  1. As a GSD lover, I really hope you find him and can only imagine what you must be going through. I am looking for him everywhere I go at present (even taking detour routes just incase) as know once you get into jungle you can pop out anywhere quite quickly.

I spotted today that alot of posters seem to have been removed from the green street lights in Bang Rak, maybe get them put back onto the concrete electric posts, and follow up in choeng mon, plai laem and bophut/chaweng borders.

Wishing you and your Shadow the best.

Thanks for everyone involved in finding Shadow he is now home safely, it also looks like he found a girlfriend on his travels.jap.gif

  2. Hello all

I have just got back from Chumphon looking at palm oil plantations

I would just like some clarification on what I was told by the wife.

    (1) Palm oil starts producing at around 4/5 year first few years around 15 kilos per palm then 30 kilos per palm after 6 years.

    (2) Palm is cut around every 20 days

(3)You have 22 palm trees per 1 rai

(4)40% of what you make goes back into the trees fertilizer cutting pruning ect,

    (5) Tor bor 5 land is ok to buy for farming as we will not be building on the land

(6)Does any body know what tax you pay on your profit?

Thanks any advice will be greatly appreciated

  3. :o Last week while diving Chumphon pinnacle two European divers were spear fishing, this is very dangerous while other divers are in the water, also I don't think is legal in Thailand.

I did not manage to see the boat they got on but there was only one other boat on the mooring line and to fishing boats a long way from the dive site.

If it is illegal then they should follow the rules. But if it is legal what is the problem? Skilled spearfisherman aren't that much dangerous and spearfishing is just great fun. Do non-spearfishing divers have more rights to be underwater then divers who like spearfishing nowadays?

I have no problems with spear fishing as long as it is away from other divers, Chumphon pinnacle has lots of divers around; it’s like shooting going around shooting in a wild life park full of visitors.

If you go spear fishing stay away from other divers and protected areas.
