Thanks for all the replies. It's cleared up my uncertainty.
I am too young for the O-A option, so the family member option is the one I would use.
At least I now know to plan to exit every 90 days.

I've been away from Thailand for a while. I'm looking at gaining a 1 year multiple entry visa from London based on marriage.
The embassy webpage states for non o:
"Multiple Entries Visa will be valid for 1 year from the date of issue. You must enter Thailand within the validity of visa. However, the permitted length of stay is up to 1 year from the date of your arrival in Thailand."
I thought that for a multiple entry visa each entry is for 90 days and then you have to exit and re-enter the country to get a new stamp?
So can I simply get one of these visas and stay inside Thailand for a year?
Thanks.

No, no, no, they don't accept, and if you booked a flight with them, and they cancel your flight for some reason....you DON'T get your money back!
Okay thanks for the info.
I have arranged for PCR tests at a hospital close to my home.
A friend flew to the UK recently and was accepted with results from this hospital, so I know at least this test will be okay

Thanks for the info.
Understood on all the above.
I'll do a PCR.

The Airline does not decide which Covid 19 tests are acceptable. The destination country does. As far as I know Thailand will only accept PCR tests within 72 hours of departure for arrivals from outside of the country.
So as my destination country is UK, when I leave Thailand, Thai Airways should accept an antigen test because the UK accept it.
But I need to confirm.

I am flying from Bangkok to London.
The UK accepts covid antigen tests to enter the country, but does Thai Airways accept this type of test to board the plane?
Hoping to find someone that has successfully boarded a Thai Airways flight using this type of test.
...and yes, I have tried to call Thai Airways many times, no answer. I have also emailed them, no answer.
Many thanks.

Thank you for your help. Very good information.

Hi all,
Is there such a thing as a standard divorce agreement when going through an uncontested divorce? If so, where night I find a copy for translation?
Further, can anyone recommend a divorce lawyer in Koh Samui?
Many thanks.

I always used the shop at Bandon Hospital, at the ringroad opposite the road to Bandon hospital.
Easy walk to BigC while they fix your AC.
I just took my car there. They fixed the problem. Very happy and thanks.

I have a problem with my car AC.
Can anyone recommend a reliable AC mechanic or shop on Samui.
The car is a Ford Focus. I will not take it to the dealer (major issues with MSK Ford).
Many thanks.

The Thai national version of this was a complete failure.
My wife attempted to get her discount. Got on the list, but there were about 3 hotels in the country signed up.
No doubt this one will go the same way.

Is it possible for a child that is studying in a Thai school to transfer to a UK school?
My son is British/Thai. I plan to stay in Thailand and school him here.
However, my wife and I have talked about if our circumstances were to change and we had to move the UK, would our son be able to join a UK school without issue?
In the UK, children must attend school by law, so he can't be refused, correct?
There must people who have done this in the past. I'd be interested how things went for you.

Sorry to hijack the thread.... What is the difference between O and O-A?
Also can these types be extended again and again each year without having to leave Thailand? (as long as requirements are met).

I just extended my entry of stay based on marriage.
Passport was provisionally stamped Friday 19th June. Notification hadn't arrived in Samui on that day. Called immigration and they said just come on Monday.
Called again on 22nd June (overdue by now) and collected my new stamp without issue. Can't speak for other provinces, but fine in Samui to do this at the moment.

I buy crypto currency on Coinbase.
I then transfer it to a hardware wallet.
Trading, staking and investments done on Binance.
Profits, if any :-), moved back to the hardware wallet.
All done on a mobile device.
Please take the time to read and watch tutorials online to understand it all before putting any money in. Especially the aspect of keeping your currency secure and away from hackers and phishing.

I bought some bitcoin back in 2017. I still can’t figure out how to transfer back to my bank account.
easy to buy , not so easy to get your money back , that has been my experience, would love to hear from anyone who has managed to get any money back to their account.
my advice therefore would be to invest a minimal amount, say 1,000baht , then attempt to get it back to your account... good luck with that!!
This can be done with Coinbase. Withdrawals to accounts, cards and Paypal all available.

As mentioned in another thread, I personally prefer to keep up with my visa extension chain.
I submitted mine based on marriage on May 22nd.
Reasons being it is very quiet at the office in Samui right now and I don't want to be part of any major rush when things get going again.
-
I was at Samui immigration on the 20th May and today.
They are accepting 90 day reports as usual.
Basically they are leaving the choice up to the individual.

Just got back from dropping off my paperwork for a 1 year extension.
Received the usual 30 day consideration stamp. Hopefully mine will be accepted.

Yes you could apply for a one year extension of stay.
That's good. I will attempt to do this.
Thanks.

I'm thinking if everyone has permission to stay until 31st July, there will be a mad rush in the weeks preceding this date.
My non-o multi based on marriage expires on 10th June with my current stamp ending on 22nd May.
Could I extend for 1 year a little before my current stamp ends to take advantage of the quiet period and beat the rush so to speak?

Are there any restrictions for transiting through Australian airports?

I had a Lazada wallet for a while and then it disappeared when the new rules came in.
Disappointing, so I use my Kasikorn debit card instead. No sure if refunds are permitted back to an debit card, but I expect they are.
Bizarre that the seller was able to sent to your wallet that doesn't exist.

Forget it, false alarm.
The pool shop that installed the system showed me how to regulate the speed the water falls over the overflow using the pool valves.

This is a good idea. Thanks for the lateral thinking!
