it's called  inflation , Brexit did not help , Then Covid  , ,I don't think anyone thought  things

would turn out like this , I am still on 90 quid a week ,good job I don't need it as provided

for myself before retiring at 42 , But I can feel for those relying here on pension only, no

way will we get any relief from the British Government ,too busy looking after immigrants.

    regards Worgeordie

I agree, the British government, no matter which party, has never overly concerned themselves much with the people they are supposed to represent, any progress made since the industrial revolution has been due to some very brave men and women who fought for basic rights under the threat of imprisonment or worse. British pensions are not a right, they are classed as a benefit. Luckily I spent most of my working life in Germany and get a good (tax free) state pension and company pension with increases paid every year no matter where I live in the world after retiring at the age of 58. I do get a British pension of 37 pounds a week. I haven't been to the UK for 54 years, they can keep their 'island home'.

Source?  It's hearsay without a source that explains the big picture.

Then wake me up when the Biden's, Obama's (including all the properties on Martha's Vineyard), and the Gore's properties are condemned as uninsurable - or - when the sell them and find they can't obtain title insurance.  Ain't gonna happen.

Sorry it's California but Florida home insurance is doubling and tripling.

"none of those beach front properties on the oceans could be insured"... some coastal property regions are becoming uninsurable in New Zealand.. but then in your world, maybe Thailand won't be affected by rising sea levels.. but if you ever did any research on these sorts of subjects, then you would know that sea level rise is a very slow but progressive fact... - it is the storms surges that are causing the most damage... not just going out and finding the sea level has gone up a few mm....

In Florida many house insurances are not being renewed, a big problem if you have mortgage, no insurance, no mortgage.

do you think he is fighting Ukraine alone? you know the war could have ended 2 years ago right, saved a whole tonne of lives, but no, uk & US kept it going!

Ah, keep the humming wheels of industry rolling. Nato probably inadvertently caused the war, 'keep poking the bear and see what happens' but I doubt they could have stopped it, wars are easy to start but not so easy to stop.

Please also keep in mind this META analysis of available data concerning heart attacks around the time you mention, 3AM....

I don't do anything like that, it would upset the dogs and I've always regarded the movements as a little ridiculous, especially if the wife starts moving as well.

Well, of course this depends upon various factors, including insulation, size of room, efficiency of the AC unit, and other factors.

I use ACs that have an EER of 23, or above,  (measured in BTU units not Kcal).  Anyway, these are among the most efficient that are available to the consumer in Thailand in this market.  I use Panasonic inverters. And, I use the most expensive models of the Panasonic inverters.  BUT, as everybody here know, I am NOT satisfied with the quality, compared to the Panasonic ACs I bought in Taiwan/Japan.  I do not know what is causing this. Maybe different quality for different markets, etc....

Also, you need to be careful when thinking that it is best to turn the AC off when you leave the room for a short period of time...

    Why?

Because, there is data that shows that it is more efficient to allow the AC to remain on, and maintain a constant temperature, rather than to turn it off for a few hours, and then try to use the AC to re-cool the room, starting at a very high room air temp.

You can google this point, too.

NOTE:  It sounds to me as if you may be using a non-inverter type AC, or one which might have a problem with the thermostat, or some other problem.

The Panasonic inverters that I have can maintain PLUS/MINUS 1 degree C temperature range when set to 22 degrees.  But then you need to select AUTO fan.  (I once had a defective Panasonic machine that was totally unable to maintain the selected air temp in the room.  I finally was able to get the company to allow a return to the factory in Malaysia. or....I really do not know what they did with that defective machine.)

I think I feel colder at 3 am because that is when the body is at its weakest, many natural deaths and heart attacks occur around this time.

Under 21 degrees C is far better, and you will sleep better, too.

Optimal sleeping temp for humans is under 20 degrees C....

According to research you can google yourselves.

I read that every one degree below 25C increases the electricity use by 10%. 24C is OK, in fact I wake up at 3 in the morning because I feel too cold and turn the air con off.
