Retirement Visa Query
Thaifly88 replied to Thaifly88's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
the lease requirement may be a stumbling block for me. My intention is to stay in cheapish hotels on monthly rates when I'm in Thailand. I doubt they will provide a lease that immigration may need. -

Retirement Visa Query

Noted - thank you.. -
Once my non-O retirement visa and multiple entry permit is established, how many months a year can I spend outside Thailand and still maintain the visa or extension as the case may be ? The reason for the question is that I want to spend about half the year in Thailand, but the other half in neighbouring Asian countries travelling. The sIx months or so in Thailand would not necessarily be in one block. My thinking is that if I try to do this with tourist visas I have an annual time in country limit to adhere to. I am happy to comply with all aspects of the retirement visa including the 800k in a Thai bank.

Why does a Thai family need to have a gun in the house ? This is one area where following the lead from the USA is definitely not a good idea !

or in this case minding your own business, but having the audacity to not wear a mask while sitting alone on the beach. We should all respect Thai peoples feelings about the virus and wear a mask, however, to be physically assaulted as a first response, rather than saying 'put on your mask' rather reverses who was being an <deleted>. There is a wider issue here as well, about how easily Thai men in groups think nothing of attacking foreigners.

Pub-like Eateries to Be Closed at Level 4 COVID Alert

Barcelona is a nice place, but the residents not so sharp -
I am very interested to know the full story. So, it was a bank employee offering a product that was not actually offered or endorsed by the bank, but he did this 'business' on bank premises. I would suggest the bank's liability would commence the moment they knew about the employee doing this and what action they then took. Prior to that, how can the bank be liable for an employee committing something fraudulent that they have no knowledge of and never endorsed ?

It's time for the stick approach now. The carrot approach and explanations as to why people need to be vaccinated has run it's course. All those people are now vaccinated. The remaining recalcitrants need the proverbial stick applied applied to their nether regions to bring them into line with what the community expects of them. If they still choose not to be vaccinated it's absolutely time for ostracism. No access to any public areas including gyms, cinemas, shopping centres, condominiums. They can live like lepers outside the city areas and buy their food at designated roadside stalls. No further extensions to any type of visa's to the unvaccinated needs to be implemented ASAP.

Anutin speaks out on the unvaccinated possibly facing restrictions
Thaifly88 replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
vaccinated people can carry the virus just the same as unvaccinated people - totally incorrect as many other have already pointed out and I will reiterate. Vaccinated people can carry the virus, but are far less likely to contract it in the first place. This is really not difficult stuff, it's about protecting yourself and your fellow citizens - get jabbed ! -

hear hear - the PC statement that both vaccinated and unvaccinated can carry and transmit the virus is true, however, the unvaccinated are far likely to contract the virus and pass it on. Also, the unvaccinated are a far greater burden on the health system than the vaccinated. It's not about personal choice, it's about the unvaccinated taking up valuable ICU spots that could have been prevented. Singapore agrees that it is a personal choice to be vaccinated or not, and they now do not cover the unvaccinated in their national health scheme if they contract Covid. -
