  1. Just because he doesn't agree with it doesn't make him a homophobe/bigot. I disagree with him, but he has a right to his opinion.
  2. It's definitely catchy. I like it. Out of interest Proton, do you see much violence at the concerts you go to? My Facebook reels seem to show lots of fighting at events like this. Are fights few and far between or quite common from your experience?
  3. I think this song is going to be quite popular for Songkran. Released today. My Thai friends like it a lot, and the pretty lady in the video.
  4. I don't understand why posters like you have to go to such extremes and wish such hardship on others. By your words, their actions were foolish, that means lacking good sense or judgement. I thought maximum everything would be for intent, not making a bad call.
  5. I'd rather the people deciding their fate have access to all of the CCTV and then decide what happens to them. If they were to charge them, I'd rather see a large fine and send them back to New Zealand. No one was injured and the prisons are already full. What benefit is there of sending them to a Thai jail apart from causing mental and potentially physical suffering to two people who caused pretty much zero damage. Prisons in my opinion should be used to keep dangerous people away from the public, not for revenge.
  6. CM just stank of weed and I saw more tourists there than locals (I know I didn't, but that's how it felt). I've been to CM quite a few times over the last decade and agree with Ben Zioner on the changes. I feel like I get to experience more Thai culture in Kalasin and the people have always been very friendly to me there.
  7. Each to their own I guess. I live here, but I have no intention to go back to Phuket. My most recent trips to Chiang Mai was also disappointing and Mahasarakham quite dreary. I would recommend other areas though like Sam Roi Yot, Bang Saphan, Nan, Kanchanaburi, and Kalasin, to name a few if tourists want something nice and a bit more peaceful.
  8. "He is trying to kill us" one of the guys said in the video to the Thai couple. You can see that they were not being aggressive or looking crazy in the video. They had zero interest in using the gun themselves. Hopefully we will see all the CCTV evidence to show what actually happened. Either way, I bet they will never return to Thailand again.
  9. Any advice on what to do if meeting one of these bears while walking in a national park here?
  10. I don't know much about this kid but he has a great voice and I've liked all of his songs so far.
  11. I've been on a few local flights recently, but I think I'll go back to driving. It would have been cheaper for me on each occasion to just drive and considering the time it takes to get to the airports, leaving room for delays etc then getting to where I want to at the other side is only an extra hour or two. Apparently it's also better for the environment.
  12. Could you please highlight who has actually defended Swiss #2 or are you trying to create an invisible enemy? Never mind, you got the likes that you wanted.
  13. I think there's a chance purely due to the influence of red bull (Thai owned) on the sport. Money talks. I'd have liked to see the Bangkok street circuit happen, but they would never allow this event near their royal or ancient buildings /monuments. If it were to be anywhere else I don't see it having the appeal to get it on the calendar.
  14. So who is paying for this new airport that only the super rich will ever use? And do the super rich really holiday in Hua Hin? Maybe they all come flocking to see Rajabhakti Park.
  15. I'm saying that you shouldn't be encouraging violence. Does that not tell you that I wish for peace? I agree with the police's initial decision. Just both say sorry and move on as no harm was done, yet many are out for blood/want a pound of flesh. I agree that we'll no doubt have to agree to disagree, and as adults I'm sure we can do that. I don't have any block list as I think it's important to see all views, not just ones that say what I want to hear.
  16. Just forget I said anything. Self reflection seems impossible for you.
  17. Have you spoke to them? Do you know how long they will be there for? Sometimes we let it slide, other times we call the police. Other times we may use it as an opportunity to go away for a few nights. I don't have any experience of never ending noise though, but the police, head of the village or landlord would probably need to be informed if the Germans are causing such inconvenience.
  18. Once again, at what point am I sticking up for him? I am calling you out as you posted a big picture of him telling people to run him over. Is that not also schoolboy behaviour? And to repeat myself one more time, I am not him, live anywhere near Phuket or even hang out with westerners for that matter.
  19. What was I wrong about exactly? I don't understand how people don't realize that I am not defending him. He can be wrong and the lady can make a bigger scene about the issue than it is. They are not mutually exclusive. What I am getting at, which unfortunately seems to be taking over this thread, is that people are ridiculously judgmental on here. You are judge jury and executioner before hearing all of the facts. It's not going to make me any friends, but sometimes hearing the truth hurts. Sure the guy was wrong, he acted like a complete idiot, but the woman has made this what to me is a nothing event, and my opinion wont change on that, in to something national. That was my thought at the start of the thread and remains the case now after seeing the video. A storm in a teacup.
  20. Okay. I'll bite. Have you ever acted in a way that you are not proud of? Was that your true character or did you make an excuse for your actions (had a tough time recently, financial worries, relationship worries etc)? Do you deserve to have people promoting causing seriously bodily injury or even death to you because of that moment? I'm not perfect and I don't expect anyone else to be, but some posters on here must never have put a foot wrong in their lives based on their over the top reactions to something as trivial as this. I'd expect this man regrets his actions and knows he should have approached it differently now. If he doesn't then that says a lot about him.
  21. Check through all of my previous messages on different threads and point out where I have said anything to the like. I don't join baying mobs like others. Its quite ironic that I get called a hypocrite when posters are spewing vitriol at the man who caused no actual harm by wishing harm on him (being beaten up by the doctors boyfriend, please run him over etc).
  22. My response is that the woman is on a mission to make the man pay for her losing face. It was still effectively a nothing incident. She was not injured in the slightest.
  23. After watching his video I believe his reaction was over the top which I don't condone, but I still fail to see where this physical assault is.
  24. I never said it was not his fault. I meant we needed to hear more than one side of the story before making judgements. I hate the 'guilty until proven innocent mob'. Whether it's a westerner, Thai, man, woman or even people I don't like, it doesn't matter.
  25. I think you need to get back on your medication if you think that's the case and also take your rose tinted glasses off. Do you seriously believe everything a person says without any evidence at all? If so, you are a dangerous person, not me.
