The fact that it is 2 different hotels in 2 provinces next to each other says a lot. Its probably the same fraudsters.
May I suggest the problem is you and your wife and the method you are using to book a hotel. Plenty of reputable easy to navigate sites like Agoda. Book now and pay later option, free cancellation etc. Why on earth your wife paid in advance and a deposit for a key is beyond me.

Sorry but don’t believe this was in the Pattaya Police area, probably under Nong Prue Police.
But don’t let facts get in the way of your daily Thai bashing.
Neither its the responsibility of the Highway police.

There has to be a better way. For example on exit from the UK no one passes through an immigration desk. Whilst I have always wondered how overstayed are checked, it must satisfy the requirements of the UK immigration.

I am currently on a retirement extension of stay 1 year with 800000 THB in Thai bank. I need to go to my home country and apply for a new passport because it will expire in a few months. Then I will apply for a e-visa non immigrant O 3 months single entry visa. I need financial proof in my case of 800000 baht. Can I use this amount from Thai bank or does it have to be the equivalent of this amount in Euro from a Belgian bank? I am from Belgium.
Thanks.
Have a look at your expiry dates of passport and extension. It may work out that you can work around them. You can renew your extension 30 - 45 days early at most offices. It may work out for you to renew your passport early by post and then renew your extension after you get the new passport. All you then need is a re entry permit to protect your extension date. Surely this will be a better way to proceed rather than losing your extension and starting again.

Try lighting a match, if you blow up you will know that your suspicions are correct and we will be well rid of you.

There are many but they are usually in schools and hotels not malls. That's what I am looking for.
Because as the other poster said its a Buddhist country. Living here I would not have a clue when Easter is.

She applied for the Netherlands, she specifically requested a visa with a longer validity, and whilst she provided supporting evidence for our four day side trip, her covering letter citied her previous travel history and indicative future travel plans.I have to admit we were pleasantly surprised, it was her first application since we actually left the EU and gave up the Freedom of Movement throughout the EU.
Excellent thank you

As a result did not have time to get a re-entry stamp. I know I have to start the process for retirement again.
Many people say "get it at the airport its easy". Well that may be so, but this is exactly the reason why I never do or advise others to do. It's not worth the worry, get it before at immigration.

My wife recently applied for a visa for a forthcoming four day trip to the Schengen Area, she asked for a longer validity as we were considering further trips and was issued with a visa with a five year validity, but of course the 90 days in 180 rule still applies.
That's worth knowing. May I ask what Schengen country issued this please. I havnt visited a Schengen country since the freedom of movement for family members ceased, this information would be good to know.

So many different responses some vaguely correct most wrong. No one knows when the water throwing will start however in some of the Pattaya bar soi's it will start as early as the 10th April. It will then continue until the big day in Pattaya which is always the 19th, I don't know where someone got the 20th from. There is also a small continuation in Bang Suary on the 20th and that's it.

As one of the major wind up merchants on here I am surprised you are still allowed to post. Tinder is just like Thai Friendly, a place for anyone of any age to find sex, that's it.

You can run it on a non anroid smart tv via an android box or a firestick. I take my box back to the UK when I go every summer, hook it up to my older Sony non smart tv via the android box and perfect.

I am going back to Australia for a short while. I booked a budget car for a couple of weeks. The rental company wanted a $100 deposit, which I paid with an Australian debit card over the phone.
The day after the transaction, there were three fraudulent transactions on my account, all originating from Uber Eats, within a five minute time frame. About $250 all up, in AUD. Uber is known as Grab in Thailand.
I called my bank in Australia, and cancelled the debit card. The bank will have the fraudulent debits reversed. I imagine it will be asking Uber Eats some tough questions.
I have never used the Australian debit card in Thailand. It has also never been outside my condo apartment. The car rental company is the only transaction it has had in the six months since I returned from Australia.
I called the car rental company. I explained I considered there had been a breach of cyber security, and I wanted to cancel the booking, and have my deposit returned, as I did not think their systems were secure.
The manager refused to return my deposit, even though I would not be picking up any vehicle for a couple of weeks yet. He claimed breaches of his firm's security were impossible.
In hindsight, someone who is either writing down, repeating, or having on speaker the details of a telephone card transaction, would be wide open to having the details recorded with photo or audio, by any customer or another employee.
Constructive suggestions on how to achieve a refund welcomed. To me, the manager is acting in bad faith.
I think the manager and staff enjoyed their Uber Eats lunch on you.

As far as I know Shopee does not accept foreign credit cards whereas Lazada does.

This is common policy in Thailand. My wife's Thai friend visited from Sweden. They drove around all afternoon trying to rent a motorbike in Pattaya. "Farang only" was the answer everywhere.

Ireland isnt schengen.. An Irish tourist visa doesnt allow mainland EU travel or vice versa.
Are you sure about UK visit visa allowing Irish access ?? Other obviously than northern ireland.Apologies yes just checked. Republic of Ireland is not a Schengan country because of the existence of the Common Travel Area CTA agreement with the UK. Meaninh anyone with a UK visit visa can also use this to visit the Republic of Ireland.

Don’t disagree, but sometimes it is the luck of the draw. The only consistency is their inconsistency at times at Jomtien.I did my extension, October last year, same address for a few years, TM30 done online after returning from overseas, still had to go to the outside counter and do a new TM30 before they would accept my application.
Had 2 friends do 30 day extensions from visa exempt entries in January. All done through an agent, just turn up for picture, 5 minutes and 4000 baht, but agent wanted a copy of TM30 from hotel.
No right or wrong, as the goal posts move so often. 55555
I leave and return to Thailand to the same address with a Retirement extension/re entry permit once a year. I never do a new TM30, my last one was 2017. A guy down the gym did a 30 day extension of his visa exempt entry last month. His TM30 is 3 years old, no mention ofa new one.

Same for everyone nowadays....started 3/4 months ago....more BS
I don't know why people keep saying this. If you get a new passport, go to immigration, fill out the form and have the extension stamps transferred to the new passport. As long as this is done, immigration have your new passport on record. You can then do the 90 day report online as normal. Jomtien immigration. I did my first report online last December and this week I did my 2nd. Reported online at 14.30 and approval was back 08 30 the next day.
My (Thai) partner is losing her hair. Can anything be done?
