  1. Incredible. I have a retirement visa and live with my young son who has an education visa and his mother, whom I am not married to. She is not a Thai. She has been permitted to stay because our son is young and our son is dependent on her. She has an O visa. Does this mean she gets kicked out?? Previously, immigration has asked to see proof that she has so many baht in her account.

  2. As much as I try to love this country and the people, and accept the Thai way of life, it is cases like this that get me fuming! As everyone has said so far how can they release the murderer when the neighbours heard her with the victim. They even heard what they were arguing about. This seems to be the normal Thai way of "It was only a Farang so his murder by a Thai is not that important".

If eventually the police are forced to act they will say that the murderer has left the village and they cannot find her. This happens far too many times! Why are Farangs treated as dirt in this country?

    Chris

Why are Farangs treated as dirt in this country?

This is one reason why I am moving my family out of this country. This tragic incident is being handled as if it means nothing.

Also, the other day I was in my bank and a senior employee told me that he has personally seen 100 million baht in assets transferred from farangs to thai women. Those men can kiss all of it goodbye. Next to a slug, men are the most stupid beings on earth!

  4. These are the greatest dogs a man or woman could own. They are very friendly, dedicated, bright and will never runaway. Both are approximately 1 year old, healthy, male, been vaccinated for rabies and other assorted dog illnesses and given heart worm medicine every month. They are outside dogs 24/7.

We are moving out of Thailand and they must find a good, new home. They don't deserve a street life. 087-1778190 anytime.

  5. i don't know if it's a troll or not, but the original story seems incomplete. anyway, sounds less like a random act of street violence and more like a personal thing. do many stun-gun-bearing robbers hang out waiting for victims at university libraries? it's not exactly a scuffle with some drunken teenagers coming out of a disco. vulture, can you tell us more about the incident? what do you think were these guys after?

Perhaps you would like to question my 11 year old son? You can believe what you wish about this random act. It had nothing to do with me being a farang. They were waiting for the owner of a new vehicle, which will be for sale soon, and it happened to be me. The next day, i saw what looked like finger prints on the driver's side window. I didn't bother going to the police and spend hours there when if fact, they wouldn't do anything anyways. Besides, that Thai may be missing a few teeth.

The white 4 door Honda Jazz, was in very good condition, very clean and had very dark tinted windows. Someone else was driving it as the one who attacked me climbed into the back seat.

Crime exists everywhere and one needs to have open eyes no matter where they are, especially at night.

  6. Last Friday night, I was at Chiang Mai University library with my son. When we went back to our vehicle, I noticed a white Honda Jazz, with no plates, parked beside me with it's engine running. I thought some students were having a go inside. Anyways, I put the books into the back of my truck and that is when some jerk tried to stun me with a stun gun. I turned around and he tried again but I blocked it with my left arm and slugged him with my right while yelling to my son to call the police. Anyways, he crawled back into the jazz and they drove away. I didn't follow as they might have had a gun. I have lived in many countries and this is the first time.

  7. CMIS is run by Mormans. They ask on the application form for your religion and if you are not of their faith, you either sit at the back of the bus or not on it at all. From personal experience, they are bigots.

NIS may have a good location but that doesn't make a good education. Most of the prime teachers, non art or non P.E., are good and they don't care what religion you believe in.

Thanks for your reply. Was your personal experience as a student, teacher, or parent? Both CMIS and NIS?

Experience as a parent. Also, the head of the school, a lady, told me that Mormans ran the show.

  9. I have looked in many places that sell vitamins and minerals and obviously there is only one supplier to all of them as they all sell the same brands.

The calcium is crap as it is carbonate from crushed oyster shells. Do you know how long it takes your body to break down an oyster shell? The best source of calcium is from vegetables but that cannot be found in Chiang Mai to my knowledge.
