  1. Just discovered all the machines using Avira anti-virus protection and that is the reason the above outcome appearing.  So I disable this protection and it works alright. Sorry for dragging you into this matter.

I just looked at my local immigration office website.

Just wondering why an immigration website would all be in Thai? Surely most immigrants don't read Thai as their first language

So are you saying this website is working perfectly?

I tried to browse www.phuketimmigration.go.th using 4 different machines. The output is still the same as above.

Please note I was present at Phuket Immigration and I did show this problem to them. The volunteer checks his mobile and there is no problems! When I got home, I got no lucks. That is really baffling me.

Can anyone guess the solid explanation? Thanks.

I made an order recently, yes it was China in no real rush, then AFTER the purchase delivery changed to 10-14 days, after 14 days nothing, no tracking as not Lazada, exchanged msg on "chat" they blamed Covid, after 20 days item finally arrives, ITS THE WRONG ITEM ! .Very frustrating.

Me too. After that, I always check with the seller via chat first to ensure there is no misunderstanding before making the order. Up to now, I have no issues with Lazada.

  5. Hi, just out of curious, do you know any good online Thai-English crosswords? Who will be interested to try them? Should these be used for education, media or pleasure? What benefits will be for whom?  Once gathering resource from you, I might like to develop something for fun. For instance, creating one online crossword (Thai - English) can be done within one day !

    1. What is the idea about that Make App?

    2. Unreasonable? You must be joking. Do you really think all foreigners will be treated in Thailand like Thais?

    3. And if you think foreigners should be treated like Thais then have a look a your home country, wherever that might be. Are all foreigners treated like the locals? No!

1, Nothing special about it - just organising the budget groups.

    2. The term Unreasonable is normal for expats but not for Thai.

    3. It would be nice if foreigners being treated like Thai. Or vice versa ????

You can let the ASUS router do that, but then you would have to ask your provider (3BB) to put your 3BB router in so called "Bridge Mode". (and also have them to give you the login username and pwd)

If you don't know what you are doing, then IMHO leave it as!

Yes, I already have username & password from 3BB ISP but you are right the bridge mode is over my head. It sounds the bridge mode prevents the conflicting between two routers. Therefore I should try that asap - I need more time to get acquainted with AC86U first. Your links are appreciated with thanks.

  10. Good afternoon..,in the shortest conclusion, I just bought the Asus RT AC86U router - I am very impressed with ASUSWRT (GUI). The setup to both connect Internet and external harddrive successfully took me about one or two hours & I find quite easy to absorb its ASUSWRT environment. Of course it will take more time gradually to make it more consolidating.

I currently have 3BB cable so I connect my AC86U to 3BB router (modem). For time being, I use "automatic IP" option via AC86U to execute internet successfully & 3BB router using PPPoE.

If I change from "automatic IP" to PPPoE via AC86U, then Internet is disconnected. (I thought PPPoE is more popular, isn't it?)

I have no idea which one is more good practice to use. Will it be safe to use automatic IP option?

    Appreciate any suggestions.

P.S. is it possible to convert the media server to file-sharing (ie. including documents/spreadsheets)? If so, I can't seem to find the correct option. Any ideas?

That has been ASUS's most popular and widely used wifi router in recent years, although it's lately been surpassed by the newer AX line, which has wifi AX instead of wifi AC.

I've used the 86U at home now for several years, and it's been fast and rock-solid. The nice part, among others, is it as a built-in VPN client that allows you to run many commercial VPN services off the router using any of the three following VPN protocols -- PPTP, L2TP or Open VPN.

Unfortunately, their current firmware version doesn't support Wireguard. But I've heard ASUS is working on a firmware update due later this year that is supposed to add Wireguard capability to their router.

Of course, I am not surprised you raised this comment as the technical updates always never stop from time to time. However I appreciate your comment. I found one useful url called https://drivers.softpedia.com/downloadTag/ASUS RT-AC86U Firmware

The change description does not mention about neither AX or AC wifi or WireGuard (or I may have misread earlier). If I am correct, these are more relevant to WAN rather than LAN. LAN will be good enough for file-sharing (any miscellaneous files) for all devices under one router. I hope FTP setting will allow the file explorer to work.
