Cannot find any information about a new wave of infection in Phuket. Another sloppy headline?

And the same to everyone on this forum.
In whatever shape or form you celebrate this time of the year.

I was referring back to the summer , when the virus was being controlled .
The people ignoring the social distancing requests and congregating , rioting and protesting in their 10s of 1000s every week-end
Fair enough, but there was always going to be a resurgence come winter. Even more reason for the government to have taken steps, given that they had already seen what happened the 1st time around.

The general public need to take a lot of the blame , they have been the ones who havent been following the rules
Judging from the crowds at the Darts Championship I am currently watching, there is no such thing as a pandemic going on right now. Are they all living in an alternate universe? How was that ever allowed given that football teams are having to play to empty stadiums. There is no logic in the whole management of this in the UK. And only the government is to blame for allowing this. No wonder the statistics are so grim there.

Oh how lovely now, drunk and fighting with the wife.. wait a minute until i mint the medal for it...
She must have started it! I bet he arrived home feeling on top of the world and filled with some much love that he had to share. Her unfairly rebuking him and rejecting his attempts to show her how much he loved her is what probably led to all the problems. Woman will just never understand. Sigh!!!

Covid-19 Situation Reports:
Samut Sakhon 14 0 Last update: 18/12/2020 14:47 on the moph website.
If these 13 cases are included in the above statistics then this is only the second incidence of an infection in that area out of a population of almost 580000.
The headline is perhaps a tad misleading as two incidents does not show any pattern or trend. The overused word "spike" also seems to be a favourite in Western MSM reporting.

Only one reason for this: Bad management.

The question is: is there light at the end of it? The way this is being dragged out, it must be the longest tunnel ever.

Can't be doing Microsoft's image much good if this is true. Surly it will impact their market share.

Nuts they might be, but they have a right to choose not to get it. Never mind what they base their motivation on.
Those that choose not to get it will in no way be a threat to those that do.
However, what is not needed is opposing sides insulting and / or labeling the other side. This is less that adult behaviour.
Time will tell if the various vaccines being tested now do what they are being touted to do.

If losing 99% of its purchasing power since 1913 is not considered a collapse, how much would it need to sink further for you to consider it a collapse?

I would rather call it a prolonged steady downward trend rather than a collapse . And the growth in foreign debt should show the mirror image of this graph.

Just a thought but isn't it winter in Sweden now ? isn't that normally the time when hospitals are stretched to their limits ?
Come on! You know this is an inconvenient fact to mention. It spoils the whole narrative.

Are the medics not required to wear gloves? Wonder if this will get any attention.

Same orders as last year and the year beforw that? The orders to find solutions that never come because the orders aren't accompanied with a formulated workable solution, nor a budget. The permanent secretary just flapping his gums resulting in noise pollution.
Same with the flooding. Officials will "monitor the situation".

That's a start, and the easy part. Enforcing it is where the problem lies. Time will tell if they are serious about this or just passing another law that will only exist in the statute book.

And many more Trump appointees will now be scrambling to update their CVs now that they face unemployment, I am sure.

But please carry on with your China bashing.

Is it really a second wave?
If not for the actions taken and all the attention the media gave this, would anybody even be aware that there had been a first wave? I doubt it

Thank you for your politeness, as to baseless, time will tell, I sincerely hope they are. Biden (seemingly a nice enough person) is not an achiever or an inspirational anything,he will just do what his owners tell him to do, Harris, who knows what she is, a soft Marxist?
That is what all US presidents do. All that campaign money did not fall out of thin air and promises and pledges made, have to be honoured. Lobbying in the corridors of government is where the real power lies. The rest is just a show.

The Republican plaintiffs argued that the universal, "no-excuse" mail-in ballot program passed by the Republican-controlled Pennsylvania legislature in 2019, enabling voters to cast ballots by mail for any reason, violated the state's constitution. This from the article.
When the Republicans changed the state constitution to allow this they had good reasons I suppose for doing so. One of which was probably that they hoped it would benefit them. Because it backfired on them, it's wrong?
