  1. This does not surprise me. Just like the practice when trying to open an account. Diff. rules at every branch. The request wasn't odd at the time as suddenly a TIN was requested by banks in EU countries where we hold accounts. Austria automatically deducts 35% tax @ source from income as we are not resident or citizens.
  2. Each & every bank in diff countries who are part of this tax collection scheme now asks for your TIN. Try Europe when you go there next. Ask a Singapore bank.
  3. The pin needs to set/heal. Some heal quicker than others. About 4 months later they can start with the crown work. All depends on the implant system used.
  4. The dental lab needs to be where the dentist is. If any adjustments are required how long does it take to get it sorted out? Btw, there shld be no problems once the implant is done. It must fit when it gets put in. Having seen a BBC docu about dental work in Turkey I'd find another dentist who uses a German lab. Can help you with a dentist in Bkk but not Pattaya.
  5. I'd make 100% sure this is the case before I move. You require quite a bit of income to qualify for the Malaysian Mm2H permit to stay. You may as well apply for LTR visa in Thailand.
  6. My husband recently needed a new ATM card. BKK Bank asked for his Thai TIN.
  7. There is no one fits all implant. Work and consequently price depends on what the state of your gums require. If you don't have enouhj bone depth you need a sinus lift. This requires special surgery, same if you need bone implant before you can put in a tooth implant. Your implant may be cheaper here. Not necessarily same quality. I made this experience.
  8. Don't forget in EU countries they deduct 35% tax at source from investment income. You can claim some back by doing income tax return. It isn't that we don't all pay no tax when not filing an income tax return in a home country.
  9. Yes, sent to this address. In my case it was 35% DE/AT. Account was in DE but we were stuck in lockdown in AT and became liable for tax.
  10. What is new about this scam? Never thought it would need a YT video to alert travellers.
  11. This is an experience I had with them when I tried to book with points plus cash. They would only allow me to book economy. Now I use Etihad. Ticket was slightly cheaper.
  12. Landlord kept throwing draincleaner stuff down to no avail. We moved out after 6 mts.
  13. I cannot comment on Thailand. I have applied for Quellensteuer tax refund from Germans with tax cert. from Austria where I lived during lockdowns. Submitted in 2021. Never heard from then. Sent it off registered. They received it. But I have no reference that I could even complain to them. Don't expect any money back from them.
  14. 140K at Rutnin? This is steep. Rather go to Bumrungrad for this price. I paid 63K @ Medpark last year.
  15. Have not met an eye surgeon who recommended multifocal. It's just add money for them.
  16. In my case hubby did the eye drops for me. No need to pay for hospital bed.
  17. Once yr ext. of stay willfully comes under the heading "why be difficult if it can be impossible" you may see the issue less relaxed.
  18. Wow, what a price. Costs less at top Bkk hospitals. General anaesthetic is a last resort as you are required to follow instruction for eye movement. You cannot do it when you are out. You may have had a sedation.
  19. I had both eyes operated at Medpark in Bkk. No overnight stay required. It requires eyedrops every 3 hrs post surgery for the 1st 12 hrs? Some ppl can't do it and can get it done by staying overnight. So my doc at Medpark explained.
