I only use my cards for US based transactions, ie online subscriptions. Thai bank accounts for everything else. The only US card I use here is my Schwab debit card and they are intelligent enough to figure out after the first time verification that my Thailand ATM transactions are legit. Never any issues after that.

Can't imagine why anyone would wait...takes less than 10 minutes online and requires no payment or extra info outside of your largest bank balance last year.

Posting passport to the UK meant you could have been in seriously deep .... had anyone needed to see your passport in an official capacity. No proof of legal status and possible arrest and deportation. Just the fact that your passport left the country might have made your permission to stay invalid.

Water will flow where it can....whether you can see the outlet point or not...it is flowing from somewhere near your AC...unless you are saying that the leak is from a pipe in the wall ?

Likely a clogged drain line. Also there is a tray inside to catch excess water (on very hot and humid days) before it can be drained away Could be cracked....ever get cleaning service for AC units ?
