Nakhon Pathom province (Rai Khing) immigration office
My 90 day's expires this month on Monday 18th so as advised I sent my online application at the earliest opportunity on the 4th...
Using Chrome not a problem...I received my acknowledgement & printed it out.
That's where my good luck ran out!
Looks like tomorrow it's another visit in person to the immigration office as usual, because when checking the status of my application it still reads "Pending"
For me unfortunately a waste of time !!!
That means they are probably not processing online applications yet. Take the acknowledgement with you and ask about it.
Thanks for your reply/advice...yes it will have to be a visit with the acknowledgement in hand, however I did phone the office at the beginning of the month & was told yes I should apply online ??
So I don't really understand why the processing has not been achieved within my expiry date.
Just as a question... when you submit an application online, where does it actually go?
To a central office & processed which is then visible via a link to my local immigration office or is it redirected to my local office to be processed??
For those who might be interested: RE: 90 day check
I attended the immigration office today in person with my on-line acknowledgement paper in hand.... asking why it was not possible to process within my expiry date using the on-line system I was just met with a blank face & icy-stare.
All my details are the same as they have been for the last 7 years without any change what so ever (so I don't think anything was wrong with the application) nor could there have been an error within my details on the system as they have been the same for all of my past visits !!
No comment was given just a quick curt "maybe you will be successful next time !!
I live in hope !!

The impossible takes time.. miracles take a lot longer... maybe a "promise too far"

Why not take the tickets off the streets & make customers buy a "lucky dip" type ticket from high street shops such as 7/11, Lotus, or even larger supermrkets etc using counter services ??
The shop makes a percent per ticket sold & nothing to be returned.
Tickets would be automatically recorded via a link to the lottery center.
Why should you bring logic into this thread ??
Sincere apologies..... I almost forgot where I was
T.I.T

The log is meant to ensure that the number of personnel on board is the same when the boat returns.
Not quite sure if this will be enough to quash the "anti-trafficking" problem.. a hand written log made by the Captain who of course "never lies" !!!!

Everything in Thailand is "arse-about-face" !!

School gate: no helmet? No school.
Simple, logical, won't happen - I know....
Not so simple & not so logical..
100 yards from the school gates the kids will put on the helmet..
going home 100 yards down the road off-comes the helmet.
You cannot change or enforce the law just for a certain age group.... change the law completely.
As from a certain date all persons riding/or pillion on a motorcycle must wear a helmet END OF STORY !!!
Will it ever happen.... not in my life-time.

It seems that these Thai quasi-governmental organizations have an ossified culture frozen in time from the 1970s, resistant to change, and staffed by bureaucrats who have jobs for life.
They need an injection of proactive professionals who can keep up with the times, with independent directors who ask the right questions.
I spotted your "typo"
it should have read 1870's !!

Police handed over the assets.
All of it?
How much do you think the cash will go for at auction?
Your presuming it reaches an auction house !!!

Quote:
The deputy director-general revealed that the department will be foregoing inspection fees for vessels not exceeding 20 gross tons and new criteria will be formulated for the issuance of crew’s papers to address the problem of illegal workers.
He admitted that in the past counterfeit papers were widely used by fishing vessels but the problem is now being looked after by the Department for Special Investigations (DSI) and there should be a dramatic reduction in the foreseeable future. In other words: with immediate effect all captains are required to fill out "false paperwork" to cover the illegal crews & the DSI/Harbour authorities will turn a blind eye so fishing can continue as normal !!!
No mention of a change in the working conditions of the slaves, no mention of a change in the salaries of the "slaves" no mention of a change about caging "slaves" in fact I can't really see any change in anything !!!!
Do they really think that if the "slaves" are given a "worthless" piece of paper the rest of the world will go away and leave Thailand to continue in it's illegal operations ???Thainess at it's finest !!!

Call me a skeptic if you must...
but are these recent "busts" for real... or
are they just a set-up with tusks from the store cupboard to get "CITIES' off Thailands back ??

Thailand hub of human trafficking !!!
I hope the international community is taking notes -

....... " Mr. Jiradet is a former advisor to Kittiratt Na-Ranong, ex-finance minister" .....
Another politically motivated prosecution proving the junta's lack of impartiality, or just another rat caught out?
Corruption is corruption, crime is crime, and they're caught.... does it mater what the colour of their shirt is ??

Odd that such small calibre bullets could cause death. Must have hit vital organs.
Obviously you know <removed> about ballistics
since when was .38 a "small caliber"

1st class post with lots of sense written...
what doesn't make sense is why this happens every year...
go to the headman of each area & lay it out in layman's terms... get it stopped or become an ex- headman !!I bet their will be a brighter sky next year !!

What's with all this "transfer" S**t" !!
If they're guilty publicly name them, shame them, sack them & charge them... end of story

What Prayut needs is a miracle to pull off what he's trying to achieve!!
Yes he is the new "broom" and he has to take responsibility for his position, but Junta or otherwise he cannot alone do the job...
He has inherited a mess which has been years in the making, and will take years to sort out.
He has ministers in place to do certain work, it's not for him "personally" to step in an do someone else's job every time a problem occurs.. however if a certain minister is found to be lacking in ability or or willingness to solve an issue then they should be removed from that position and replaced by some one with a mind-set to put things into order!Be it the aviation sector, the fishing industry, human rights, smog in the north or corruption it must start from the top & work it's way down the ladder.
If the ministers are too close to the problem then maybe they should be distanced from the problem and allow others to carry out the duties as issued from above !!- 1

He's quite correct, he doesn't need to invoke "article 44" to solve this issue.
He needs to remove the fisheries minister & hand the job over to someone who hasn't got his hand in the till & his head in the sand!!
He also needs to get the message across to all owners/skippers of the trawlers.. break the law you go to jail !!!

Probably the shock from having the first bath of his life !!

So I guess the "blind-guy" who gets dragged around our local talat all day by his g/f is safe as he sings you a song!!

A good bust but it's been a longtime coming...( might have been better to follow the shipment to find out who all the connections were) but at long last Thailand has finally got the message from the rest of the world it's time to clean up their act !
CITES has been pushing for a long time for Thailand to quit the Ivory trafficking/smuggling trade.
Now waiting for all the other departments to take notice of the yellow/red card warnings they've been issued with to take affect..
Aviation & fishery sectors to name just two !!
Thailand is getting some short sharp shocks after joining the rest of humanity in the international world... I just wonder if they will continue or "op-out"

Well I guess if the powers to be get their way, a new fast track rail link from BKK area to Hua Hin, possibly a sea link from Pattaya to Cha-am & Hua Hin then they will get what they want...
A nation-wide brothel which is what Thailand does best & what has brought in the money for the last 50 years...
Pattaya, Phuket & Samui are all done to death, so why not open up new destination names to entice the punters!!
We know that as they go into ASEAN they can't compete with other nations on a level playing field in commerce & industry (unless other countries build it) so the sex industry will be the next best option to fall back on!
Somehow I feel sorry for the locals of Hua Hin & Cha-am in the future, when all the money men move in to take over, the mafia move in to stake their claims & the dregs of society both domestic & international move in to the new found "Paradise"
Good luck with his "vision" of cultural Thailand... but he ain't kidding me, and I for one won't be visiting Hua Hin again if the links become a reality !!- 1

after submitting your form hover your mouse over the "print symbol" right click & then click print from the drop down box
mine printed as normal
