Hello.
I wonder if someone could help with some useful suggestions to my problem.
I have a Non O multi entry visa which will expire on the 19th of August. My intention is to apply for an extension to stay based on marriage. I had this last time, but it expired while I was abroard so I came back on the multi entry visa..
My problem is that the 400,000 required in the bank was transfered from abroard late and was only placed into my Thai bank account on the 21st July. That was totaly my fault.
My questions are.
1. I live in Chiang Rai, could I go to Mae sai, exit Thailand and return without a visa for 30 days?. Could I do this twice while my money seasons. This would then allow 21 days to complete a new extension to stay. Is that enough time.
2. I could travel to Penang and get a 90 day single entry visa based on marriage. then convert this in Thailand after 2 months. Dose the money have to be seasoned for 2 months for this option ?.
Dose anyone have any recent experience at Penang. I did read some time ago they only take the first 100 applications a day. Or do you have to book an appointment first now.
Thanks for any constructive advice.

Just thought I would share my experience at Mae Sai this morning.
I arrived at 0830 and was told to wait for immigration to open at 9am. Once they came they told myself and some other foreign passport holders that we could not cross here. "The computers on the Myanmar side are not working. I asked when they would be and was told not for some time. I drove along to the Golden triangle and took a boat across the Mekong and renewed my visa there. This experience was very pleasant and quiet.

Hello.
According to a Bangkok Post article today. Mae Sai boarder crossing is now open. The article quotes an official saying Thai people need a permit and foreigners need to show there passport. Also proof of vaccine required.
I will go there this Wednesday to have a look and share my findings. If anyone goes sooner maybe they will do the same.

Whe n I flew in last year I handed the immigration officer my passport and e visa receipt and he put the stamp in my passport so your story doesn't add up?
I am asking a question about crossing at a land boarder. I flew in without any problems as well.

The Royal Thai embassy in London only issues e visas. This has been the case for some time. When you receive your e visa you are asked to print a copy to give to a immigration officer.

Hello.
I wonder if someone can help me with this question.
I entered Thailand by Air last year on a Non O multi entry issued in the UK. Normally I would go to Mae Sai for exit and re entry but it has been closed. So I have been going to Chiang Khong. The first time was no problem. The second time when exiting the immigration officer said 2 land crossings this is your last one. I wanted to show home the Non O visa print out, as it is no longer in your passport. But I was just waved on.
So this is my question. Is there a limit to land boarder runs for a Non O multi entry?. I have to go again next week and will go erlier so if I need to fly out I still have time. But at the moment I would like some clarification if anyone can help it would be appreciated.
Thanks

Hello.
Could someone advise please.
I am planing a trip to Chiang Khong. I have a Non O Multi visa and am coming up to 90 days in Thailand.
Is it a requirement to stay one night in Lao or can I simply turn round and come back into Thailand.
Any information appreciated thanks.

Good morning.
I have been taking Accupril 5mg twice a day for a few years. This is for heart failure and my condition has not altered in the past 7 years. I order online from a Bangkok pharmacy. When I went to re order I was told this medicine had been withdrawn. And that is correct it has been withdrawn by Pfizer because of a manufacturing problem. No information is available to say if it will be for sale again.
My question is can anyone help with other options which I could use. I have used ramipril before in the UK but found it quite expensive here. I get a full test done once a year and my kidney function is fine at the moment. I am trying to find any other brand names I could use and buy online as I live in Chiang rai. Any help would be appreciated .
Thanks.

Good morning.
I like this plant and bought it a few years ago. Now it has grown taller it looks tired. It is in a 15 inch pot in an area that gets the afternoon sun. I have given it some 20-20-20 fertilizer pellets. But it remains the same. I wonder if I should cut it back but I don't want to kill it. Any help would be appreciated.
Thank you.

Hello.
Can anyone help me with two questions. I have owned a vehicle since new here in Thailand for five Years. I would like to transfer ownership of the vehicle to my Thai wife. I under that I'd I gift the car to her then there is no duty/tax to pay at the DLT station where the paperwork is completed. We live at the same address so really it's just changing the name on the log book. Can anyone confirm this and a source where it's written so if I need to show someone I can.
Second question is Can I still carry on paying for first class insurance on the vehicle and drive it even though its not in my name anymore.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thank you.

Hello.
I looking for some advice as to what to do to improve my water storage. One photo shows my two concete water tanks. I have a bore hole and the water is pumped up into the tank on the right. This has no lid and all sorts of nasty thing growing in there. The water then gravity feeds to the second tank with the tap on the front and then to the pump which feeds the house. The man who used to clean it every year is now not contactable. At first the water was a red colour and he would put some sticky rice in the first tank which would cure the problem. Now the people next door have this blue cylinder which i believe they fill with a charcoal product. This works well for them and there water is no longer red. I found a shop selling these and when I showed them a picture of my tank they said it will not work with a concrete tank but I could not fully understand why. I only use this water for showers ect not for drinking. Can anyone explain to me why this would not work with a concrete tank and if there is anything else I could do instead. I will put a particle filter in on the supply from the bore hole. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks

Hello.
I would like to know if I can use some of the 400k in the bank after my extension for stay based on marriage has been issued. Are there any conditions stating the money must be left in the bank for a certain time.
Thank you.

They were giving multiple entry when I was there mid February.

I did my first extension of stay based on marriage there two weeks ago. I cod not believe how quick it was. There was a printed document by the doors telling you in Thai and English exactly what was required. I followed that exactly and on the day there were no problems. It is very quiet there at the moment.

Hello.
I am getting started on filling out a visa application form for Penang Thai Consulate. It asks for the name and address of a guarantor in Thailand which is fine. Then it asks for the name and address of a local guarantor. I don't know anyone in Penang. Dose anyone have any advice who has come across this.
I am applying for a single entry non O based on marriage.
Thanks.

Hello.
I would like to get a single entry Non O visa (married to a Thai national) from Penang. Could anyone tell me if the 400,000 THB has to be seasoned first?.
I have only recently transferred this money to a Thai account with the intention of seeking permission to stay once seasoned. However I will require a visa for that period. I have been reading a thread from July 2019 and would like to ask if anything has changed since then in applying for this visa.
Thank you.

Hi.
Can anyone recommend to me the best place to go to renew my Non O multiple entry visa based on marriage without any financial proof. I live in Chiang Rai.
For the last few years I have always renewed in London but I understand they don't issue a multi entry anymore. I have the money in a bank account in the UK but have been waiting for the pound to climb or the Bhat to fall before I transfer it to Thailand.
Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks.

Do you like condensed milk?

Make your own condensed milk. Its very easy to do and you can control how much sugar you want in it. It also works much better in bakery products
