Anything I could tell you has probably changed. I'm an American came in on Non Imm B in years 2013 through 2015 Never had a problem. One border run they asked about work permit. I told them I do not work in Thailand. But according to their law at the time if I discussed business I needed a B visa. And that was the case.

I've been on the Privileged Elite page and can not find anything that says you must do border runs. You are only required to report every 90 days in Bangkok. it works out to about 3000.00 US a year. The upside is no border runs; keeping the individual safe from the mini buses of Death!

The best "Loop Hole" is something called the "PE Visa". Plop down a million baht and get 20 years of entry into Thailand handed out in 5 year installments.

I believe the reason for so many dogs is the failure of Thais to neuter the male dogs. A simple procedure it takes little time. Instead Thais want to Spay the female dog. This procedure is very expensive; the dog has to be anesthetized and then her ovaries have to be removed.
I've experienced this first hand, I cared for 5 Soi dogs in my neighborhood a mother and four puppies. When the 2 females reached 9 months old one had her first Heat. It was explained to me by a Thai girl that " the female dog is at fault for getting pregnant!" "I said really, so she lays on her back spreads her legs and barks come <deleted>%k me! " Here all this time I thought it was the male shooting his sperm that caused the female to get pregnant.
The fix is simple Arm 50 men with rifles and shoot the balls off every stray you come across.
Of course you could chose a different course of action; say something like what Ukrainians did several years ago. In Kiev they had a mobile crematorium they would catch strays and toss them live into the burning flames!

Why don't you just get a visa! I don't understand you guys and the continually Tourist non sense! Apply for a Non Immigrant B visa and plop down about a grand and then no more hassle. Just border runs every 90 days. This was the least expensive way while I was over there in 2014-2015. And I'm from the US also.

Songkran is not just a few days here in Pattaya in last from the 11 through the 21st of April! Any body that thinks 10 days is a few days may need to seek out the help from a board certified psychiatrist!
My biggest problem is the throwing of water at motor scooter riders; it is dangerous enough just trying to keep from being mowed down by cars but add water being shot at your head to the point of being blinded creates the elements of a vehicle accident waiting to happen!
Sure the law says if they cause an accident they can be charged, but as most of us on this site know, no one is ever charged with anything. Hell look at the young American girl last week that was imitating Van Drivers in Thailand. She hit 13 cars and fled the scene of an accident and what happened NOTHING!
As for the poster who brought up Christmas it celebrated only once on December 25. And it hardly last a day with American business so tight for money many are opening on Christmas day denying poor employees the day off!
To my knowledge the Thai’s have celebrated the New Years on December 31 and the first of January the celebrated the Chinese new year a month later and now yet another celebration of what? The New Year, “you say” that was 3 months ago!!

If she had pulled this stunt in America she would be dead police have Zero tolerannce for that kind of driving. So if you have to lose it then Thailand looks like the place to be.
By the way it sounds as if she was practicing to be a van driver! They ignore laws drive in wrong lanes drive way to fast!

Being new to this,it is wonderful and the Government should force all Restaurants along the beach to close all day as well. if you're going to screw the beach vendor why not the restaunt owner as well! Come to think of it all Business along the beach roads should be closed no 7 /11 open no shops no bars just empty streets then people could enjoy the peace and quite! But wait could they do more sure the could you know what would make Thaialnd even mor enjoyable is no noise at all so on Wednesdays in support of Phuketing the beach vendor All tansportation will cease to move including flights in and out of Suvarnabhumi airport! So who cares if Thailand loses cumaltive 1 million a day US in revenue! ( SARCASM)

Spaying ? what is the avrage cost of this procedure here in the Pattaya area? I was quoted a price of $400.US per dog is ths aucurate? The reason I ask there are 5 feral dogs in my neighborhood nd I'd like to keep it that low.
I found the $400 to be outrageous any opinions on this.

The Police in America are out of control, It is one of the primary reason for leaving the US an coming here. For the gentleman who said there are good cops I would ask hime where are they? They never speak up, never step forward and point out the bad police. They instead stay silent; why Fear! Speaking up would put their lives and jobs in danger. But then that's what good guys do! So in my mind they are as bad as the police who continue to do wrong. I have 3 computers full of bad cops stories; killing innocent Americans from Las vegas my favorite story to the neighbor who was watering his neighbors lawn at their request while they were out of town. Someone called the police and killed the neighbor because the garden hose he was holding looked like a gun! Go figure hmm lets see what garden hose looks like a Gun Water Gun maybe but then again "US police only have to believe there life is endnger to kill!" Think about that the next time you go to The FREEST PLACE ON EARTH NOT!!!

As usual the government over reacts to the problem. I find it hilarious that they complain about find old laterns lying about all over the place when Thailand appears to be one giant garbage dump.
The solution is simple enough redesign the lanterns.
Take away the metal band that hold the "Tyvek" in place. I suggest using a hemp based fiber. Then apply an excellerant to the new fiber frame and include a fuse so as the candle burns down it ignites the fiber and the entire latern catches fire and burns up. Poof problem solved!
As for being sucked into jet intakes i find it hard to believe that the intake fins which are made of Superalloys and spinning at thousands of rpm would choke on a latern. I've seen geese get sucked in and shot out the rear de feathered and cooked in split second and no damage to the intake fins. I think this is designed to scare Thais!

I live in a once quite neighborhood. I movedin in October 2014 and was looking for peace and quite.
There was a sad looking bitch who had lost almost all her hair and I made the mistake of caring for her. Fast forward to today now instead of feeding one sad Bitch I am now feeding the 4 puppies she had as well as her. And to make matters worse she now is in heat again! I cannot leave my home at night unless I want to run the risk of being bitten by the half dozen horny Feral male dogs that follow her like the paparazi followed Princess Diana!
If things follow coures she be knocked up this week and in 70 days there wil be another 4 to 8 puppies added to the exsisting 4 that were born in October!
The dogs are mid sized not quite as big as a labradore but close. I tried to head this off at the pass I went to a vet and they quoted a price of $400.00 US to clip the puppies! I said sorry but I'm not going to spend 2000$ US to fix a problem that in 2 years will be so out of control that the local government will not no what to do.
Here's my take Mama who is like a ripe plumb will have another litter in 70 days the first litter had 2 females which will be breedable by summer; if each of the females has 4 puppies then by October 2015 the neighborhood will have 16 new dogs!
As of right now I cannot leave my home without the worry of being attacked by the large agressive male dogs that are wanting a piece of her tail. This problem will only get worse as the female pupps become of age. To the authors of the new bill "UP Yours" and I'm being polite! What i would really like to do is gather up the 30 or so Wild Dogs that will be in the neighborhood by this time next year and drop them all into your neighborhood while 8 or 10 of the bitches are in heat and let you diplay your Thainess and kindness to the wild dogs!

Do you have a stereo, try Metallica, or Nine inch nails. The CIA likes Metallica they use it in interrogation technique. Of course you may make other neighbors upset. Other techniques could be smell drop some raw shrimp in there shop of course moving is your best option, make sure when you sign a new lease you add a line about noise and a refund of deposit if said noise arrives after you move in.
