  1. If you have decent Wi-Fi, Amazon fire stick and wizztv.co.uk subscription, 3000b for a year.  Best for sports, Danny’s Sports bar (for example), uses Wizz.  Decent support too, think they are based out of Pattaya too.

    Hi

Ok... The fun times with a 90 day report online!

I've done it before loads of times online no problem.

Incorrect entrdate upon entry into the kingdom/ Incorrect visa expiration da

But, this time keeps getting rejected.

    1. innocent entry date into the kingdom, I'm putting the correct date in as I can see it on my red Re-entry stamp in my passport.

    2. Incorrect visa expiration date, ok so I done a visa Extension Feb this year, so my visa finishes March 2024. I've put both March this year and next year as the final date. Both rejected!

As a side thing I have a new address, which is OK. I have done a TM30 online OK.

    Any thoughts?

    Cheers

    Thanks again

Same *exact* thing is currently happening with my 90 day - same information entered for 2 years now being rejected.  Sigh…the last thing I want to do is have to go down tot the Jomtien immigration office but I suspect its either that or a trip to the agent.

Yes I maybe confused and thought it was the same.

I assume grand avenue is then on the left side when coming from Buakhow, is that correct? Both are same developer I think, and my friend is suing the one on the left side

Correct, left side coming from Buakhaow.

Yes that i the one I mentioned in the OP, but at 80 > 100K m² a little too pricey, and yes I'm aware of the dodgy developer, since my friend is suing for 6 million for years already.

The location is great, but 4 million buys you only about 43m², unless you go for the Thai quota, which I'm not interested in.

For that price can get something around 60m² if you know where to look

Fair enough, though you mentioned Centara in the OP which is across the street from GA.  Best of luck.

  5. Grand Avenue fits the bill and there are a few in your price range on my Pattaya condo.com.  Be diligent with your research though, there is some dodgy sh*te going on with the developer from what I overhear in the hallways…

Good place to live, though - great location, decent facilities and quiet at night, generally.

Real inflation in the US is still hovering in the neighborhood of 20% I don't know where they get these numbers of 3.5 but every time I walk into the grocery store in the US my favorite products are up 20% after 2 or 3 months. No, inflation is barely dropping, the basket of commodities that they use has nothing to do with real life. And and consumer confidence is extremely weak too.

I hear you about food/restaurant sticker shock - it’s real and more so returning for a visit from Thailand.

But, at the risk of straying a bit off topic, you are wrong about consumer confidence, it is in fact surging:

”The University of Michigan's consumer sentiment for the US soared to 78.8 in January 2024, the highest since July 2021, compared to 69.7 in December and forecasts of 70, preliminary estimates showed. Consumer views were supported by confidence that inflation has turned a corner and strengthening income expectations...”

”Taking January and December together, consumer sentiment has climbed a cumulative 29%, the largest two-month increase since 1991 as a recession ended. For the second straight month, all five index components rose, with a 27% surge in the short-run outlook for business conditions and a 14% gain in current personal finances. source: University of Michigan

Thanks for all the replies.  Is healthcare decent in all these places or are the "big four" going to be best for that?  Udon is sounding pretty good for English as well as access to Western restaurants if farangs are there.  Is it possible to stay through smoke season in a place like Chiang Mai or is it as bad as they say?

KK has the Queen Sirikit Heart Center which is, apparently, pretty renowned in Thailand - +1 for KK.

i got a great one with films, series, live sports, 15000 channels, plus catch up from 7 days of about 60 main channels

hardly buffers and not hard to set up

guy works out of UK / pattaya.... only about 3,500 B a year

    Wizz?

Just signed up a few weeks ago - not too bad so far, decent support when needed and a pretty excellent array of channels.  I use a Fire Stick and have had some buffering issues (200 Mbps is my Wifi speed, might be a tad slow) and thus avoid FHD channels but otherwise I am happy.  Fair refund policy if it comes to that, as well.

  9. Looking for 1 place to get everything, can’t be fussed to get meat here, veg there etc.  I am in Pattaya

Big C, Lotus, Tops, and maybe Friendship (not sure if they do online…) seem to be the choices.

    Villa too expensive

Tops has unlimited delivery for 99b per month, minimum 250b order - seems a good deal

Is there consensus about “best” (value for money) option for online grocery shopping?

I used to torrent movies as well as TV series and music. I can vouch for that with having a NAS system loaded with about 16 TB of 'stuff'.......  However I stopped torrenting a few years ago because I can stream and watch nearly everything for free these days.......movies, TV series, live sports, and even some PPV events.

With great Internet speeds these days streaming works well with no (or very little) buffering and with all the great AdBlockers they are essentially ad free.

Agree -   Tinyzonetv . cc is my streamer of choice for movies/tv series.
