  1. I transferred some money in on 1st and 3rd January, from the UK, using Wise and was not charged any new fees.
  2. I don't know how they do it either, but I can assure you they are able to do so. It's not personal experience, I don't wear a chain, or any jewelry for that matter, however I have friends who have been the victims of similar events and I was present once when it happened, under similar circumstances to this incident, my mate didn't even realise immediately and I certainly didn't see it happen. They are very good at it. Practice makes perfect and they certainly do that.
  3. My dentist has given me the same option as the OP. However, if I go for the cheaper dentures option, they will remove my remaining upper teeth and my concern is what do they anchor the upper denture to. My dentist said something about a magnetised plate. Does anyone have experience of this?
  4. Rest in Peace Joe. Sadly, I didn’t know you personally, but you advised me on a number of occasions and you were always the one to go to for any of us with visa questions. You will be greatly missed and without your unparalleled knowledge there will be a hugh void that will take some filling. My condolences to your family, both here and in the US.
  5. Next week maybe a Swedish man, then a Dane. Then it’ll be too much to be a coincidence. RIP Mr Paal.
  6. Well played young lady and congratulations. Hope you win many more.
  7. Do you mean that it is an offence to have two Thai passports in the same name? Because in the UK it is certainly not an offence to have two UK passports in the same name. I and many others have legitimately done so, mainly for work purposes.
  8. How true is that and I absolutely agree and am doing the same myself.
  9. Bit hard to sing with a mask on and I'd hardly call that working, he's doing a bit of guest busking, harmless. Many, many farangs play and sing in bands all around Thailand and I never see them getting arrested for working without a work permit.
  10. I'm in a similar position, but my pension states that I must be legally married to pass on a percentage to my 'wife'. Putting if off is all well and good, but if I die in the process then she'll get nothing. A difficult situation.
  11. What a load of <deleted>. Ask the bar owners in Soi 94 of Hua Hin and pretty much anywhere else in Thailand and they'll tell you that graft is very much alive and kicking. They've just received demands for 1200 baht per month to stay open, up from a pre COVID 500 baht. Admittedly, very little in the grand scheme of things, but still blatant corruption. And if you try to expose them, you're dead meat.
  12. Who bloody cares. The sooner we all catch it the better. If those who are unvaccinated get sick and die, that's their own fault. Time to return to normal life. This whole situation and how this useless, incompetent and corrupt government is dealing with it, is becoming more than a bad joke.
  13. No one is on a retirement visa, it's called a visa extension, for the purpose of retirement.
  14. And long may they thrive, never could see why COVID only affected people who were drinking and not those who were eating and drinking. 555
