Sorry to just read about your accident. May i ask who you are insured with , and if you dont mind , what is the price / level of cover. Seems your treatment has been good so far. Speedy and full recovery. -

The rule has been IDP is valid for 3 months constant single use . Whether the police check , or know , is another point. A UK IDP is still £5.50 , but now has a 3 year life. -
KOVE bikes have being receiving fantastic reviews from many testers , however ive been in touch with them (very professional response) and sadly there are no plans as of yet to import into Thailand. Maybe they need to be sure of a decent customer base , before commiting to opening dealerships. The Mash bikes seem to get good reviews if your after a stylish cruiser type bike.

A book . Good idea. I remember when the "Grey imports" came out. There was even a monthly magazine dedicated to them. Bikes you couldnt get in England. The biggest shop seemed to be BAT motorcycles. A friend bought a NC 30 from DK motorcycles (Stoke ?) and asked me to ride it home to Solihull. Went rather well. The willingness to rev and the razor like handling sets these small race replicas apart from the more agricultural bikes. The Tiger would have been an excellent choice too. -
Thank you. Thats put my mind at ease. Guess i owe you that beer !

No-one told me there was a 90 day tourist visa (SEVT). I was hoping one existed as im worried ir i book the flights and dont get the extension , im stuffed , and will have to book another flight.
-
Thats perfect. Thank you everyone for your help.

In the previous years i got a 60 day tourist visa from Thai embassy in London , by post. Can i do this again except for 90 days , or just get a 60 day tourist visa again , then extend once in TH.
-
Sorry , i should have said its just a holiday / tourist visa im after. I dont qualify for marriage visa , nor am i paying the 65,000 each month. Thanks.

Hello all. I will be returning to Chiang Mai in April. I usually stay for 2 months , but this time intend to stay for 3 months. Would it be easier to get a 90 day visa in the UK (if possible) or should i get my usual 60 day visa , and extend it once i arrive ?. If so . how do i best do this. Also , do i book the return flight the same time as the outbound flight. Ie , up to 90 days later. Im concerned if i dont get the extra 30 day extension , i will have to re_book the return flight. Many thanks.

Hello stranger. You and your technical knowledge are sorely missed from the motorcycle page. Hope all is well. Best wishes.

Cheers. It could have been slight axle/trans wind-up causing the disengagement issue.

When you swapped out the original axle oil / transfer case oil ( not the gearbox oil ) , what Mobile oil did you use. Was this on an auto motor. Thanks.

Yamahas are well over engineered , compared to honda. -
Ive used this guy before , for motorbike boots. Superb service. He is just a few meters away , and on the same side , from the Queen Victoria Farang cemetry.

If , maybe , you can contact the registered owner / can put the green book in your name. My GB is , whats called , "Frozen". All legal , but no longer changeable.
-
Hes long gone. i dont mind the book being in another name. Taxed/insured previous years no problem. Dont intend to sell bike. Thanks.
-
And the added problem of the green book not being in my name. This is what could loose me the bike as i wont be able to get another reg without the origanal owner/ affidavit . Cheers.
