  1. Give "My Kitchen" a try and you will not regret it. Open Facebook for the menu or open the following link and right click until you find their Xmas menu:- https://www.facebook.com/photo/?fbid=937025327949629&set=pb.100049265121495.-2207520000 Open Google maps and put "My Kitchen" in the location search to get directions; loads of parking. The quality and quantity of the food far exceeds the price. Highly recommended They have an indoor a/c room and outdoor tables to boot:- What more could you ask for as a Xmas dinner sitting..... (In reality, the outside sitting is far better than my photographic skills ) If this does not suit your Xmas dinner requirements then try their daily specials for lunch or dinner and one day you must try their 300gm (aprox.) beef steak, chips, 2 veg, salad and bread which cannot be bettered for B130. BTW: I have no connection whatsoever to the restaurant other than being a very contented customer.
  2. Try this url:- http://bankexchangerates.daytodaydata.net/default.aspx cheersD
  3. Why don'r you open a Thai £sterling account and transfer £sterling from your UK account to your Thai account? My UK bank, Barclays, has no charge for International £sterling transfers to Thailand and the Thai bank charges a £12 receiving fee. Doing this means I can transfer £sterling, whenever I want, from my Thai strerling bank account to my Thai Baht bank account with no trnsfer charge. Bankok bank exchange rate lies between their buying and selling rate but I can't remember the term they use.
  4. Interesting because something does not run true. Before I contacted the immigration police I checked at:- https://www.isitdownrightnow.com/tm47.immigration.go.th.html from the link posted by RobertIII and the server had been down for 8 days which would have been Tuesday of last week. I sent an email to the imm police at 15:30 yesterday and now the server has been up for 14h 54m meaning the server was back online around 00:25 which is this morning but there we go.
  5. Surprisingly, it seems my reporting of the site being down worked a treat ????
  6. As others have reported, the login page of Thai Imm TM47 90 day report is down due to a timeout error:- So I have reported to the Thai immigration police. cheersD
  7. Agreed. I use Tivi as my 'go to' app. As you use Tivi you obvioulsy have the M3U url therefore you could always try IPTV Extreme Pro from the play store. There is no trial, you have to purchase the app but it is cheap, about B50 and well worth it. Not as slick as Tivi but many many more otions including a buffer that I describe how to implement in Tivi below:- One of the benefits of Tivi is you can set VLC as an external player to remove buffering due to Internet issues with Live streams. All that is required is to change a couple of VLC settings to form a 1 minute pre-load FiFo in RAM which will either remove or significantly reduce buffering. Smarters does the same for Catch-Up and VOD.
  8. What apps do you use to stream IPTV?
  9. The Farang I was referring to has his own Thai registered company employing Thais. I can assure you a work visa for a Farang employing Thais is NOT a straightforward matter as you are implying. BTW: I have done my own visa and 90 day report for years.
  10. Before I took on the 90 day / annual visa task myself I used Assist and I highly recommend them. I know Farangs that use Assist to sort out the nightmare of a Farang work related visa and they also recomend. I hope this helps ????
  11. Nah, according to 'Her Indoors' Thai Immigration are now working weekends or at least they work weekends in CM.
  12. I submitted my online 90 application to Chiang Mai immigration at 1:30pm on December 19th. I received the confirmation at midday today, Sunday December 25th!!! Prior to this application previous applications were approved in hours with the longest approval taking just over a day.
  13. You wrote "And if you use IPTV you have to test IPTV and also not with a speed test server. You really have to test with things that you use." and I agree. I tell those I support with IPTV stream buffering issues that quote speed test results to me that a speed test is only an indicator which is why I said:- I use Testmy to test the IIG (International Internet Gateway) to assess the likely performance of my IPTV stream. Maybe you missed the importance of my formatted text ???? I can assure you 'Buffering' whereby the IPTV stream stutters from one frame to the next is one of the most difficult IPTV issue to diagnose and resolve as there are so many potential causes without a one fix all solution which is only made far worse with an op who has buffering issues failing to report the complete picture. Speed tests are just a tool that provide useful information but should never be used as a diagnostic. My response being applicable to both your and the previous op's comments ????
  14. I am avidly following your comments on the AIS 30Mb/s Unlimited annual SIM because this is the one that I opted for to use in my tablet. Let me add my ha'penny worth to speed tests:- You did NOT make a schoolboy error and TestMy.Net is NOT useless. FAST.COM may give a more reliable test result than Ookla but I use the Ookla app on both my phone and STB. The app also has a video test that streams video from SD up to 4k and presents the results in a simple report. I use Testmy to test the IIG (International Internet Gateway) to assess the likely performance of my IPTV stream. With Testmy it is easy to select speed test servers in Europe whereas this is rather difficult with Ookla. I have used Testmy for around 8 years in Thailand and I can assure you the 3BB IIG has improved out of all recognition during that time period ???? BTW: One of the IPTV stream sources has the Testmy speed test on their website and the reason they use Testmy is simple; Testmy gives realistic IIG results. Both Ookla and Fast are running local (internal to Thailand) speed tests. These results are realistic for YouTube who have servers in Thailand but not for my IPTV who only have European servers. In a nutshell, you did not make a schoolboy error as each speed test has its use depending on what info you require. BTW: You said you were old but I bet I am older than you and I'm an old git to boot ???? Keep up your reports as I am sure others are also finding your comments useful.
  15. Yes, this is what is meant by 'Cycling' however, to be effective the router should be powered off for at least a minute. I normally power off the router for 2 minutes to be on the safe side. I am led to believe a long router power off forces an ISP reset (equivalent to picking up the phone and asking the ISP to reset your link) but am willing to be corrected ????
  16. Agreed, the FireStick remote is very good but you failed to mention that Amazon have updated their sw so you can no longer install 3rd party apps without undertaking a simple frig. Woe betide when Amazon remove the simple frig. Be warned. BTW: Who needs to remove YouTube or NetFix when you can have 64GB storage for less than B1k5 ????
  17. I know people say you get what you pay for but it seems this does not always apply to IPTV streams. The Snip below gives an idea of the quality of the IPTV streams I use:- The Snip is from the Discord Support forum. Regarding LeamingSpaceman's comment on support, most support questions are answered and resolved in somewhere between 5 & 30 minutes. My IPTV supplier has over 100 resellers supplying IPTV to more than 55k customers based all over the world which just shows they must be doing something right. With that many customers they can offer low pricing of £60 annually with a very reliable IPTV stream to boot, see the Snip above If you want further info. please DM me with your questions and I will do my best to answer. BTW: The £60 annual sub includes PPV with 7 days of Catch-up on UK streams. Finally, my recommendations for a Set Top Box are either an Amlogic X96 Air or an X96 x4. Both STB's have an excellent CPU for streaming IPTV and are available from Lazada or AliExpress with 4GB eMMC (mistakenly called RAM) and 64GB of storage. If you want a cheaper alternative go for an Amlogic X96 Max+

  20. and the real reason for using Bit.ly; I provide support in my IPTV suppliers forum. In the forum a client asked for VPN recommendations so I searched for Stacksocial, saw the offer was still on, copied the URL into Bit.ly. Searched for the VpN review, opened the review and copied the url into Bit.ly. Later, I came across the Wireguard review and likewise copied this url into Bit.ly for safe keeping. There are 2 reasons for using Bit.ly in the IPTV forum:- i) I was sure this reguest would come up again and sure enought it has so now I have all of the info in one place, I don't have to repeat my search or look in my bookmarks. ii) Providing support, it is painfully obvious clients do not read install instructions and we finish up having to direct clients to the instruction page. If a client asks for info and I store links in Bit.ly I have an idea as to whether or not they have bothered to read the support info I have provided. If you think I am going to open the Bit.ly links and then copy each of the url's from the browser instead of just copying the shortened link you have got another think coming! Anyay, it wasn't you who requested the info so you didn't have to stick your oar in!
  21. Well said and I couldn't agree more. The op asked for info and I provided info in the manner that I thought most appropriate. Interestingly myself and the op have had a very long conversation about these matters in private but as he posted his request in the forum I replied in the forum so that all may benefit but it seems to have ruffled the feathers of one individual to which I would say..... c'est la vie!
  22. and I thought the same but after spending an inordinate amount of time investigating I have sussed the root cause of my buffering and for the last two days my 3BB and IPTV connections have not missed a beat. I have to take my hat off to 3BB because I have maligned them in error when, in fact, they are maybe the very best ISP in Thailand at the moment???? cheersD
