Obviously you have no idea about real life in Thailand out side your bubble.  What happens in villages very rarely reaches the news especially Thai visa. The village I have a home in and wife's family are from is typical of Thailand if you have the ability to look. The only murder that reached thaivisa news was the school girl rapped and murdered (next village). You Obviously have no idea. 3 x drive by shootings several years ago in Trang (never got to the news). Reason jealous belief they were taking their business. Bar 2 drive by shootings last one two people hit and lived second was a new noodle shop.

You said "This could be correct as the media fail to report any crimes thwarted including attempted mass shooting by legal carry in America.  Far more prevented by right to carry." and I challenged that statement. The idea that the "media" which as far as I know includes Fox and One America Network would NOT broadcast an instance where a heavily-armed American prevented a crime is a joke. Of course they would.

I'm not sure what your discussion of Thai village life has to do with that, but I'm guessing that this is also incorrect. Perhaps you don't read Thai newspapers or follow Thai-language TV? Because I'm pretty sure they'd not just ignore three drive-by shootings in Trang or the rape and murder of a schoolgirl.

I bet youre a hit with the ladies........esp when reaching for your wallet.......(slow clap)

So, uh, when is it you're leaving us? Note how "you're" is spelled. I normally don't attack posters for their spelling and grammar, but when they're combined with idiotic assertions, then I do take the low-hanging fruit. I'm just lazy that way.

Give me a break, Pal! How, in the name of God, would that be relevant, given the fact that the United States is racially and ethnically diverse, whereas Israel's population is mostly homogenous, with the majority of its population being Jewish.

Homogenous? I take it you're not acquainted with many Jewish people?  It's your contention that the main factor in shootings in America are because of diversity?

How...interesting! I would again ask for evidence of this rather unique pro-gun argument, at least you get marks for creativity! From what I can tell, most shootings are inter-familial and among the same ethnic groups although I am not a scholar on this nor have I researched it deeply. I would say we should put "cops" as a separate group in this analysis since they are more of an exclusive club and will happily shoot anyone who's not a cop regardless of color. Although of course they have a clear preference...

By the way there are two main Jewish groups from an ethnic/genetic point of view, Ashkenazi and Sephardic. Politically it makes America seem a bit of a monolith.

This could be correct as the media fail to report any crimes thwarted including attempted mass shooting by legal carry in America.  Far more prevented by right to carry.  Criminals should not be the only one's carrying firearms.

I'd ask you for some evidence of that which might be considered credible but I think we both know that this is utter fantasy and nothing is forthcoming.

I guess all those unarmed Israelis who were just butchered by Hamas terrorists felt safe with their country's strict Gun Control laws. Sadly, they weren't.

This is hardly the same situation or even universe. Or is every American conscripted and given guns and training similar to Israel? Do Canada and/or Mexico threaten to drive Americans into the sea and launch raids into their territory?

What would be relevant in this case is the rate of school shootings and other ordinary carnage that occurs in Israel that is unconnected to terrorism. I think you'll find it much lower than in the USA, although to be fair I haven't checked.

Perhaps that is the lesson - when people are properly trained and armed for legitimate purposes then you don't get the problems like in the USA where people buy guns for no good reasons and don't have to be trained, store them properly etc.

Im a Yank and my weapon is my brain...sorry to disappoint your stereotype, as with

the chinese girl i met last week that was convinced ALL of us Yanks own a gun

Im not a fearful coward that watches fox news and I support BLM...but then again im radical!

Sidenote I am not eating a cheeseburger at McDonalds today either.....shocked???

Drop your country in the reply so I can make assumptions about you next......thanks in advance

Well, I mean, one of those assumptions is that you're probably not so well educated, and evidence is that you completely misunderstood the statement. Americans are more shooty than stabby, as ably pointed out by another poster.

All you have to do is live Thailand 179 days, another country of your choice 179 days, stopover 7 days, bit messy but no tax in any country

Not correct, and they've already thought of this obvious dodge. If you get examined by your government or the Thai for that matter, they'll expect you to show them which country you pay taxes to because there must be one that you choose as your residence. There are a number of factors going into this including presence physically, assets, work, income sources, ties, etc. But there are no situations where they say "ah, foiled again by the ol' 179 day trick! If only you'd stayed one extra day!"

The computers and government and bank databases are linking and they're won't be easy escapes from the tax man for long. You will have noticed how much stricter everyone is getting with money transfers. Tax is the thing that motivates government to be active and energetic in pursuit of revenue.

I am a little lost on how. climate change has anything to do with having a bank account in your home country. As Thailand is preparing for a cashless society in addition to many countries forgive me if I am a little cynical over the whole global cabal dominated governance.

This is a hallmark of conspiracy theory. The guv'ment is both all-powerful and bent on complete manipulation of the masses in total secrecy without thousands of Co-conspirators peaching, while also being utterly incompetent and speaking continuously to the press.

Too bad the forum stopped identifying who posts emoticons..

I would block the idiot who posted a laughing emoticon to the above post.

Got the cojones to identify yourself?

I wondered about this also - since when (and why?) did the emoticons stop being able to be identified? It's kind of important to know if you're having an ongoing debate with other people.

As to getting in fights with people who post emoticons on anonymous internet forums...LOL!

Just wait till 'Joseph the Corrupt' (Biden)) decides that now Israel needs tremendous amonts of financial support, and makes a strong case for sending more of 'our' money to more criminals overseas.

What does he care...as long as he can continue to block and confuse all the 'Hunter-ness', and save his family legacy, then his days being numbered do not matter.

You think the Republicans wouldn't support Israel? Mind-boggling idiocy.

You can't shift the blame onto the parents.

Are you sure? What has come out so far doesn't seem to indicate a troubled child being closely monitored by his parents since he apparently didn't live with them and had all the kit in his room to manufacture home-made guns. Is there not a minimum amount of oversight and supervision one should have with one's child? If they had such wealth as to own multiple homes in Bangkok, did they use it to ensure the best outcome occurred or did they just sweep things that were happening that were disturbing under the rug?

We don't know the answers yet, but I sure am not ready to absolve the parents of any responsibility without those details.
