    Thailand is not to blame.

It's the unqualified and unskilled users.

    Accountability.

    Why make this pointless comment?

Accident statistics show very clearly, thais are the worst drivers on this planet,10x more accidents and deaths than the bigger germany,

In no other country so many drivers have no license, driving drunk, swerving lanes without looking back,,

With german or italian traffic police, half of all thai drivers would be in jail

Now, here's my quandary - You have to take a Covid test and show you're negative to board a plane. What use is another test after getting off the plane other than to generate revenue for the people performing the test? Did I suddenly get Covid from any of the OTHER passengers who ALSO tested negative?

  3. most thais are very generous in giving money to orphanages, homeless, amputees and other really needy people, but they never give tips to normal working people with a normal salary in restaurants or hotels. why should they give to strangers, their own grandmother has less monthly income. btw, in japan tipping is an insult, its below ones dignity.

It shows a total disregard for the law, total lack of respect for Thailand.

everbody shows disregard for the law, who is drunk driving, bribing a policeman, not carrying an ID at all times, stopping a bahtbus outside of a busstop, driving a car shirtless, has no valid driving license, is using prostitutes , is drinking in bars after legal hours, or does not arrest the red bull boss, in short, everybody in thailand shows disregard for the law, thats why we come here.

Now here is a more specific question : Next month I'll be arriving at night at MoChit busstation . I want to stay there 'till the morning busses start driving ... will I get robbed there with my bags ?

mochit busstation is huge, i have never been there after midnight, but usually there are lots of people around. as long as you dont fall asleep, nobody will take your bags, most likely they have CCTV, maybe you can put it inside a ticket counter, that is open all night. no beer available in the whole station, not even 7-11. you have to go outside to the street restaurants.

Yes it is but in the big picture getting from there to anywhere else on the planet is a nightmare. Pattaya just needs a 2 hour drive to Bangkok airports and your on your way to any destination on earth

not at all a nightmare, only if you take the cheapest option, 26 dollar sihanukville-pattaya, it takes about 12 hours. if you take the vip bus to phnompenh, 4-5 hours, very comfortable, 9 dollars, then either fly to bkk, or bus to angkor wat, 6 hours, then poipet, casino,  4 hours, then pattaya 5 hours. all busses very comfortable.

Pattaya is still one of the cheapest places in the world especially if you like to drink. You can go to a fantastic sea view location like the beer garden and drink 50 baht tiger draft all night long

i think, sihanukville in cambodia is now the cheapest place, if you like to drink beer on the beach, watching the people walking by,  sitting in a comfortable lounge chair, and listen to good chill-out musik, 1 glass angkor for 50 cents, (it is brewed here in sihanukville) around 17 baht. barracuda steak with everything 3 dollar. hotels cheaper than thailand. i was there last week.

Out of interest, where in Cambodia would get close to what Thailand has to offer?

Not a criticism, just genuinely interested as I might want to hang out there between visas.

angkor wat and the 100s of temples around within many hours of driving are much more interesting than most thai wats, most are surrounded by dense jungle. ayuttaya or sukothai is not much, compared with  dozens of cambodian temples. also the islands around sihanuk are more unspoiled  and natural than most thai islands. there are many more  interesting places, like the volcanic lake in banlung with a fantastc rainforest around-

  9. " decent meal and a beer would be 500 "
i know a lot of thais in pattaya, even well paid receptionists, who cook their own rice, buy a plastic bag of chickencurry for 20 baht from a streetvendor and share it with 2 others, that costs about 8 baht per person for a full meal. but on some days (birthdays) ,they go to a well-known restaurant on the beach with live music, and spend maybe 3000 for 6 people. usually they invite a farang for that ooccasions. (me)
its a good idea, to save 50.000 a month, and spend maybe only 40.000, so in 2 years you can buy a nice 30 sqm condo in pattaya, with pool and everything, as a second home. many thais from bangkok do that.

  10. How many lives have been ruined by these drug runners/dealers, as far as im concerned they are getting what they deserve especially considering they all knew what could happen if caught .

alkohol is also a drug, how many lives have been ruined by supermarkets selling alkohol? it always depends on the consumer, not the seller. if one cannot handle this, its not the fault of the dealer.

nobody is forced to drink himself to death.now marihuana is already perfectly legal in some us-states, only a matter of time, until other countries follow. i still remember the time, when homosexuality was a big crime- women were not allowed to vote, or to go to university-, just ridicolous laws from the dark ages.

is the mountain responsible for the thousands of dead climbers every year? should mountain-climbing be forbidden? we should not let ourselves be deprived of the right of decision, be placed under disability, that is something worth to fight for, much more than some caricatures.

  11. the killer just came out of prison one year ago, for attempted murder, and propably wanted to go back to his friends.
if one has no money, live in prison is often better than outside, you can be a bodyguard for a rich inmate, get free drugs, have a normal live inside the jail, many girls available, all your friends there, basketball, tabletennis, even tennis sometimes,at least in manila bilibid prison, endless alkohol and drugs, tv, some slum-dwellers even change places with convicted rich people, and do 10 years in exchange for money.

  12. I have been living in Naklua ( Pattaya ) " The Land Of Cheap Living " for a few years now and live on 5,500 Thai Baht every month! ( " Absolutely All In " ) I have a small furnished room with bathroom ( cold water ) and 100 Sat TV Channels ( although i don't watch TV ever! ) and free internet included for a cool 2000 baht a month.I am outside in the sun every day and walk at least 15 KM every day and swim to keep looking fit and healthy! I certainly would not waste money on Baht buses or Motor Bikes! I ride a second hand bicycle with a " street value of 500 baht " but it's all you need! For longer journeys i use the train out of Pattaya train station at least twice a week.( Pattaya to Si Racha is only 5 baht ) I eat to a budget of 80 baht a day and eat only fresh food cooked by myself ( inc daily fresh fruit and vegetables ) i drink 3 litres of water a day and i do NOT drink or smoke! Bars don't excite me ( the last time i visited a bar was in the late 70's )

Thailand offers a fabulous outdoor lifestyle and i spend most afternoons on the beach ( yes more walking! ) swimming.

I hate air con anywhere! and stay away from Shopping centres, cinemas and places with air con as it makes me feel ill and uncomfortable! I have lived a nice life in the 4 years i have lived in Thailand and have travelled and explored a large amount of the country by train and taking photos!

You can live very cheaply in Thailand, what will change your budget is " Booze & Birds " ( i have never had a relationship during my time here in Thailand it's just something that doesn't really interest me.)

    God Bless you all viewers!

    F.J wai2.gif

your 1. post is confusing, 5500 baht p.month , absolutly all included. then you write, free internet 2000 baht, is that also included? so you have 100 baht per day for everthing, rent, transport, food. i dont believe you.

you said, you explored a large "amount " of the country with less than 200 baht a day, how can you do that? a nationalpark entry alone is twice that much.there are entrance fees everywhere, nong nooch, sanctuary of truth, waterparks, ancient city, do you never go to such places?.

do you take your bicycle with you, when you travel to si racha or maybe ko chang?

visa runs also included in the 5500?. are you buying books or travel to neighbouring countries ?

    do you pay rent?

  13. looker entered thailand oct 31, met the victim on nov1, killed her, maybe in huahin nov2, her body was found in mae klong river (a wide river near amphawa, not far from the famous floating market damnoensaduak , similar size to river kwai, the city mae klong is famous for the market on the railway-tracks) nov 6 or 9 , identified around nov 16, and he left thailand to malaysia nov 24, that does not seem, he was in a hurry, was he so sure, that the corpse would not be found? with the cctv fotos they should have found the room, (Soi 5, sukhumvit) just 1 street away from the bar on soi 4, and his name within 24 hours. i would like to know, how did they find his suitcase with stones inside in a big river? what mistake did he make? just in case...
maybe he has aids and blames the bargirls. looker, the terminator. somehow it looks very well-planned. if he were in a panic ( like a drug-induced fit of rage), he would have left thailand much earlier.
