Could anyone tell me the latest on single entry O visa retirement with no financial documents?

Reason I am just completing my last B visa 31st March 2015, and all of a sudden come down with a health problem.

So have had to change things about quickly just to do a visa run, so I can book myself into hospital as soon as I return from Lao.

    Many thanks in advance.

    Paul.

  2. Update to the time it took to get my renewed UK passport back from the UK and review of trendy.

20 days from application to returned to BKK, Trendy very good service very friendly and polite, biggrin.png just a shame the passport can’t be EMS back to Issan.

A lot better than my last experience with the British embassy felt like a pile of Do Do on the floor.

I have one question as I will be on a tight schedule on getting back to Mor Chit bus station, about getting this letter from the Brit embassy how long does it take 1 hour or more?

Thanks for the Info in advance.

    Paul

  3. I believe the "Teachers" are paid exactly what they are worth, very little! but they are part of the failed education system, needs reform badly, then get better Teachers and then pay them accordingly.

Then in say 5 Years we may have some well educated kids, maybe!

    Wrong my friend.

Fully qualified Govt teacher 15 years’ service gets around 32K, if they kiss the directors a**e enough, they get 2 X 4% rise pre year plus all the other perks.

Out a 32K she took home 12K rest was paying debts. new car, etc, etc, etc.

    Was married to one.

  4. Additional question: Is there at least a bar near the central Bus-Station now? Was not the case 2 years ago. Back then, plenty of thirsty Farangs waiting for the bus back to BKK.

As said, this was 2 years ago. Possibly someone has taken up this business opportunity, instead of selling som-tam and competing with 15 other som-tam sellers in the same spot. ?!?

    Cheers.

I retired (from a good job)in 2011 , and will move full time to Chiang Mai in a few years , when i turn 50. I havent bothered to factor in my "state pension" payments into my finances , as , in 20 (or more) years , there wont be enough money in the pot to may many people much at all. I fear many people banking on a pension -in a few years - wont get one , the state the countrys in.

Very true. Which is why people should stop relying on governments and look after themselves. Unfortunately most people aren't able to so that, especially in the West.

Nothing to do with relying on the government I paid in to my pension for over 42 years.
