  1. I used to this several times a year pre-covid. Last time was a week or two before lockdowns. Emirates fllight to Hong Kong, chill at the business lounge never leaving the airport and fly back on same plane and same crew which always sparked a convo with crew :) Never went thru immigration in HK as they don't do stamps there anyway, Did it to Kuala Lumpur once but did pass thru immigration to get the stamp if needed so I was in Kuala Lumpur for about 20 minutes . Immigration officer on the way back out of KL did have a laugh about it when he asked me why ;) Flew to Singapore but always stayed one night at least. This was all before covid. Last year flew to Europe for 2 months and back on entry sent back to the desk to discuss it. I was with my Thai wife and son. Did manage to get in but was told to get a visa. Did have a ton of covid extensions in my passport so probably the biggest reason I was not let in at first.
  2. Well i am from an EU country and stayed here during the whole covid time on covid extentions. I went back home and stayed there for a month and half. Last month flew back to bkk trying to enter visa exempt and i had issues. Eventually let in but was sent back to the desk next to immigration and few other IOs were called and had a chat among themselves and after a while was told not to come again visa exempt. I am married and have a thai kid and they were with me at the airport on the same flight and were let in just before me. So maybe because i am married they think i should have a non o but for the short time i planned staying here didn't make sense to get one. Just my experience. Make of it what you will.
  3. I don't know. Just saying try to check those. Saudia, gulf, oman. I saw some very affordable business class tickets when i was looking for it last month. I am sure some do fly to the UK. EDIT: quick google check. seems they all fly to the UK
  4. Try checking out the less known Arabic airlines. I just flew Gulf air to Frankfurt last month and paid about 70k for 2 one way tickets Bkk-Fra. Was one of the best Biz class experiences i had. Gulf air and Oman air both have the same seats.
  5. Well i made it. Day 1: Tested early morning EU time, got the result late afternoon and submitted all the info for Thailand pass Day 2: woke up was approved for Thailand pass Day 3: Flight at 5pm EU time At check in had to show TP, PCR test and insurance. In Bkk showed only Thailand pass. A380 from Doha was full both eco and biz. Arrived here some 15 hours later and no issues with the Thailand pass. There were issues because of my previous 2 years of covid extensions and trying to enter Visa exempt, even got sent pack to the desk but at the end was let in. Told to get a Non-o next time to avoid problems.
  6. Is 48-72 hours enough? I assume from a few posts i read most people get approved within a day? At least it 72 hours before departure not arrival.
  7. As it is worded i would think need to attach it with the application.
  8. On the Thailand pass it says: Attach required documents including passport, and COVID-19 RT-PCR test result issued within 72 hours before traveling (must attach on Thailand Pass only) Can you attach this later or have to do it when you apply? If need to submit when applying then can only apply less than 72 hours before departure? Also have to think of the time it takes to get the results of the test so possibly about 48 hours before departure.
  9. Yeah I have been told by the one sitting on the far right (at MTT), a bit older than the others and a bit heavier than the others that I need to get a ticket and leave but this time she will give me 60 days one more time. And this one was also saying she won't give me an extension on my first covid extension over a year ago. Since then I was always called to another IOs desk but this time got "lucky" again ???? I don't plan to do any more extensions so either way fine by me ????
  10. I was under the impression it wouldn't be that easy ???? In that other thread the woman was allowed to leave but after 2 hours of discussions. Anyone else was able to leave with a dual citizenship child with no entry stamp in foreign passport?
  11. I've found a years old post where a foreign mother was allowed to leave Thailand via Bkk airport with her Dual citizenship baby born in Thailand with the foreign passport but not much more so does anyone know if this is possible. So leaving Thailand (Bkk airport) with a dual citizenship child (12yo if it makes any difference) on his EU passport issued by the embassy with no stamps in it? Anything forbidding this? I know normally would leave and enter on Thai passport but if no valid Thai passport at the moment but only the EU one and showing up at the airport with only a valid EU passport with no entry stamps?
  12. I did my covid extension yesterday at MTT and was nothing mentioned of any new requirements. But it did say from November 30th they will only work mornings until noon. And they did not hand out forms for your next extension as they did last 2 times I did the extension and also no sticker on passport saying to come early for next extensions to avoid crowds. Does feel like I will have to leave in January. Wanted to stay till early March when my kid has school holiday and fly back together but not sure if it will be possible. Also contacted an agent and they said they can't do any extensions right now other than 60 day covid due to "change of officers at immigration" and to try contacting them again in a month if something has changed.
  13. Well it's 3 weeks for MTT. Maybe could be a translation issue both being 3 "something" ????
  14. Went there morning about 9. Was more people then the last 2 times when I went afternoon but since the online appointment site is not working there are signs everywhere there are only 300 que numbers per day. And just sitting there when I was waiting for my passport I counted almost 100 people so if you go afternoon they might tell you to come back tomorrow. Overall did not take long. It's like an assembly line now. No questions asked. Sign here, take mask off and look at camera, give 1900THB and go wait there until your number is called. I got the 60 day extension there without the 14 day wait period so no need to return anymore to get another stamp. Then I heard there was some mention that we would now have to do 90 day reports but nothing was said about that there. And there was also some news this week about that you should do your extension no more than 3 days before expiry but I got a note in my passport to do it 3 weeks before next time so not sure what is that all about. They also gave me and everyone else all the form to fill in for next time. I entered on visa exempt so doing the extensions at the new location not at CW.
