  1. Thanks for your help guys. I am not in phuket at the moment otherwise I would have driven around and found it. I can now contact the sales/rental office and see what's available before I arrive. If anyone know of any other good condo buildings near to Nai Harn please let me know.
  2. Does anyone know the name of this Condo building. It's in Rawai or Nai Harn. It's currently being advertised on Airbnb for 32,000 bhat a month. I want to try and get a 1 year contract from the owners/ building manager on a different apartment in same building so I dont have to pay the rip off airbnb prices. Any help appreciated.
  3. I am from the UK and currently have 3 small companies in the UK. I will be selling one of them and will continue to own the other 2 while I am living in Thailand on a retirement visa. I will continue paying tax to the UK government. Will I have any problems with the Thai Government regarding overseas earnings.
  4. In a previous post, it was mentioned that paying for Insurance helps you get a bank account. Anyone know how much the Insurance costs?
  5. With the exchange rate being really bad at the moment I don't want to exchange £19,000 into Thai Bhat so I have the 800,000 for the retirement visa. I understand if I get a visa agent they can get me the visa without me needing the 800K. If I fly in on 30 day visa exempt, will this be enough time for the agent to get the retirement visa for me. I would be meeting the visa agent on the 2nd day after arriving, wont be leaving until the 3rd week.
  6. Is the health insurance just a standard policy or do they require you to have cover for X amount.
  7. If I want to apply for my first retirement visa. Would it be easier to get a tourist visa and apply in Thailand or apply in the UK at the Thai Embassy in London. (I am a UK citizen)
  8. Thanks for the info. So once I got the 1 year extension to the retirement visa, could I apply for the multiple re-entry visa and would the multiple entry visa be also valid for 1 year?
  9. Thanks for the info. So would it be a case of applying for the one year extension every time just before I go travelling for the 4 months.
  10. If I was spending 8 months a year in Thailand and the rest of the time travelling in other countries would I be able to apply for a retirement visa and keep it valid while I am doing the 4 months travelling.
  11. Jaiyenyen thanks for the great information.
  12. Thanks for the replies. Zeer Rangsit looks exactly what I am looking for. I watched a youtube video and there is a serious amount of 2nd hand PC equipment there. Is there any where near Zeer Rangsit that I could pick up a 2nd hand office desk and chair.
  13. I will be only staying in Thailand for 3 months and will need a PC and 2 monitors during my stay. Dont really want to buy new PC equipment for such a short period time. Ideally would like to be able to buy a Dell Workstation, doesnt need to be that powerful. Can anyone recommend a reliable company in Bangkok that sells second hand equipment. Any help really appreciated.
