Actually is was Robert Wagner Who Wrote it on the GFM page, but I see it now has been corrected down to 20 kg.

No I did not believe in the 70 kg loss. But I just stated he  Wrote it.

I was just diagnosed with throat cancer here in the Philippines and will be going back to Canada for treatments in early September but I weighed in at my local Hospital on March 29th. at 125Kgs and reweighed in on July 8th. at 104Kgs. a loss of 21Kgs and am still losing as my belt holes keep moving. I don't find it hard to believe his loss now that I am living a similar fate.

Get an agent to do it. 12,500 all done. They even do the 90 day reporting for you. Too easy.

After 30+ years in Thailand I moved to the Philippines because of my Filippina wife's need to be around her family. I have given it a try here for almost three years and even have progressed to the "Probationary Resident" status including ID Card but I am an old man and need to be around my new Grandson and new one on his way in Krabi so after some chemo and radiology treatments in Canada for my newly found cancer I will return to Thailand with my wife. I am not sure if I should go back to the Tourist Visa bullshit or just go through an agency and go that way for a "retirement visa"? I am therefore very interested in everyone's input into the "new" immigration laws. I have a good pension of around 80,000 so I am looking for advice in regards to just showing them proof of my monthly pension income.

After living for 30+ years in Thailand and obeying all the Visa rules my Filipino wife convinced me to move to her home town where we already had a nice very large house where only her Mom and Dad stayed to keep the place clean. After two years of dealing with the Philippine Immigration I now have my Probationary Resident card which I have to keep for a year and then I can apply for Permanent Residence. I now also have PhilHealth for a minimal yearly payment of $730.00 Canadian Funds. My point is that in all my dealings with Immigration has the question of how much income I have every month in pensions. Actually they have never asked me about money, ever. The fact of the matter I do have over what the Thais ask for.

  4. I am currently waiting for my NBI (National Bureau of Investigation) clearance here in the Philippines which allows me to apply for an ACR-I Card (Alien Certificate of Registration Identity Card). This is required for, All foreign nationals under immigrant and non-immigrant visas including holders of Temporary Visitor’s Visa, who have stayed for more than fifty nine (59) days in the Philippines. Maybe this helps keep undesirables from overstaying in their country? In my 30+ years in Thailand I was never asked for such clearance and I got visas in Penang too.

It was not medication but some foodstuff my brother sent .they had it in customs and wanted me to go to just outside Bkk to collect .kept saying i had to pay import duty.far more than the stuff was worth .in the end i just told them to keep it .not worth the hassle. To be blunt they were a pain in the ass

Wow, I thought all that bullshit ended long time ago. Thirty years ago I had some stuff sent in from Canada and it took all day and about fifty signatures while running all around a Customs building, I had to pay a little runner to take me around because it was designed so that nobody could find his way around. The final bill was excessive but because along with a pair of size 13 sandals (not available anywhere) I got my buddy who owned the Hog's Breath in Nana Plaza, Bob McIndoe some Kraft Macaroni and Cheese which he had not had in very many years. What you do for friends. As he was an old Bangkokian he just laughed at me.

The garbage problem is one of the biggest reasons I am considering leaving. Along with all of the general environmental degradation and pollution. It is truly a shame because it is something that can be prevented very easily. I can't even imagine if the crazy tourism minister gets even half way to the goal of 100 million visitors.

The general gives all kinds of orders why does he not say anything about this? Is he just Thai and doesn't notice the problem either? It is just absolutely unbelievable that this will become a national crisis before anybody even begins to think about the consequences.

To those that say if I don't like it leave, don't worry I am working on it.

I'm done....Bislig City, Mindanao. Near beautiful Davao City.

  7. I used to live in Trang and the place is a hospital compared to Pattaya where I lived for so many years that I finally ran out of tolerance for filth and soi dogs that I have moved to the Philippines and although there is poverty of course the people clean the streets in front of their houses and don't wait for government to do it. One more thing about Trang....no electric, telephone wires etc. around the railroad center of town, all underground and huge garbage containers made out of truck tires line all streets and are used.

  8. This is the day of the internet. This information needs to be sent to travel agents all over the world. If nobody rents these jet skis the will either disapear or will be controlled properly. I have lived in Thailand for 29 years and have never felt the need to be ripped off by these mafia types. Malaysia puts "Drugs are Death" on their Visas, maybe it is time for a warning about jet skies in the same manner or something like that.
