  1. Thanks, I'm on the SE visa now. According to the information provided by DrJack54, I will hopefully be able to make a 1-year extension based on monthly income after that.
  2. Sorry for my late response. I'm Swedish. I remember getting an income letter from my embassy (for a different purpose) a couple of years ago, but I'm not sure that's going to help now. Also, because the money is not from any kind of pension fund (and the amont varies), won't I basically incriminate myself as someone working without a work permit? I'd be interested to know if anyone has had problems getting multiple consecutive Single Entry visas, as this seems to be my only recourse for the time being.
  3. Sorry, I'm not very good at reading. My income, for the most part, is above 40k per month, but it varies. I wonder if that will pose a problem?
  4. My health insurance is about 35k Baht a year, quite a bit less than 400k.
  5. That little detail (which of course there is no mention of on the form. It only says ชื่อ / Name) made all the difference. Turns out my first attempt WAS successful.
  6. I am over 50. I don't know about the agent/ongoing extensions option. Where can I find more information about that? FYI, I don't have the 400k due to of a series of bad financial decisions, but I'm not destitute. My (wife's) mortgage is equivalent to $160 a month. If I can't afford to live here, I can't afford to live anywhere else either.
  7. Yeah, that's probably what I'll end up doing.
  8. This may be old news on the forum, but I just discovered that the consulate in Savannakhet now requires proof of 400k for multiple entry non-O visas. Does anyone know of any good alternatives for people who don't meet the 400k requirement?
  9. Thanks, Caldera. Fortunately for me, I never go to immigration nowadays.
  10. Thanks, QQ. So apparently it didn't work. We'll see if I can motivate myself to try again later after someone hopefully answers my question.
  11. Once again I have tried submitting the TM30 notification, and I have no idea if I did it correctly. It should be trivially easy for a halfway decent programmer to set up the webpage to display some sort of confirmation once the TM30 report is correctly submitted. Either way, does anyone know how they enforce the TM30 rule? If enforcement is handled by the same people that designs the TM30 user interface, I guess I have nothing to worry about anyway.
  12. Yes, I did. I'm going to e-mail them and see if they can provide support.
  13. Thanks, ThailandNinja, though it doesn't address my problem, which is it says "insufficient data" even though I've filled out everything I see.
  14. Is there some sort of TM30 tutorial in English online? I just tried to do the TM30 report online, but I have no idea if it worked or how to verify that I did it correctly. Any help would be appreciated.
  15. Thanks, I understand that, but if what I'm reading in this thread still applies, the line outside the Thai consulate will be too long by the time I get there. Maybe there will still be enough time to get my application in?
  16. I notice buses from Bangkok to Mukdahan are all night buses. Is there any way to get to the Thai consulate in Savannakhet in time to apply for a visa same day as I arrive in Mukdahan? I'm trying to work out a viable itinerary.
  17. Yeah, I don't have the 400k unfortunately. Thanks for the tips. Savannakhet is probably my best option if I don't need an appointment. I've been there years ago. Not the most exciting place to me, but for a couple days it'll be alright.
  18. Thanks, MJCM! Sounds like I'll have to go to Savannakhet, because I'm already on a 1-year extension.
  19. Hello, I don't have the 400k required for a year long extension based on marriage to a Thai, but I believe I've read somewhere that you can get extensions that involve border runs every 90 days. Can someone tell me if I have this correct and what's required for the extension? Thanks in advance, Nayet
