and its all excuses and then they finally blocked us from calling. The one guy we can get in touch with does the typical "oh I can't help, the boss has the money". So either way, I'm sure we got taken, but I still need a shipping container. Anyone have a good place?

There is a member here, Grafting Ken, who lives up that direction and has (had?) a variety of citrus trees for sale. Bought a few from him a year ago and they're doing great!
Thank you, yes....I sent him a message as well, but it seems he hasn't been active in a while.

Hi everyone and good day to you. Could someone please help me out with finding some citrus trees in Udon? I know the regular Thai oranges are readily available in the small garden shops, but I'm looking for a variety of them...navels, tangerines, blood oranges, lemons, mandarins, etc? Any suggestions? We are throwing in a mix of Pomelos as well and those are easy to find too....but the various orange/lemon trees are quite difficult it seems. Thanks!

What structure are you making in your pond? Will that a chicken house or something?

Nice set up....I will need 2+ rai of seeds soon in Udon. Once they dump all the fill dirt, I don't want it to erode away or look like a wasteland....

I had a cop offer me an M3 Grease gun for 30,000 after they chased down and killed the drug mule carrying it.....very nice Vietnam era surplus gun.

Has anyone used these yet for residential housing walls? Supposed to be faster, more efficient, no cracks etc ...........

Just an update as well....I got the price quote for it. 4 meter posts, 1 meter under in footers, 1 meter slab wall above ground, 2 meter chain link fence above that, 2 gates..one car gate and one small gate in the rear.....512,000thb for the 2+ rai. Given some of the other prices I've seen, it doesn't sound too unreasonable.

Yeah they found someone who sent over some pretty impressive drawings, if they actually build it that way, I'll be surprised. I'm also very concerned about the water...the wife is saying we can't do it that way because the neighbors will lose their minds if all our water dumps out onto their land....as our wall would be very close to the back of their houses. So I will have to make sure they have a drainage plan well thought out......I'll keep my expectations low.

Hi everyone and good afternoon. Can anyone recommend a company that can do this kind of combination wall....bottom half needs to be relatively solid as it will be retaining and the upper half chain link or mesh? I'm thinking about 1 meter concrete slabs and 2 meter high chain link above it...then I'll vine it up with passion fruit or other viney plants. Anywhere in the Udon-Ban Dung area? Have a couple of offers in the village, but it seems they aren't quite getting what we are asking....sticking to the tall, skinny thin blocks. I've seen about a dozen of those walls fall over in a stiff breeze throughout the years. TIA!

Hi everyone, MIL has asked around and seems that fill dirt is running 650thb per large truck. I need to fill 2 rai by the end of the year....does that sound about right to you guys or is she getting the special "farang son in law" price?

Yes Thai gf.
Yes I work and live here in Singapore with EPass.
Yes I'm American. Yes, I have been in Asia for the last 5 years.
I go back to the US twice a year
The rejection letter is very vague and just says you didn't get it and there's no way to appeal. There is no reason given.

The gf had all the required paperwork and at the end of the interview they kept her passport and paperwork and told her she could leave. They called her 30 mins later and told her to come back. They handed her the passport and rejection letter...........so frustrating sometimes. She's a student here in Singapore and we've been to Europe a few times without incident and has tons of stamps in her passport. She has the money, the school paperwork, proof of residency here, tickets there and back, where we are staying, invitation letter......everything I can think of. She said the interviewer was serious, but nice and polite. He only asked her relationship to me and my family, where she wanted to go etc.......nothing too invasive or anything. Oh well...... what can we do right?

Same type of stickers on street vendors, food vendors, etc......all don't get inspected as long as they have the sticker.
