  1. Exactly what sort of workout did you have in mind when you joined? Because it might be more of a walk out than a workout once they get to know you.
  2. The OP clearly states that his agent had requested this, not CM immigration directly. If this was an actual new requirement at CM immigration then there would be numerous reports of this from expats who have renewed their extensions recently. Particularly those who don't use agents. I live in Chiang Mai and I've not heard anything relating to this, not even on the Chiang Mai Facebook expats page. Personally, I think that the OP's agent is just fishing for information. Trying to find out how much money their clients are bringing into the country each month. And using immigration as an excuse to ask personal money related questions. They are probably looking partnering up with a financial advisor and moving into the taxation game. We all know this is going to happen.
  3. Non because in the real world, away from the drunken expat bar stool talk things are very different. They can't and never will refuse someone's extension of stay based purely on what other people are doing.
  4. Baan Tawai village? Particularly the road leading towards it.
  5. Hence the old joke about a man who mixed up to toothpaste with the hemorrhoid cream and woke up with a lovely ring of confidence.
  6. Playing with his skateboard? Does he have a mental age of 10? That would explain the temper tantrums.
  7. Minimum 15,000 steps a day. 2-3 sessions a week on my exercise bike.
  8. When will people learn. Don't antagonize the ladyboys! They have notoriously short fuses.
  9. Last year my wife was looking at buying a new Yamaha Grand Filano. The Yamaha website quoted that the top spec hybrid version was 68,500. In reality the dealerships were asking in excess of 85,000! This was in Chiang Mai. And that wasn't the farang price because a friend of my wife called someone she knew who worked at one of the dealerships.
  10. Don't forget to tell her that if she is receiving regular money from abroad it now has to be at the Thai revenue department. If I, as a foreigner have to declare all income that I bring into Thailand then so should all the Thai people who are receiving "sponsorship" money from abroad... There are several that live around me who receive monthly sums to take care of half Farang children.
  11. Or just do the sensible thing and refrain from riding motorcycles full stop.
  12. I can't find it either. And I have no intention of downloading it from anywhere other than the Google play store.
  13. Using one pair of chopsticks to manipulate both raw and cooked meat is never a good idea.
  14. I have a Brother laser printer (scanner copier) simply because I don't use it very often and it never dries out or becomes blocked. It's ready to go any time I need it.
  15. Because it is a popular pastime of those who are not terrified of having a loving commitment to another human being.
  16. Was this to obtain your first Thai license or renew an existing one? Because if you are renewing at CM then there is no need to book an online appointment because there is a separate counter that deals with foreigners. I did mine (5year) last year and was in and out within one hour
  17. Because they majority of Thai people only care about money, they won't demand justice for their kids. They will just see it a an opportunity for financial compensation.
  18. No she doesn't simply because non of what is written here is relevant to her life. This is a forum for expats, not for Thai people.
  19. Apparently the minivan driver reported that the vehicle "swerved unexpectedly entirely on its own" What are the chances of that happening...
  20. Please excuse my ignorance but I don't fully understand what this means.
  21. This is just my opinion. I would hold fire on getting a Thai tax ID number until you've been here 180 days (or whatever it is) starting from January 1st 2024. In theory, that is when you, become a Thai tax resident..... You don't want to put yourself in the Thai taxation system if there ends up being no need. Who knows what is going to happen over the next few months bearing in mind it has been reported in the Thai Enquirer that these new amendments are going to be contested. Even there is only 1% chance that things will change again it is worth hanging on until the second half of the year just to see how everything unfolds.
  22. Last year I had to wait 13 weeks...
