  2. The Booze Lounge on Soi Buakhao. All day and all night Chang and Leo for 45 baht.

Most bars in soi New Plaza are around 50 for the same.

Triangle Bar soi Chaiyapoon, buy one get one free is 90 baht for 2 Leos.

R-Con bar Soi Buakhao 45 baht for Leo.

Are these prices for the small bottles of beer ?

  3. If you give the buyer all the needed documents they can do everything themselfs in Bangkok

it would be easier ( 1 day ) to do the transfer at the regents if your car has Chonburi plates ( new buyer will keep the Chonburi plates )

If they get it done in Bangkok it will be more complicated because they have to first "move" the car to Bangkok change owner then get new Bangkok plates can take a while and need patience of a saint if you do it yourself.

There are agents near the DLT's that will do it all for you but they can be slow.

    needed documents

  4. Thais can register vehicles in any province so there is no need for new plates for the transfer you describe.

If sold to a farang, however, they can only register vehicles in the province they hold their certificate of residency and new plates would be issued.

As far as I know Thai or foreign can register in any province but they need proof they live in the province.

It is often more convenient to "move" the vehical registration provincethan having to go to the province its currently registered in.

eg :say you lived in Chaingmai you want to buy a used car that is being sold localy but it's registered in Bangkok you wouldn't really want to go all the way to Bangkok to buy the car so instead you can have it "moved" to Chaingmai province and do all the paper work at the DLT there instead if Bangkok.

Do I have to change the registration to Chonburi plates before I sell it?

Exactly what do I have to do in this situation?

Just take all the docs listed below no need to change to Chonburi plates before selling the new owner can do that.

  5. About time, and I hope they are put down and not just passed off to a temple to be looked after

    Sadly not

The beach operators revealed that the dogs had roamed around the beach and they had bitten tourists many times. As a result of this, the beach operators were afraid that this might destroy the image of Pattaya therefore they decided to notify the officers to take these dogs away.

Later the officers caught all of the dogs which consisted of 3 male dogs and 3 female dogs before sending them to Plu Taluang dog centre.

In other words they are now causing havock and mayhem for some one else..but at least the toursists can't see them.

  6. I'd like to know the indicater signals of trucks when following them on the highways.

I think the outside indicator means it is ok to overtake - except when they are turning right..........

Ant the inside indicator means not safe to overtake - except............

    smile.png

I think its the other way round

Right indicator means not safe to pass. Left indicator means all clear ahead. I wouldn't trust them though.

  7.

Can you tell me when and where this was published?  It reads more like a real estate company brochure than anything official.

Yes Its from the March 2008 issue of   "real estate Thailand magazine" they where sure then that it was a foregone conclusion  and VT7 is still there.

seems they set a precident that the shoreline can be measured from low tide  hence buildings taller than 14 meters closer than 100 meters from the shore line

like the one being built at Bali Hai now.

  8. This road, like many others around Pattaya / Jomtien is  a death trap  the surface is very poor, in many places there are "woops" that are  more fitting for a motocros track than public road.

The poor guy was not the first vctim and sadly probably not the last.

I read in another news clipping that they are resurfacing Theprasit road.... WHY ?  there is nothing wrong with that road !!!

the money should have gone instead to  the bad parts of Jomtien second  and all Pattaya Tai and  Pattaya second road which are awfull, been neglected for years

but at least usually so blocked with traffic you can't really go very fast and when traffic free going fast just results in rattling the teeth out of your head and bits falling off the vehicle.

  9. I don't even understand who would want to ride a motorbike! I hate the things! far more enjoyable is a 1,500 baht " Bicycle " from Big C with " basket and bell " ideal for " cruising about " rather slowly and stopping for a picnic lunch " enroute "  ( I obviously live in a different world from most......)

Reminds me of the song  by  ????

I've got a bike  you can ride it if you like.

its got a basket a bell and things to make it look good.

I'd give it to you if I could...... but I borrowed it.

  10. Only strange thing was the guys wife's signature was not anywhere in the blue book. He phoned her (she was at work) and asked and she said it doesn't need to be and the signatures are the people who processed the transfers? Is this correct?

The owner of the vehichle as stated in the blue book should sign it

    where it says ลงชื่อ............................ผู้ถือกรรมสิทธิ์

Some DLT's are more lax about it than others  but best to get it signed.

You can also use  a "Yellow house book"  instead of residence certificate or work permit.

though I read on here somewhere that Pattaya don't like "yellow house books" at the moment.
