Hello
a very good friend of mine arrived from BKK A little over 5 years ago ,
She is single , and the visa she was granted was indefinite leave to enter.
ILE visa.
She also passed this test
NOCN E1 (pic attached )
is this the correct test that will enable her to apply for British Citizenship ?
Thanks

Very few genuine tourists, without links to Thailand, are coming the reasons for this are the insurance required, $50,000 has to be stipulated on the document, which is not usually the case when buying a traditional insurance policy, and the having to pay again
for AXA Thailand (for example)
Also The word getting out about locking you up in hospital if you test positive.
The paperwork required to gain entry
No bars open
Genuine tourists will and are going elsewhere.

11 hours ago, shdmn said:Then why do you (supposedly) live or visit? If it sucks so bad don't go there.
Because I don’t go to Pattaya and pretend it’s upmarket
I go to Pattaya for fun.

Whilst the beach washes away yearly, and black water continues to be spilt into the ocean with seemingly every deluge of rain,
It will never be a family nor upmarket destination.

We paid 45,000 baht including labour
for 500 m2
We planted ours 23rd Dec
Waiting to see the results.
Can post some updated pics as and when ,
if you would like
Can give you details of the guy who did ours .
Our house is in Phetchabun, the team of workers came from Korat , took them 2 days, they stayed overnight ,Thai style at our farm.
They deliver the plugs via Kerry if you wish to get your own team of workers in.
We opted for the all inclusive option.
We actually needed about 800m2But was advised that 500 m2 would spread out to cover the 800 m2 area given a few more months .
We have planted a border around the house, which will spread. The pic I posted of our planting has a concrete defined edge, but you can see the other side toward the lake , has stopped short of the whole area,, this area will fill itself
Thanks

I find that if I eat a big meal at tea time, then I don't feel like a beer, I am a tea time drinker.
I try to regulate to one day on, one day off, 3 to 5 large Leo's,

The question of bringing up kids in Thai or UK has always brought conflicting scenarios in my own head, I have a 3 year old son.
I also have a lovely house and farm here in Thailand, the farm makes approx 70,000 baht per month, I have 18,000 chickens.
I want to put up another chicken shed cost about 2 mill baht, then the business will be making in the region of 140,000 baht per month.
So my dilema is, I want to do this for my son in later life, but feel I am choosing a path for him, I dont think there are many opportunities here for him to make that sort of money, without him being shipped off to an International school and such I will never share his life.
Or go back to the UK where the standard of education is unquestionally better, and lots more opportunities in later life.
For me it's a tough call, just hope I get it right.

Sorry to Hijack but....
I am wanting one of them old small tractors, retailing about 40,000 baht, just to cut my grass and plough 6 /7 rai or so every now and again, just to keep the weeds down.It wouldn't be used for heavy work, anything to lookout for on these old machines?
