Why bother with such a dinosaur?  555

Because it's a one terabyte drive, and I'd like to see what's on it.

The OP seems to think he'll be able to find his existing power supply.

No luck in that regard.  Do you think it will be challenging to find one?

  2. Hi,

I found my old Acer external hard drive (2010?) while sorting through boxes, but the cables seem to have disappeared.

The power adapter should be easy enough to source, but I'm not familiar with the USB adapter.  It looks like something you would see on a printer.

It would be really helpful to know what this type of port is called so that I can search for a cable.

    Thanks very much. ????

This page list the various reasons a non-o visa can be applied for. Click them to open a PDF file for each type.

The Non-O marriage pdf in this link indicates that you need to present those awkward photos in/outside the house and also the house registration & map.  In my past experience, these items were only required once the extension was submitted 90 days after the visa was approved.

    Am I reading this wrong?

Thanks again for your help, ubonjoe.

Not every immigration office issues them
    BUT
most of the ones that do require you to have 15 days or more left on your current stamp to apply, because the application goes under review and then you go back in 2 weeks to get the Non-O visa and new 90 day entry stamp inked in.

By any chance do you know if they issue them in Krabi?

It has been available for many years. At one time they could be applied for at certain offices but now it can be done at any immigration office.

    Thanks for your reply.

So, I would apply for the Non-O and get 90 days and then would apply for an extension of stay, right?

If someone didn't apply for the extension, is there a limit on how many in country Non-O visas a person can apply for in a year?

You could apply for a non-o visa at immigration with a visa exempt entry.

    Is this a new development?

I thought you always had to apply for a non-O outside of Thailand and then do the extension of stay inside Thailand.

And just to clarify, a visa exempt is people who get 30 days based on their passport, for example, US, UK, EU, etc...

Is this a routine screening or related to known colon problem?

    Would that be Bumrungrad?

    Yes.

Does anyone have recommendations for hospitals to have this procedure done?

  8. I'm overdue for a colonoscopy, and plan on having it done next month in Bangkok.  The hospital I'm looking at has the following terms and conditions for their colonoscopy package, and I'd like to know if there are any red flags.

    • Package includes doctor’s fee for the endoscopic screening, OPD Facility and Nursing services
    • Package excludes costs and fees for doctor’s consultation and any further tests, treatments, or medications recommended by the doctor based on test results
    • Doctors will be assigned; patients may not request a specific doctor

    Thanks. ????
