  1. It was discovered during a general health check up (ultrasound abdomen). Thanks for your comments.
  2. No, she is not severely symptomatic (doctors found it unusual considering the size of the fibroids). She is 48 yo. Pap test is negative. Doctors said to check again (ultrasound) in a few months and maybe total surgical removal of the uterus should be considered. They were not definitive in their answer about total uterus removal or not. That's why I'd like to talk to another doctor too.
  3. My wife has got uterine fibroids, the largest one being 12cm. We've already been to Mc Cormick and to a Government hospital ( I do not remember the name sorry, it's on the way to Mae Rim from Chiang Mai). I want to hear the opinion of another doctor as well, could you please suggest where to go? Can be private or public hospital, just a good doctor that maybe you know. Many thanks
  4. Dear all, Entering Thailand in June on a METV, and planning to stay about 9 months (using 30 day extension at Immigration). What is the minimum length for my insurance that I should buy? Thanks
  5. So for example, if you're studying the Thai language, you're supposed to go through beginner, intermediate, advanced, learning to read and write in just one year?! Wow I imagine that to be almost impossible. I've actually heard of people getting more than just one time ED visa, moreover, at the moment some schools are offering legit all inclusive package for studying the language, without the need to leave Thailand for the conversion tourist/exempt to NON O, clearly with some kind of arrangement with Immigration.
  6. May I ask you where did you get this rule? Is it something official? I do not think so.
  7. Being 50+ is not enough, you forgot the most important thing, that is 800k thb in a Thai bank!
  8. "showing more than 40,000 baht wire transfers from my US bank each month for the past 12 months to my Bangkok Bank account but here in Chiang Khan that method of verifying income is not accepted by the big boss" Thanks for your very detailed report. So you showed the money transfers and that was not accepted? Uhm? The big boss...what? Why did you surrender and didn't fight for your rights, considering all the troubles of a visa run in the Covid era?
  9. It's very messy, yes, difficult to get an answer, I'm also trying to figure it out. It looks like a good non thai issued policy may cover it, but not easy it gets accepted during application for thai pass. You may be covered for 1,000,000£ but get rejected because the system don't understand that's bigger than 50,000$, and so on. As for thai policy, axa, luma etc I dare you to get a non questionable answer to your questions, rules have changed in the last few days, nobody knows for sure and many people have different opinions. Russian roulette? Yes!
  10. Does it really work like this now? No quarantine anymore for positive asymptomatic? You're free to go if positive asymptomatic on day 1 and 5?
  11. Yes, you will get 30 days on entry with UK passport and you can apply for 30 days extention at immigration. Or you can apply for a tourist visa before departure that will give you 60 days + 30
  12. Test and Go is not the visa. Depends which country you're from and how long you want to stay, you could get a 30 day visa exemption entry (so no need of visa) when arrive in Thailand, that you can extend at Immigration for 30 days for 1900 baht. Some other countries get only 15 day visa on arrival. What do you mean MT type?
  13. Thanks everybody. I've indeed read on Google that the Geneva IDP (valid for 1 year) was already accepted. And in the last one year or so they added also the Vienna one (validity 3 years). So in my understanding now they are BOTH valid. Regards,
  14. Dear all, Which IDP is required to legally drive in Thailand? Vienna Convention, Geneve or both of them are valid? Thanks
