Peaceful and smiling Thailand is an illusion. Much like the 36 countries I have lived or visited, violence knows no bounds. I hope the clerk recovers and these thugs receive the wrath of justice, if such a thing exists here. The Red Bull saga is an example.

Gluttony is easily remedied by taking smaller portions, eating it and returning if still hungry. Sadly, the customer(s) in question may not subscribe to that tactic and if a fine is posted concerning waste, then buyer beware.

Don't underestimate the collective power of one individual banding together with others of like minds. Unions, boycotts and sanctions are examples. The internet and forums such as this can drive change.

An apathetic and impotent goverment, coupled with a lack of mobile traffic police and an under-educated public = Carnage.

.As long as I have my health, food, shelter and friends, the rest is a bonus. No quarantees on savings, investments. Best wishes during these turbulent times.

Did this article really say people can't return to Ukraine because of political unrest? I thought it was only in Russia you couldn't call it a war.
So right. War: A state of open, armed, often prolonged conflict carried on between nations, states, or parties.

Some ugly comments from equally ugly people. The Russians I know are very like much me, peaceful, compassionate and honest.; universally hating Putin and his corrupt regime. There is a difference between the sheep (gullible people) and the wolf (Putin). One responds to kindness and the other with a stout club.

Little will change due to corruption, greed and ignorance. There is usually fanfare when something new goes up, but when the cameras and crowds are gone and time rolls on, the new object of worship falls into decay from the lack of simple maintenance. Sidewalks/footpaths are part of this this illusion, often being encroached upon by merchants, scooters or simply a case of falling apart. TAT should feature this mess in their advertising schemes.

Perhaps a new scheme to lure the Russian oligarchs to invest their money here. ????

Greed and corruption are dressed in many colors and fabrics. These two thrive on ignorance, fear and superstitio, and there is a bumper crop of the gullible in these parts.

More obstacles to recovery. Corruption is rampant here and there are those who see tourists as the means to a end. Once you land, anything can happen in the LOS (Land of Scams).

It's all about control. The truth is starting to be revealed and it isn't the party line.

Some very sick responses. Perhaps attributed to to substances which cause mental degredation.

On a side note, Black Canyon in Big-CX Mall has reopened.... rubbish new chairs, built for armless midgets.
I doubt those of diminutive height and disability will appreciate your reference to them.

A useless article until proven otherwise by personal experience.

"This includes RT-PCR test results, COVID vaccination certificates, and proof of accommodation/hotel payments".
I am staying put in Thailand until these requirements are abolished worldwide.

Can one expect the truth from any government or the media?

The real epidemic of death on the roadways is sadly ignored.

Another avoidable and sad death. The police come out after after the fact in lieu of pro-active, community based policing, an unknown art in these parts.

The next big storm will wash away the illusion that man can control the oceans.

Lopburi monkeys get a relocation reprieve
in Central Thailand

The monkey and dog population has needed "fixing" for decades (been coming her since 1993, now living here.). Sadly, government is seemingly impotent and too busy buying toys of war.
