are you a very sweaty boy? even so your maths is strange, as 7 does not divide into your figures, so will get confused by day three
Those are rather unkind comments to make to a new poster.
Oh sorry, I did not realise you were a new poster...sweaty is allowed only if old and grey

I've never understood the attraction of unsalted butter. When at a French restaurant, I always end up salting my butter.
Actually my favorite butter in Thailand is Dacheeso's salted butter. Tastes like the butter my Grandmother used to churn. Unless you are in Chiang Mai, you are out of luck.
Unsalted butter always tastes very creamy.
I think it has to be made the old way. salted butter is more suited to factory conditions, so can be cheaper.

yes, will do
I wish I could have it. My neighbour has a nasty dog that tries to bite me too often, and any guests etc. I blame the owner; your dog sounds perfect to sort it out!!
-
no offence taken, but I don't agree!!
You can buy French unsalted butter, but it isn't the best from there. President is the maker, and it is good
Still better than any Kiwi stuff, no offence

I don't go around correcting other people's English as a rule, but to help your professional vocabulary I should let you know the word is "spayed
Would you like to be my Private English Tutor ???
If the pay is right, why not? As a free sample I can tell you that only two words in your sentence should be capitalized and a single usage of the question mark would suffice. You are on your own now, at least until I see some cash from you. Good luck.
hee hee nice! don't forget the little man in blue boots is American English
Bambi, did you mean spade? or speyed? or spayed?

If Polanski would be man enough to return to the jurisdiction of the court he might defend himself and employ a lawyer to assist him.
The defense he's receiving here is pretty dismal and once again reflects badly on the majority of TV Members.
not sure why you say that.
As to being man enough to return, why would he? he is guilty of statutary rape, by definition, so would go to jail for a long tiime
BUT he is not a paedophile, from the definitions given
Utilizing the internationally-prepared and internationally-accepted DSM-IV criteria, he is, in fact, a pedophile:
A pedophile is a person, most frequently a man, who focuses his sexual fantasies and behavior toward children. People who enjoy child pornography are pedophiles. Some pedophiles are sexually attracted only toward children and are not at all attracted toward adults. Pedophilia is usually a chronic condition. Main characteristics are:
Repeatedly for at least 6 months, the patient has intense sexual desires, fantasies or behaviors concerning sexual activity with a sexually immature child (usually age 13 or under).
This causes clinically important distress or impairs work, social or personal functioning.
The pedophile is 16 or older and at least 5 years older than the child.
He had sex with a girl who was past puberty. She was hardly a child, certainly not sexually immature. He was/is also attracted to adults, was not obsessed by sex and functioned normally etc etc
he broke the law, but is not a Paedophile

[i was under the impression that everything was far less expensive in Thailand as compared to the West. I will need to have about 20 shirts, 10 pairs of trousers & an assortment of underwear to be laundered (washed & pressed) each week. How much will it cost me?
I was trying to imagine why you would want to wear so many clothes in a week!!
are you a very sweaty boy? even so your maths is strange, as 7 does not divide into your figures, so will get confused by day three
As to the others questions on cost, farangs have to pay a lot more than Thais
a. Because they are larger and hence it is more work
b. because they are farangs

I wonder if contributors to this thread would like to consider the following questions:
Does a man’s sexuality define his character? Or is it the opposite; his character defines his sexuality?
Or maybe his sexuality and his general character exist on two separate planes - independent of each other?
Perhaps we should also consider our own situation, when answering these questions.
It depends!! If a man has a strong character, then it defines his sexuality.
But if a man is obsessed with sex (as are paedophiles) then that will define him. He lives for it and it dominates his life
I would not consider Polanski a paedophile based on one relationship. If he likes young women, fine, many men do, but if he preys on young girls, that is a different thing.
Although convicted of statuary rape (ie sex with a girl under the age of consent), that offence does not make him a paedophile.

Dreams are an important part of life, but yours sound like they have a life of their own...weird
I remember my dreams vividly, and sometimes they are disturbing. I have twice dreamt I lost my tooth, which means a death in the family. Both times real life proved the dreams right. But I do have a big family!!

a plot of land big enough to accommodate a sizable vegitable garden, we plan to ensure the safety of the food we eat by growing as much of it as we can.
well, make sure you get soill tests done before you plant. A lot of land is contaminated in CM, and soil from "bad" areas can be used to infill land on building sites.

Chang is 1 baht cheaper and is left in the dust by the customers. It even has more alcohol than Leo and still can't sell the same amount of bottles. Guess taste doesn't matter!
Besides, this is a business, the guy wants to sell the most beer, not win a taste testing contest.
well, wow!! I don't understand people liking Leo, but hel_l, so what!!
anyone like Klosters?
-
I'm surprised more people arn't saying Leo. It outsells every other beer 3-1 at my local supermarket.
1. Leo
2. Singha
3. Heineken
Carlsberg is not here anymore. Although surprisingly I did see some for sale at Family Mart for 65b a bottle about 3 months ago. No sightings since.
Leo outsells as it is very cheap!!
and nasty

You have received a lot of interesting solutions and commiserations
now you have to decide on your course of action
do you jump, or do you walk?
maybe take a year off first, travel around, relax and see if you can be a more happy person. Your problems may solve themselves, they may follow you remorslessly....you will find out.
there are a lot of people in your position in your homeland who are in your position and are happy, so don't blame your circumstances
as many people have advised, look into yourself.
A year off may help that process
good luck

Going with my (Thai) wife to The Hotspring in Sankhampeng for years to enjoy food en drinks boiling eggs and enjoying ourselfs.
Went Yesterday again to find out the White man has to pay double entrance fee.
Prices singposted as Adult (read farang) 30 Baht and children ( read Thai) 15 Baht.
So this has been the last time I go to the Hotspring as well as other places the White man get ripped off
To Bad
I think you must be a lot of fun to go out with!!

I agree, it is nothing to do with being Thai, it is the boy/girl thing
she may be interested, is all. So now you have to continue being friendly etc
Then, maybe, she will let you get closer and share a bowl of noodles
-
It´s their business and as you don´t know the background of your fellow farang it´s theirs to decide what they do.
When it comes to sentences like this from farangs I always think that a kind of jealousy might play a role too.
And what the he** to care about a neighbor as at the moment it comes like you have nothing in common than you are farang with a Thai partner.
But the same way is if they then after been ripped off come whinging about Thailand and how bad people are he can pi** off, too.
Everyone is responsible for what they´re doing as long as they are not kids.
...well, I don't have a Thai partner...
well, maybe get one then you will have no time to watch other peoples lives
you will be too busy building a house
-
Oh Bambi, don't forget, you made a few men sweat here too

BTW I am not an English teacher. What the f.. has an English teacher got to do with anything anyway? Are you trying to say that you are somehow better as you are making more money? Or maybe just because someone teaches English they should be laughed at?
No - just trying to tell you - MYOB
Personally, I got alot more out of reading Neeranam posts about what he has seen and knows about Thailand then reading a post saying MYOB. Not that I agree with all Neeranam said but is more usefull in this forum IMHO.
Yes, agree with that. I thought the MYOB reply very unecessary
by the way, great avatar, I'm jealous

Was there no one in the car?
What's the point?
I doubt that a system of robot cars would work in Thailand, as no one knows where they are going half the time.
well, that's the whole point!! just get in and it will take you to where you don't know where you are going
easy eh?
-
