  1. Hello does anyone know where I can watch the fireworks live from Bangkok online? Is there a stream somewhere that doesn't require a subscription? Thanks in advance
  2. Hello everyone. Due to terrible floods in Bangkok tonight the water level kept rising on my way home and with no way to escape from it unfortunately. After a while in deep water the indicators and the horn stopped working as well as the lights that show what gear you're in. Despite revving a lot the engine cut out and I had no choice but to restart it. I managed to get home but unfortunately the electrics still seem to be out and I just tried starting it only for it to make a strange sound. I'll take it to a shop tomorrow but does anybody know how much this may cost or what the problem is exactly? Thanks
  3. So, two of the three screws that hold the basket on my Wave have rusted apart and the basket is also pretty rusty. Is it possible to get this repaired or will I have to buy a new basket entirely? Also any ideas of the cost? In the meantime I've used a bungee cord to tie around the bike and hooked it to the basket to stop it from falling off. Is this dangerous? Thanks in advance for any replies.
  4. On this topic, has anybody bought AXA insurance before leaving Thailand to use it on their trip back? As long as their policy starts on our first day back this shouldn't be a problem right?
  5. Any update on this insurance issue from people who bought 30 days insurance and returned recently with a Re Entry Permit?
  6. I think you have misunderstood my post. I mean will insurance be accepted if it doesn't last the entire length of our visa?
  7. I am yet to see a definitive answer on how long insurance is needed for expats on long term visas. Will 30 days be accepted or does it need to last until the expiration of the visa extension? Does anybody have any experience with this? I spoke to someone who said that if you get insurance which ends before your extension of stay then they will only stamp you in for as long as the duration of the insurance. Which would mean having to apply for an extension of stay again within 30 days of arrival.
  8. Currently in the process of applying for a UK visit visa to travel over Christmas and New Year. Was a little late to apply because we were waiting for second vaccine dose first. I was wondering if it is worth buying any of the "extras" from VFS such as their own translation services or courier services? Ot is it better to organize this oursevles? Thanks in advance for any replies.
