I wish they would treat all Thai citizen in my home country the same way they treat "farrangs" in their so called LOS!
No more free language courses, wellfare, child support, free TV, telephone rent etc.

Teachers and principles caught for corruption should be suspended to inactive posts. Oh I forgot- they got them already.

Looks like the BIB's are running out of smart phones as these are confiscated in drug cases already as tools of the trade. Would be interesting how a cop who cheated in entry exams due to lack of brain will judge which items that could be useful to commit a crime...

The minister criticized some academics... Does it bother the moon if the dogs are barking on him?

There are 7 family members selling the daily items in a shop nearby where I live. One graduate of a high school and one studied IT at an university. They work in the shop for 4 years now. None of them is capable to tell you the price of a pack of cigarettes (66 baht) and a can of Leo beer (35 baht) without a calculator. I have never seen any of them reading a newspaper. When it comes to "science" - they turn off the fridges over night to save electricity...
Would that qualify them to announce another hub?

At least its an upgrade in today's "hub of" score...

A really weird Nation. “Influential people” are above the law, court rulings are only accepted if they pleases the ones in power, corruption is an accepted part of the culture, a fugitive criminal runs the country via remote control, elections are considered free and legally as long as the most generous vote buyer wins and a guy with an arrest warrant on his head is visiting the (puppet) PM to give her a 2 day ultimatum.
As long as the by standing masses look at this mess and say: this is my country and I am proud of it. Nobody should wonder. Sad to see that a majority of ignorant non-participants let this happen as nobody seems to look over the rim of his/her rice bowl.

"Mr Wichakorn was riding his bike in the wrong direction"
"Police are still attempting to verify the cause of the accident"
By now they can run an entire newspaper only filled with nonsense halfway through researched and written by dilettantish "Editors." Got an idea for a name for such a lampoon?

Thats a shame , this poor boy has nothing to do with his mum political career , very bad to treat him that way.
As much as I condemn what allegedly happened to the boy in school, your statement: "this poor boy has nothing to do with his mum political career" is incorrect. Looks like his mother dragged him in to be part of her political career. Why else is this kid hopping around in a white uniform with a mounted medal group on his chest?

Simple never trust a middle aged man with a pirate style gold earring.
First impressions count and its been out of fashion since early 90's that the third charge by the style police.
Where did you get your knowledge about gold earrings for men from,- the pirate movies? It was common practice for all men at sea (not restricted to pirates) to wear one golden earring for hundreds of years. The reason for this was simple: if their dead body was washed to the shore the gold was meant to cover the costs of a christian funeral and some extra for the finder. However, maybe he will need it to cover some costs for special treatment when his body is washed to the shores of the “Bangkok Hilton.”

Suthep should be in police custody already! How can a law breaker judge a government?
How can a convicted criminal run a country?
This is the wish of the majority of the Thai people, because this government has been elected free and regular.
I’m not sure about this. If you get the votes of the majority, why would you need coalitions to get in power? And is vote buying really a legal part of a free and regular election…? But then again, if people accept corruption as part of their culture, you maybe right.

Those problems include, among others, the lack of maturity of public transport drivers, driving licenses of foreigners, and vehicle rentals which were causes of several accidents happened to tourists
Smart guy, or stupid? He mentioned (only) 3 Problems of which 2 can always be construed to be in the responsibility of the tourist.

What is it with Pheu Thai politicians and their obsession with beheading?
I notice he didn't mention any of the other naughty things he's been accused of......
If a piano player is losing a hand he has a big problem to continue his career because he was using it. If a PTP politician is losing his head...

She should send the guy with the ear problems to hold the dialog on her behalf. He may be the last man standing when the whistles play "Jericho."

Yingluck simply replied that she did not want to talk about a case that has already been closed by the court's ruling.
Typical female answer. Same one I got from my ex when I asked her why our credit cards were maxed out.......I don't want to talk about it.
Sounds like there's one court ruling she accepts for a change.

Stability of Thailand? I did not know such thing exists. Maybe I'm stupid too.

"There is only one Thai Cabinet and it's led by me."
And most of her cabinet members fly in and out of Dubai because suddenly they're fascinated by the desert climate, burkha wearing women, prohibition of ear medicine and varied landscape... That makes sense.

"We are going to see ongoing tension," said analyst Thitinan Pongsudhirak, of Bangkok's Chulalongkorn University
Is the guy an analyst, or a crystalballist? I hope nobody paid him for this flash of genius.

In which country do they need a Department of “Special Investigation” over a subject like people blowing whistles? Hope a simple question is not misunderstood as Thai bashing again…

"The raid to arrest Mr Saloom at the Orient Restaurant on Rat-U-Thit 200 Pi Rd was initiated by the new Kathu District Chief, Sayan Chanachaiyawong, backed by Kathu Police and local security volunteers."
Were was the SWAT and the S.E.A.L teams I want to know, good thing he was apprehended now,
no telling
what else he would have smuggled into this law abiding, smugglers free country..5Kg Jasmin rice from our friendly neighbor Cambodia?

No deadly weapon involved? That makes less than the usual 500 baht fine for Thais.
