  1. And this is exactly what happened to me yesterday. She asked me how long i intended to stay in thailand this time and i told her that i was not sure. She then asked me for my return flight confirmation to the USA and i told her that i provided that information when i originally applied for my ME visa but did not know that it was required on a subsequent entry. She also asked me where i was staying and many other things that is required on the original application. I told her that was required and all is on file with my original application. Then i kindly reminded her that my evisa grants me the right to enter the country as many times as needed. I smiled at her and said that she needed to handle this however she wanted to and that i would take it up with the immigration office downtown phuket if were not given the 60 days that was expected. I was very kind and understanding... ... she gave me 60 days
  2. yes, from the immigration line in Malaysia
  3. is there a reason why you are flying to Loas instead of udon thani?
  4. no idea! i just saw the guy ahead of me pay 1800 baht
  5. and you get there by bus from phuket?
  6. the last i heard it was 1800 baht, no offense taken...
  7. i see now that they don't run every day but they are still some running non-stop flights thanks...
  8. I did the bounce mentioned in my original posting
  9. It was granted on Aug 23, 2023 and must be used by Feb 18 2024 but there is no expiration date on the eVisa...
  10. I have a 6 month multi-entry eVisa from the US which i used to enter Thailand on Oct 5 2023. This visa can be used as many times as needed until around the first of April 2024 correct? I live in Phuket and normally fly to Udon Thani, take the 200 baht van to nong khai and spend the night close to the freedom bridge. In the morning I walk to thailand immigration and exit the country. Buy a 30 baht bus ticket to Loas. At the Loas border i fill out an entry/exit form, provide the officers in window 1 with a passport picture and 2 perfect $20 bills. About 10 minutes later i am called to window 3 and my picture is taken and i am given my passport and exit paperwork. I walk around the same building and give my passport and exit paperwork to the officer and receive my exit stamp (sometimes i am asking for 100 baht). I buy a 30 baht bus ticket back across the bridge, fill out my thailand entry/exit form and am granted another 60 days. Total time if done early is about an hour. There are no longer direct flights from Phuket to Udon Thani or at least nothing available as of today. I am thinking KUL would be my cheapest/best option. My question is can i arrive and depart the same day? I am also open to hearing about what everyone else is doing for a simple border bounce. Thank you!!
  11. i did a border bounce in nong khai on the 8th and no vaccine check…
  12. @Haveasaythat is exactly what i would like to do, could you post a link to your previous post?
  13. From Phuket this just might be the best option as well (Non-Stop One-Way to Udon Thani 1550 baht). Ideas for finding the minivan across the bridge and back?
  14. Curious how you did your Malaysia bounce. They require an active Thailand Visa my expiry date Jan 9th. How long did you stay in Malaysia? I would like to arrive on Jan 8th and depart the same day or am i required to stay 1 day or 24 hours? can you color in your bounce for us/me? I also have METV
  15. Does anyone know if you can turn around same day at KUL? morning flight to KUL and afternoon flight back to BKK?
  16. Why PEN over KUL? I am seeing long return flights from PEN and not from KUL. Price a little better for KUL as well. You like the city that much better? keep in mind i have been to neither. You arrived with a current Visa from Thailand? do you recall what paperwork they are looking for? Thanks for your help...
  17. Yes, so it sounds like a great opportunity an agency in Hatyai... i am not into brutal right now haha!
  18. I have a multiple entry TR visa from the US that I will extend 30 days tomorrow. I normally enter with a retirement visa. This will be my first border/visa run. My priority is cheap and quick but failing this, enjoying my time is priority. Flying out in the morning and back in the evening is best. Who doesn't like sleeping in their own bed? but not necessary. Flying out in the afternoon, spending the night and flying back the following morning is also okay. Ground travel might be okay as long as i am not spending many hours in a crowded bus, van or car. A train is an interesting idea and i might spend many hours on a train if it proves interesting or a land border crossing is somehow better. So, let us hear some ideas...
  19. haha! what happened? i leave for a couple days and we have covered the scooter vs motorcycle in just about all variations... glad you all had fun! for the record, i have been driving motorcycles all of my life and my first scooter accident was downhill on a very curvy (fun) road, now i remind myself that i am on a scooter not a motorcycle... haha!
  20. Do you know the process without one?
  21. To get a Thai motorcycle license do i need to have a motorcycle endorsement on my home country license?
