  1. Just when you thought it couldnt get worse….😏😏🤮🤮
  2. Taksin was prime minister when both of these things took place. He was the leader of the country, nothing was initiated unless Thaksin approved it…. In a democratic country he would have been impeached and convicted for such atrocities! Instead he was prosecuted for some economical stuff…
  3. ???? I doubt he will get any support from the thousands of left behind family and friends of the 2500 extrajudicially executed after the «war on drugs» campaign. And Im pretty sure the ditto left behinds of the 84 killed in the Tak Bai incident also will be a bit questionous about this claim…
  4. Kill a few traffickers wont matter much as long as….. There is a demand for such drugs - there will always be someone making/producing such drugs and then traffickers to distribute the drugs….
  5. Of course its possible! People do visaruns all the time, stamp out of TH, stamp in to Lao-stamp out of Lao and back and into TH again - in less than an hour. Costs 40 USD for a Laos visa though. So why dont spend some time in Laos?
  6. «Four year plans» I think I can recall a little from history lessons in school where a few other countries also had «4 year plans». If my memory serves me right it wasnt of the most economic succsesfully countries that had such plans….????????
  7. An insurance will be void if one doesnt have the correct license. And probably also if one rides a motorbike without a helmet and in flipflops….
  8. No its not as it was before the bridge was opened. Now the Immigration and Customs for both Thailand and Laos is at each end of the bridge and the bridge is approx 15 kms kms away from Chiang Khong and similar distance from Huay Xai…
  9. Crossing from Chiang Khong to Huay Xai shouldnt be any problem. I guess only the transport to the bridge from Chiang Khong and from the bridge to Huay Xai can be a bit problemstic as both distances are quite far….
  10. "Thailand is a lovely place with so many great attractions - but their police are not one of them". Dont know this girl - but I tend to agree….
  11. The most recent post covid experiences I have read suggest that it has been for most riders completely impossible to cross that border on a motorbike. Some other riders were able to cross but had to pay that well known scam (tourguide fee) which is mentioned to be 2000-2500 baht. So we can say that attempting to cross this border just for a border bounce is probably not worth it.
  12. C’mon mate, the government do nothing you say? Dont you remember 2-3 years ago when they put up huge roadside signs saying: «If you drive drunk please drive slow» ????????????
  13. Race bike? A Honda CB500X which is the bikemodel in the photo is 500 cc bike with around 47 HP and can not in any circumstances be counted as a «race bike». And «race helmet» - first of all what is a «race helmet»? And secondly - where do you see the socalled «race helmet»? If there is anything called a «race helmet» my guess that would be that of that this helmet model must be the best and most developed and secure helmet type ever! As its made for motorbike races…
  14. Dont remember as its 3-4 years ago but I dont think so.
  15. I Paid 500 baht and GF 50 baht at the national park Phu Thap Boek in Lowi/Perchabun a few years back. So we actually paid 10 times more than a thai national…???? Not twice as much
  16. Wasnt it a year or two ago the thai government put out roadsigns telling people: »If you drive under the influence - please drive slowly»???????????? I mean how can it be any danger to freeze to death in one of the worlds hottest countries? i live in Norway, one of the coldest countries in the world and its hardly and issue here….
  17. True - and they also mention that you need to remain in that hotel until a negative Covidtest can be proved. I wonder how long that will take if some thousand or ten thousands arrive pr day?
