  1. That's what I thought. I wonder why Bangkok Airways would tell me that an Antigen test would be fine to enter Bangkok from the U.S.
  2. I just got an email from Bangkok Airways about a question that I had asked them a couple of weeks ago pertaining to Covid testing with the Samui Plus program and possibly missing my flight to Koh Samui waiting for the results from my test. The email stated that I would have to get a RT-PCR test or a Rapid Antigen test 72 hours before my flight to Bangkok. From what I understand the only test that they are accepting is the RT- PCR test and they won't accept the Rapid Antigen test. Does anyone out there have any info on whether they are accepting the Rapid Antigen test?
  3. Does anyone out there know if you have to have a print out of your Covid test before boarding your flight or can you get away with visual proof on your cell phone?
  4. I'm in Florida. I got tested in a Walgreens before and it took me 3 days to get the results.
  5. I know that you have to test 72 hrs before your flight. The question I have is how did the people that have arrived in Thailand do there testing. I'm in the U.S. and the only way that I can get a rapid test with results in time is to pay $150 out of pocket. If I go to Walgreens or CVS I will have to wait 2 to 3 days to get my results. How did you guys do it?
  6. Sorry! I guess I should have said that I'm coming from the U.S. I'm just concerned about charging my cell phone and Chrome Book.
  7. Simple yes or no question guys. Do I need a voltage converter in Thailand?
  8. He may have done a " sealed flight". I'm not sure. He still got tested at the airport and only took 4 hrs to get his test results irregardless whether he had a sealed flight or not. I don't see where the amount of time to get test results back should matter. You would think that someone that comes into the airport with a connecting flight later that day would be given priority over someone that does not have another flight to catch.
  9. I know for a fact that Chris Parker( ReTHAIred Working For You) arrived in Bangkok about 3 weeks ago on his way to Koh Samui. He tested at the airport and got his results back in 4hrs.
  10. I know that this is the first day of the new "test and go" but has anyone out there used it yet? I'm real curious about what kind of wait time there is for the Covid testing results. They are telling people that they will have to book one day to wait for results before they can go to there destination. I have a flight arriving on 12/01/2021 at Suvarnabhumi Airport with a connecting flight on Bangkok Airways to Koh Samui with a 6hr layover between flights. I'm hoping that the 6hrs will be enough for me to get my test results.
  11. Can you convert the visa exempt to some kind of long stay visa?
  12. I heard online that the Thai government is going to extend the Special Tourist Visa for another year. Has anyone out there heard any specifics yet on how they will implement this extension? At this time the only thing that I can find is info on the old STV. The old version was based on the 14 day quarantine. I would hope that they change that requirement at least.
  13. Once you are issued the COE how long is it valid for? Does it have to be used within a certain amount of days?
  14. Looking at possibly getting a retirement visa. Instead of getting the O-A visa here in the U.S. I would rather get a 60 tourist visa then if I'm sure I want to stay long term go ahead and apply for the non immigrant in Thailand. I have two questions. If I get the Tourist visa when will my 60 days start? Will it start as soon as it's issued or do I have some time before it begins? The second question is about the O visa application. I know that with the O-A you need either 800,000 THB in a Thai bank OR 65,000 monthly income but everything that I have seen about the O visa has stated only the 800,000 THB in a thai bank. I haven't seen anything about 65,000 monthly income with the O visa. Can I do the 65,000 THB monthly with the O visa?
