  1. Yet again, my points about hatred and ignorance are proven for me.

    Thank you.

FYI; the only people who think Alan Henning's murder, and those of the other victims, have any legitimacy are the murderers themselves.

These murders have been roundly condemned by Muslim leaders, imams etc. worldwide.

Still obsessed with your hate fantasy I see as well as trying to distance the killings from Islam itself when it is the one and only cause. Makes no difference how many Muslims condemn the killings, many also do not and it is true that the killers are merely following out the commands of Allah, and even using the methods of death as laid out for all to see in the Koran. When Muslims start to condemn the Koran and the doings of the prophet then they might be starting to wake up.

Reminds me of the Fitna video:

  2. I can't bear those dogs. There's invariably a sense of menace about them. And their owners too for that matter. Why anyone should be allowed to walk around in public with a dangerous animal off the leash, which if it attacked you or your loved ones, would be extremely difficult to pull off and may well kill you, beggars belief.
I once saw one tattooed pit bull owner sat in pub with his dog by his side. The owner's chest was puffed out, basking in the attention he was receiving as customers came up and nervously petted his dog, offering such niceties as "Isn't he cute" etc. The dog just sat there, expressionless, a giant pair of jaws on four legs. The only thing remotely cute about it at that moment in time was that it wasn't hanging off the end of someone's leg.
At the very least, there should be laws making it compulsory for them to be muzzled and leashed in public. Ideally, the entire breed, along with their tattooed owners should be placed in a giant industrial mincer, ground to a pulp, and eradicated.

  3. @smaran

If prisoners really preferred the death penalty to life imprisonment, then why do those on death row fight for years with a lawyer to avoid it? I fear you're you're talking out of your derrière old chap.

  4. saying that she aims to sharply reduce the human trafficking problem by next year because the United States' monitoring of Thailand as a transnational human trafficking hub does not bode well for foreign nations' confidence in the country.

Reading between the lines of this statement it appears the driver to reduce human trafficking is foreign nations' confidence in Thailand, not because it is inhumane and is a totally dispicable act against the human race.

Very astute you are, by stating the obvious.

And your "intelligent" comment adds exactly what value?

Most probably more than any of yours ever did.

  5. Like you're not claiming to be some resident Thaivisa road haulage and traffic accident expert by already having cleared the police escort and apportioned blame 100% to the transport company in your earlier post. rolleyes.gif

Having been involved in the engineering teams that have moved heavy things over the last 25 years of my engineering career in various countries in the world...such a nuclear reactors, oil and gas equipment, power plant equipment etc by land and sea...

I am conversant in the legal requirements/liabilities and insurances involved in moving such equipment....so from that perspective I can legitimately claim to have an "expert" level knowledge of such matters relating to the point I commented on...and as stated the police are not liable for this incident...the transport company are...onus is on them to ensure the route used is suitable... rolleyes.gif

That's the beauty of the internet. You can claim to be an expert in anything you want

  6. Is there any rebar in that bridge? How fast was the truck going to pull down that bridge? Should a bridge fall down that easily?

Cue the resident TV structural engineering experts...rolleyes.gif

I am more curious to know what this "oil rigging" equipment was on the trailer...

PS the Thai Daily News is today reporting the Director General of the Dept of Highways in Thailand as saying that the transport company had broken the law by carrying a load over 4.3 m high without prior permission and authorization from Dept of Transport.

Presumably the escorting police should have checked beforehand if permission had been granted, so bear some responsibility for not stopping the convey. May explain why they did a runner too.

  7. In home pro, I played hide and seek with the "shadows" one time, and then popped out and said "boo"...they scattered pretty quickly, and must have been thinking another ting tong farang, but the Mrs wasnt amused...biggrin.png

Think the sadest case in these home improvment places, not home pro, was when I was revamping the bathroom, went into one of the large places looking for wall & floor tiles, new toilet, basins, shower and all the plumbing and electrial cr*p.

picked the tiles first and gave them the number of boxes needed and asked them to go an check they have enough stock, this request was relayed by the long haired dictionary in Thai as well as well, so no problem with communication...they came back rather quick and said "have"..ok so off I went loading the trolley up with all the other bits and pieces I needed, picked the toilet and shower out, and told them to get the tiles etc and big stuff down to the check out, while I finshed filling my trolley up..

so about an hour later arrive at the check out and all the stuff I asked for was piled up ready for payment and I when I checked it looked like there were not enough boxes of tiles, so the the long hair dictionary queries this and the reply was..no have enough tiles, you pay wait two weeks for rest of tiles...suffice to say I wasnt a happy bunny, as we know two weeks can mean two months or never and it was the first I asked prior to buying everything else, in essence they were BS me.

I chose then not to get into debates with them, and said to Mrs, lets go and walked leaving everything at the check out, so the lack of customer service in this place cost them quite a large sale in the end, the Mrs was a little embarrassed, as guess in Thai thinking we suppose to eat sh*t and accept this.

In the end went to one of their competitors not too far away and got great service, they too didnt not have the all tiles I needed in stock, but they were up front with it, promised two weeks, at the end of week one called the Mrs saying everything on track for delivery, week 2 almost to the day they promised, truck turns up at my place with the short fall, all delivered for free and a few hours later a call from the sales girl, did you get all your tiles, is everything ok, nothing broken etc etc

so you can guess were I shop now for my DIY stuff..biggrin.png

So the other shop hadn't got the tiles either and made you wait 2 weeks as well? Looks like you didn't accomplish much other than falling out with the first shop and a wasted journey and time spent going to second shop...rolleyes.gif

  8. For years, I'd say 'nit nit noi noi'. Meaning a little but inferring that it is actually more than that. Sounding humble but in reality trying to impress.

Now a simple 'yes'. I have lost the need to impress anyone and lost the 'what do they think of me' character defect.

You sound like you are trying to appear humble but in reality actually trying to impress.

  9. Buy a map.

    thanks genius

Yes, I agree. I was going to reply and then I saw the rather pathetic comment you have quoted.

What a sorry individual that man is. I wonder if his other 17000 or so other posts were as worthless as this one.

Tomorrow (time allowing) I will get back to you. Your trip sounds fascinating and I wish you well.
