[Staph and pregnancy]

I am near Pattaya. 

 

We booked our usual hospital for our first ultrasounds etc but when we turned up to the first appointment the Doctor had left for the day, we made a follow up for the next day but I called to confirm before leaving for our appointment and once again the Doctor had already left.   We then went to our current hospital. My wife and I are generally happy with the service there, but this just struck me as being strange.

Hi all

 

My wife is booked for a cesarean very early January.

 

At the last check up we were told she has staph showing from a swab of her vagina.

 

We were informed the hospital wants to take the baby immediately after birth to do some tests and if they find signs of infection they want to place the baby into ICU for antibiotic treatment over a 7 day period.  This hospital does have a reputation of putting profit first.

 

My wife is devastated as she had problems with her first son who spent 2 months in ICU in a small hospital in Issan.

 

I have tried google but can't find anything similar to what they propose.

 

Does anyone have any experience with anything like this?

I went and received my provisional license a few weeks ago.

It's for a 2 year term not 1 year. Is that correct?
