  1. Why won't this man step back as he promised with dignity and get the thanks for his part in the history of Thailand.
  2. vandeventer, I support my wife up country and I think things will get worse for thai people if jobs start to wobble as they tighten their belts. Most thais in the villages are on a slim budget buying their small requirements each day.
  3. Its quite clear that this man resorts to violence as retribution and not getting what he wants and we know what he wanted that night. Throw away the key. RIP that poor lady.
  4. Just got back to my home in UK after seven months in Thailand with my wife. Flat Battery, flat tyre and rear wheels siezed. ( chock the wheels) Handbrake off. Thats how important it is to keep your options open.
  5. Thankfully for them, Monkeypox is on the way and they can lock down again for that.
  6. Once again, we see the "Blame the farang" and "Farang pay" mentality on the slightest justification.
  7. Agreed, maybe a 'what not to do' list would be more interesting.
  8. Up here in NE of Isaan the kids all go to school on motorbikes and never wear a helmet. Too young to get a licence. My partners two daughters among them. Of course the Police just let it go.
  9. He was a regular sleeper on the beach seating before it was all refurbished.
  10. Some years ago I was sitting opposite Soi 8/9 near Police St'n. When a bouncer walked over to the beach and proceeded to give a sleeping farang a kicking. It was totally unprovoked.
  11. I wonder, where does he go if he is defrocked. I would imajine he would descend into more drinking. Yes, its a destructive mental affliction.
  12. As the sun goes down in the village the dogs gather in packs running through the village here in Isaan. They fight and chase motorbikes etc. I have never seen someone walking a dog on a leash.
  13. I've walked through to Bali hi a couple of time recently. As you say its a mess. Areas of the paved rd just patched with concrete. If they actually repaved the whole street it would only be dug up the week after.
  14. In the case of UK retirees thats really is a fixed income statevpension. It will not go up when they know you live in Thailand.
  15. Lets give a shout out for that female Minister of Tourism who who wishes to throw cold water on tourism and thwart the ambitions of many thai ladies who wish to escape the rice field and meet a farang. Once more thankyou, Kobkarn Wattanavarankul.
  16. The thai mentality never ceases to amaze me as I leave the peace and tranquility of a Temple complex here in Pattaya to try to cross the road on a zebra crossing where the red light means nothing to drivers or motorbike riders all wearing masks but no crash helmets.
  17. When will the world get back on track ? We are led by politicians everywhere who revel in the fear and control they have over us. The UK is sliding into into lockdown for no legitimate reasons.
  18. Fortunately, I'm getting s booster jab now before flying back next week. It really is the thin end of the wedge and says everything about what they think of us.
  19. Check on what Kobkarn Wattanvrangkul has said about Pattaya. She is a Sports and tourism minister.
  20. As allways with all these requirements the thai government would'nt spit on you if you were on fire.
  21. You need to go back and look at what Kobkarn Wattanavarangkul the Sports and tourism minister has said. She has wanted to do away with the party scene in Pattaya. A puritanical zealot.
