There is always a 'factory setting' and/or a master over-ride setting on safes. They are supposed to be changed on installation.

A shot in the dark but try 000000 or 123456. (Both 4 and six digit numbers)

Tried those but no luck 😞

Anyway, just called one locksmith and he will come and open it for me today.

There's key cutting guys big c, Pattaya Klang inside, Pattaya Tai outside car park, ask these guys.

Also key cutting shop 50 metres west side of TukCom.

I'm sure he can help you.

I reckon you should buy a combination safe. 😂

    Good luck

Thanks for the recommendation. I really need someone who I'm able to call and for them to come to the condo room.

My condo complex has a locksmith on call to deal with such events. The couple of times I have used them the charge was 300 Baht. That wouldn't get a locksmith out of bed in my home country.

Speak to whoever is on duty in your condo lobby.

I asked them but they said I need to find one myself 😞 That's why I'm asking here before I start Googling different locksmiths.

OP links one of his previous threads that this started for him in October last year.

Here's my October extension applied 10 Oct with expiry 27 Oct so 17 days before as I've always done last 6 years. This is why I think it's just him as he's been on back to back visa exempts for a year so may be treated differently?

    20240325_190345.jpg

Ok, that proves that you were successful in extending your tourist visa 17 days early. Seems you had better luck getting past those front desk girls than others. Maybe they though you were handsome for them and let you get through earlier than others or they were tired and didn't bother looking throughly through your passport stamp dates and just gave you a ticket. Because I always got the same story from the front desk girls and when I went to Desk 1 to question them about this in the main building, the man & lady IO doing the 30 day extensions said the exact same thing.

Alternatively, you went on 10th October and I went on 21st November and on 7th December, being one and a half months & also two months after you went. Maybe they started doing things differently and had new policies in place a month after you did your extension. That could be another possibility. You didn't mention about trying to do another early extension of stay after this October 2023 date, right?

Things change, they are not always the same. Back in 2019 I always went to Jomtien to extend my METV 4 weeks prior to stamp expiry. Had no problems all those times doing early extensions. Every time everything went smoothly. I extended 3 times in 2019 very early without problems.

Just as I find it hard to believe you were told to come back one day before. Maybe because my application was perfect and I didn't ask any questions like you seemed to always do as per your threads?

Do you think all the proof in the post below is all fake and made up, all done in Photoshop? lol

     Continuing on from this thread:

Went to Jomtien Immigration again to try and extend for 30 days. I initially went on the 21st November and was told to come back 3-4 days prior and today I was told by the queue desk come back one (1) business day prior to stamp expiry (my stamp expiry is on a Sunday). I handed the girl my paperwork & passport without staying anything, and all was good with the paperwork. She looked at the stamp and said come back one (1) business day prior. I told her that last time in November I was told to come back one week before expiry already, that's why I'm here and she said ask at Counter 1, the exact same story as I was told last time by the other queue number girl (there are only 2 of them). Went to Counter 1 and the lady looked at my paperwork and talked to the man, and same thing they said come back one (1) business day prior to expiry. This is insane. I've got the pics to prove it, not like everyone else here on the forum that's been posting rubbish that Jomtien has no problems with extending whenever they wish or saying they saw with their own eyes that people were getting queue numbers who were there prior than a couple of days before their expiry stamp. I will believe my own experiences, and so should everyone else. Nobody else has provided any proof, but I have below.

This person also had the exact same experience as me. "Come back one day prior to stamp expiry":

My applications are perfect each time I go there, as I've done many, many 30 day extensions over many years already. I don't say anything, just hand over the application form. They look over it. Look at my passport. Then the girls say come back one (1) day prior to stamp expiry date and they staple a ticket with the date on it, as was proven in the pics I added to one of my past threads. I have the proof, not just some heresay. When I post proof with pics of the dates in my passport of my stamp expiry, the stapled ticket to my application form they put there with the date one business date prior, what's so hard to believe? Do you think I Photoshoped something to try and prove that it's real? lol

I've never used an agent. Always done it myself and always at least 2 weeks in advance

And was it a SETV, METV or visa exempt entry that you were extending?

Again, I find it very, very hard to believe the girls at the information counter looked at your application & stamp date in your passport and didn't show you the door when trying to extend yourself nearly 3 weeks prior to stamp expiry.

Hi, this thread is now a few months old but I'm wondering if things have changed.

I'm used to getting extensions in Chiang Mai and normally go to Immigration two weeks before stamp expiry.

At Jomtien is it still the case that extensions on a 30 day exempt entry can only be done the day before expiry?

You can try your luck and report back, but the last time I tried again was in February and was shown the door again when I tried to extend 3-4 days early and told to come back one (1) business day prior yet again. I decided to try my luck as I planned to stay in the Jomtien area even if they were to show me the door, which they did yet again.

I've done 3-4 30 day extensions a year at Jomtien for the last 6 years and all were done with at least 2 weeks left on exit stamp. Maybe only the OP seems to have this problem as he's raised about 5 threads about it but no-one else has

Did you read all the posts in all those threads? If you did, there were others who commented they were shown the door too, if they came earlier than 1 business day to extend and posts about others that saw others in the queue turned away to come back later.

When exactly was the last time you went for a tourist visa / visa exempt extension at Jomtien? In the past prior to Covid there were no issues with extending a few weeks prior, but since at least near the end of last year until now they will show you the door and tell you to come back one (1) business day prior.

I've always found them ok, it was probably you

No, it wasn't me. It was the thugs they hire at the door. If you walk in and see how fugly their girls are and do a u-turn out the door, the thugs threaten you with violence. Btw it was the 2nd club where the thug was at. Not sure if they employ thugs at the 1st club, but I'd guess it's same same as they are owned by the same group.

Never once in my life have I walked into a venue and the guards at the front threatened me if I did a u-turn because the girls are not up to standards. Only at Windmill this has happened for the 1st time in my life. Never will ever step foot in that place ever again with thugs like that at the door.

Tonight, Saturday, I went to walking street and visited the two most popular clubs. The street itself was quiet. At 8:30 there were only a handful of customers in the first club I went to then at 9 I went to the other club which was mostly full but I could still get a front row seat. Apart from handful of farangs who sat alone both places were patronised almost exclusively by Chinese and Koreans. Both clubs had only one girl each that I would consider were worth going there for.

Why did you go into a nightclub at 8:30pm lol, are any even open for business? I guess you went to iBar/Insomnia, I think that's the only one open early and they have a cheap drink promo because nobody goes to clubs so early.

For naked you have to go to Windmill Soi Diamond. That's pretty much the only one like that now in WS, a few others died during covid. Windmill 9,000 baht long time, more a deterrent than anything else

Never will step into either of those two Agogos they own again. Security are thugs. One and only time I walked into their club the thug outside raised his hand to strike me be because I walked in and saw how ugly the girls were and walked right out. On exit he raised his hand up with an angry face to strike me, but I didn't flinch and just walked away. Thugs in that place. That dude still works at the front door. I will remember his face every time I pass that place.

The meeting focused on prioritizing safety during water recreation. This includes establishing more lifeguard stations, deploying lifeguards with safety equipment during peak hours from 9 AM to 2 PM.

There is only one position where the lifeguards sit, and that's just on the beach & in the shade in front of Soi 6. They never watch the water but all are glued to watching their smartphones. Doesn't seem like any "prioritizing safety during water recreation" is on offer.
