In Chiang Rai do I need a Work Permit to purchase a used bike from a private person! When I looked at the shops they said you needed one. Just have am O visa.

I am checking out prices from BKK to Johannesburg or Durban. Any suggestions on which airline to choose or stay away from. At moment lowest price for my dates is Ethiopian then Qatar then JetAirways.

I am wanting to buy a large piece of foam suitable for putting on a bed. Around 2 meters - 2-3inches thick. I have looked for an upholstery shop in Rai but can't find one. Have seen one Chiang Mai but not here. Do you know where there is one?

Gins Travel in Chiang Saen also can book the boat for you and provide help with getting passport in the day before. They also can help with you going thru Laos if need be. I was suppose to go on boat last week however the boat was canceled due to low water. So went thru Laos instead. Boat is around Y800 one way with Laos trip less than 1/2 that depending on if you have to get visa to enter Laos.

I am wanting to travel to China via Laos - entering Laos at Chiang Kong. Can I get a Laos visa at the border then take bus to China border? I already have China visa I have USA passport.

I have picked up some sort of virus. Now any site I go to (Yahoo, Thailand Forum etc) the top message bar on my screen says "Hacked by IGKIW. (Thailand Forum - Hacked by IGKIW)
I have done full scan with my antivirus software but to no avail. Any ideas on how to be unhacked.

Just returned from 3 days in Burma visa MaeSai - no problem. Come on up.

Just returned from staying 1 night at P.P. Hotel. Rooms fair - B600 - 700, breakfast with meal not so good. Taxi was B200 one way. Going taxi took 1 1/2 hour - 1/2 hour on return trip. It definately is out in nowhere land.

Have any of you that have used our new airport noted any good places for free sleep for a few hours while in transient. All of the sleeping in Airports sites are for old airport.
