  1. I don't understand this article. If someone could explain? I'm planning my 2 months trip to Thailand from December to February. Everything is already fully booked. My Pattaya hotel told me they are fully booked for December 10th when I arrive, until April. How to find an hotel? Will I be stranded in the street with all the hotels booked?? My car rental guy said they are booked until April too at 99% and they are not sure they can provide me with a rental car. His partner told me there are so many Foreigners right now. When I lived in Thailand from 2014 to 2018, I could just walk into my favorite hotels and get a room in 3 minutes. Ask for a car some morning and get the rental car 3 hours later the afternoon. Has it changed so much since 2018???! It seems it's full of Foreigners. So why this article seems to indicate the opposite? Or I didn't understand something I'm sure. If someone could explain... Thanks ???? Alex LM
  2. Raping each other. Only Thailand could come up with such a law.
  3. I think it was for ""corruption"". But then lots of people in the Thai Government would need to get exiled if that was the case? He is a billionaire. He could have come back earlier by... bribing the government... Why wait 17 years? Anyway, we can't know. Unless we are in a small group of people high up I guess. We can't trust anything we read online anymore... nor the government. And certainly not the Thai TV ???????????? All the public story seems fishy...
  4. "I thought I was carrying documents" What a complete... mor**. Well, it's hard to come up with an excuse that seems valid when you have 2 seconds to improvise. But still, what a complete m... Could have planned this better than to just walking out of an hotel with the bag...
  5. So it's back to normal? Once I had to wait ~3 hours standing to get that entry stamp. I have a French handicapped priority card (CMI Priorité) now. Do they care about it there?
  6. Sometimes they can be smart... Or they just don't get it.
  7. What? To enter Thailand? I thought I recently read they were dropping every rule related to covid 19 on entry?
  8. Even for something as simple as the standard 1,900 THB extension. I got in in-unimaginable troubles. In Sri Racha Immigration... From now on, my agent takes care of everything. Even the list of paperwork required is shorter than normal ???? I saw someone say "unless someone is disabled". I have ASD and ADHD. Does that count? ... Both my disabilities are officially recognised by my home country, the French Government.
  9. I meant Ubonjoe... could not edit so here, just to clarify. Follow his instructions. When you do. No reason to stress and you can breathe...
  10. Why, for 100% of the time I have been stopped for a fine (e.g. of my faults = U-Turn I should not have taken, GF's helmet "missing"). Not ONE policeman accepted that I pay on the spot? 2min and done on my way I imagine? But no. Always told me again that I gotta find a way to the nearest police station, wait 2 hours to pay a ticket, go back to wherever I was stopped. Give them the paper. Get my keys and papers backs. Why do I hear so much about corruption? I could not even pay 10's of thousands of THB for 1 one year extension based on marriage even though I had all the papers. But she refused the Embassy 40K income thing. And wanted the 400K in the bank. She didn't want 40K in cash either and told me to get out of her office (Jomtien/Pattaya) Any advices?
  11. Do they teach to wait for an exit to turn right when you pass you exam to get a driving license?
  12. Good deal. 70 years old 40 years old very attractive? So let's say 30? If I was 41 years older I would keep doing it. See how it goes. And use my 41 additional years of knowledge about Thailand "negative tricks to avoid" to think a while (wanted to write "think for a bit", but hey, at 70yo I won't think as fast as now)... and check for the "top 100" well-known red flags...
