Ha ha ha ha ha, hilarious, thousands of native English speakers willing to teach but too many barriers from ignorance and arrogance.
Richly deserved

A lot of tourist rent a motorbike using their driving license the police have been onto that for few years, Make sure your license covers you to ride a bike, I think the law also now states you must have an International Driving Permit
It is not widely known or publicised but all ASEAN countries recognise each others licenses for driving.
My Philippines license is readily accepted in Thailand but I have to argue with the police in Bali.

No, they're not, there all in custody, they're not running free!
The prosecutors office is not one person so making a decision to indict in 14 days is not unreasonable and that's all they have to decide, whether there's enough evidence to justify proceeding to court with the case.
They are not ruling on the guilt or otherwise of the accused.
Yes, I can see it now, "video evidence is tainted and may have been unlawfully acquired" there being no admissions and no other evidence we have to dismiss the case, sorry about that.

I believe that it was probably a driver who uses two feet to drive, I have seen it everywhere in Asia particularly.
Mostly with Autos you can see the brake lights flicking on and off while accelerating.
This causes the sensation of pushing down with both feet in an emergency and the accelerator wins.

Certainly a good idea, commonly referred to as a "tropical roof".
A few things to be aware of, the typhoons tend to be able to attack them, as the sides must all be open for the air to circulate freely. I suggest stranded stainless steel wire across the roof to hold the sheets as per cyclone construction technique.
It is a great idea and works very well.

And they know this by reading international newspapers, watching BBC World News and trawling TV three times a week? I think not. No doubt many countries are open for returns but many are not (Australia springs to mind...it can take months for an Australian citizen to get permission to return and a spot in a quarantine hotel). The truth is they have little idea what the rules are in Thailand and no clue what they are elsewhere. I am not suggesting that COVID extensions should go on forever but saying "no farang is stranded anymore" is simply not true.
The Aussie experience, I asked DFAT for a certificate of entry for December and was told that they do not exist.
Entry is granted to ALL confirmed air tickets?
I suspect it is the responsibility of the airline to ensure that the passengers are eligible for entry and if the flight is granted permission to fly then the authorities have pre booked the hotel accommodation.
I will let you know how I get on, Bacolod to Manila, Manila to Denpasar and Denpasar to Perth, booked paid for and confirmed.
I was hoping that with a negative PCR test before flying and two vaccine shots home quarantine may be allowed but a recent outbreak of the Delta varient has them all in a tizz, so I will probably have to pony up the $2,500 AUD for hotel quarantine.

Seriously, the British Embassy should get off their backsides and arrange something similar for UK expats. You might think that they would be shamed into doing something but I guess that the chances of anything happening are slim to none!
I am currently in the Philippines and the local government has arranged for all people over 65, local or foriegner and priority vaccinating free of charge in a well conducted program for which I am extremely grateful.

All pray to the mighty PM Uncle Tu, he is the almighty Czar and defeater of Covid. 100 million doses of vaccine will soon be pumping into the arms of all that reside in Thailand. He will achieve the impossible in just 4 months and then break bread after walking on the water (of course on top of a submarine), but nonetheless he is a man of his words, "There will not be a coup" "I will tackle Corruption" etc.......he has the country in his firm grip.
I suspect he has got a firm grip on something?

Sorry but I'm still pretty sure it is fraud. The main reason people do it is to avoid the proof of life letter requirement.
I am surprised that they don't have access to the passport and visa arrival and departure data?
I know that the Australian Centrelink, our pensions department has this access.

Light at the end of the tunnel......
Trial allowing vaccinated Australians to travel overseas could start in six weeks
Pilot program for immunised people to leave and return under relaxed restrictions could begin soon, Greg Hunt tells colleagues
"For example, fully vaccinated passengers returning from less risky countries could be allowed to take a rapid antigen test, and then a full Covid test, and leave quarantine after negative results."
One down side is that Thailand at the moment is not a "less risky country"......
I have been waiting for the conversation on how they will manage the "normal" travel to reopen the country.
I suggest this post will be similar to the reality.

What do you mean an untested vaccine ?
The vaccines available in the West have been fully tested it’s just that the process has been speeded up.
Decline the vaccine if you wish, myself and several expat friends here in the North are booked in to receive the AstraZeneca jab in early June.
I hope you don’t contract Covid as I suspect the effects will be worse than anything you experience from the vaccine.
Like Rooster I remember a couple of kids at school and a teacher who contracted Polio and it wasn’t nice.
All my life I have kept all my vaccines up to date and still do.
My young daughter receives every vaccine available and recommended.
Yes, my story too, living in the Philippines and just had my first jab with the Astra Zenica vaccine and I have an appointment for the 14 th July for the second shot, no charge and very professionally done.
I am grateful for their care.

In totally the wrong position for a lift like that. He should have been sideways on then he would have had the legs and counterbalance weights in his favour. Lifting over the rear is asking for trouble and shows inexperience as there is nothing to stop it toppling. Plus I will bet the alarms had been removed/faulty.
I couldn't agree with you more, but what were the counterbalance weights anyway?
Maybe not set up for the job after the last one.
As also pointed out the ground did not look good either

Truly excellent to see the Government supporting its staff, I am certain there will be extra precautions taken by the medical team.

That's interesting as today a man who didn't like me stopping him from queue jumping at the lights in his pickup and bibbed his horn decided he wanted to take it further and got out and bravely produced his machete, I let him get out in the middle of the road blocking the oncomng traffic and then drove off leaving the selfish impatient idiot sitting there. So brave had to get his machete out for his blatant selfishness. Right next to the Police box..........no sign of them of course.
My God, you are brave or crazy, most of them have a gun and a lot less than that to set them off.

Watching all this unfold over the last 12 months is like seeing a naughty little kid being punished - with Thailand being the arrogant, conceited, spoiled kid who's now had all his toys confiscated and his pocket money stopped.
"Awwww mom, I didn't mean it. Farangs are nice . . . really! I promise I'll let them in the country as long as they have 2 weeks in lockdown quarantine in a 5-stay hotel, take 8 weeks vacation, buy wonderful government insurance on top of their own, and sign up with a Thai agency abroad."
"Awwwww mom! OK - I've got an idea to get 20 million tourists in the next 2 months! No? I want my toys back! How about an idea that brings in 30 million tourists by next week? No? What about golfing quarantine? Yacht quarantine? Huntin shootin 'n' fishin quarantine? AWWWWWW MOM!"
"OK OK OK - I'll be nice and stop ripping-off farangs. No? Bubbles - we can make lots of bubbles with falang countries then they'll all want to come and see me again. Here's an idea to get just the really rich ones - we can get only one million but they'll have 30 times more money than the silly little day-trippers so we don't need so many? No? Special visas? Keep 'em captive on islands? Make quarantine only 10 days? I can do that 'sustain' thing . . . just tell me what it means, I'll do it. I promise to clean my room and not break any more farangs . . . honest!"
"AWWWW MOM! I WANT MY TOURISTS BACK. BWAAAA SNIFF SOB - I'M REALLY SORRY FOR TREATING THEM SO BAD!"Five star effort, I love it.
I have not seen any reference to the transport industry?
Buses, vans and boats have killed twenty times as many as zip lines?

Thailand Expects Endemic COVID-19

I am 75, living in the Philippines and I have just been through the Virus thing.
Probably Delta two really bad days and a third day not nice then steady recovery with nasty persistent cough.
Triple vaxed and fortunately able to home quarantine..
I am in reasonable health and I am not quite so apprehensive about it now.
