Good question, how was she allowed to travel independently?
Revoking citizenship thereby leaving someone stateless is afaik against international law.
Read my updated piece above
Revocation ofsingle state citizenship is indeed possible. See the 2015 act.

You'd need to change International Law.
Although it’s possible to lose your citizenship if you’re a British national by birth, it’s unusual, and usually only happens if someone is considered a threat to national security. The Home Secretary can choose to remove citizenship in this case
This piece references the 2015 act which specifically enables revocation of single citizenship.

read the UK section
I also want know why she was allowed to travel as an unaccompanied minor. Was the usual airline documentation in place
Border Force are hopeless. How was an unaccompanied minor allowed to leave. Why don't we check people leaving?
I note Begum is not a proper surname. It is a female honorific like "lady"
No more from me on this thread

Frankly, I would cancel her British citizenship. Change the law if necessary. At the very least it will serve as a lesson to others.

Why do we not have immigration checks on leaving? A child should not be able to travel alone without the usual paperwork as required by most airlines.
Her two previous children died from complications due to malnutrition
She should not be allowed to return. She can apply to stay in Syria or Iraq.

KL has not issued multiple entry visas for years. Penang and Kota Bharu will only issue a multiple entry non-b visa to owners or shareholders of a company now
He could get multiple entry non-o visa based upon being the parent of a Thai in Penang. He will need to show 400k baht in the bank or proof 40k baht income or more.
If he is the legal parent of his children by way of marriage or legitimization he could apply for a one year extension at immigration.
Thank you!
Very informative!

It may be possible to get a multiple entry non-b for business purposes at an embassy or consulate in the country where the company he is working with is registered.
General requirements are here. http://www.mfa.go.th/main/en/services/4908/15388-Non-Immigrant-Visa-"B"-(for-Business-and.html
My staff member is Swedish and has worked for me here in Phuket for 10 years. He has a work permit and usually gets a 1 year multiple entry from KL or Penang. I am advised that they now only issue single entry 3 month visas. Any sensible solutions? He does have two young Thai children that he is bringing up asa single parent. Would he get a cat O, 1 year do you think (on the basis of salary/tax paid)?
I dont understand this business that consulted now only issue 3 month visas and you must go to an Embassy. Whats the issue with KL then?
Thanks for any advice

5 years ago there was another USN destroyer bumping (hard) into a tanker in the Hormuz Strait, no fatalities but lots of damage as far as I remember
the term destroyer takes on new semantical meanings, one thinks
I think maybe I mentioned it higher up in this thread. There is a US book titled Normal Accidents. The book addresses a series of well known accidents (and many not well known) and points to why this accident more or less had to happen, when things first started to go in the wrong direction.
Among well known accidents discussed, the 747 shot down over Sakhalin, the space shuttle that blew into fragments shortly after take off, some Three Mile Island accident if I remember correctly
and an accident leading to 11 fatalities and a US Coast Guard training vessel sinking in the DC/Baltimore area the training vessel sunk in a couple of minutes after having been almost cut in two by an oncoming freighter
coming down the river the skipper sees the freighter, he sees her steaming lights but he has one of those short circuits in his brain making him think that he is in the process of overtaking the freighter, he is going to port to pass the freighter and is ploughed down
lots of people on the bridge seeing what is taking place but nobody intervenes with the skipper
I would not be surprised if the answers to these 3 destroyer happenings are linked to BRM or lack thereof
MCC multi crew cooperation is a big problem in Asian aviation. Captain Krap!

Following another fatal accident at sea with an American warship, China says all American warships must display "L" plates. Learner drivers are not permitted in the Mallaca Straits. ?
A spoksperson for the Royal Navy, Capt Pugwash RN, suggests that they introduce rum rations for all able bodied seamen.

Yes i find the Great British Bake Off and Come Dancing too challenging.
I agree that BBC Entertainment was rubbish. Ancient shows broadcast over and over again. It's no loss ( I did enjoy The Great British Bake Off on BBC Lifestyle though!). There is a new BBC channel but True Visions will not take it.
I now stream everything and get all UK channels. It's mainly drama, documentaries and current affairs I'm after!

I and several friends have cancelled True. There are MUCH better real HD options available with MUCH more choice. I have been a UBC client for 15 years. They offered me a 50% discount!!!
I told them what I thought of that. Thailand needs a completely new system....

BANGKOK — Winter may never actually come for “Game of Thrones” fans in Thailand next year after the kingdom’s leading cable provider said it will drop HBO along with five other channels.
On Sunday, TrueVisions will drop six channels, including all of HBO’s channels and Cinemax, due to unspecified business issues, according to a member of the national telecommunications commission.

The consulates can no longer issue multiple entry non immigrant visas. The embassy will do a multiple entry non-o visa with no financial proof.
It seems you have may have the financial proof needed to apply for a one year extension of stay based upon marriage at immigration. You need need 400k baht in a Thai bank in your name only for 2 months or proof of 40k baht income. You could apply during the last 30 days of the 90 day entry from the non-o visa you have.
Several years ago I applied for a 1 year multi in Phuket. I was short on capital so I offered proof of income with the childrens' birth certificates. The "officer" said this would only be acceptable if I divorced my wife! I told him that I considered divorcing my wife at least daily but declined to do so because of some arcane Thai law. I bade him farewell and immediately travelled to Singapore where I received the visa with no problem.....
-
Thank you all for the info
I applied again for a "non-immigrant catagory O marriage visa multiple entry" in London. This was granted with no problem even though I had a 90 day single entry in my passport.
It's a pity the authorities keep trying to make life more difficult. I may not bother next time....
Thanks again for the advice.
(BTW, London embassy never replied to my emails or telephone calls. Discourtesy at least!)
-
Thank you all very much!
I think I will apply again at the Embassy in London.

So in his great war against drugs, slimebag Joko signs off on the execution of minor drug mules, a victim of people traffickers, someone with schizophrenia, a Frenchman involved with ecstacy. Why? because they couldn't pay the AUD130,000 the judges were demanding for a non death sentence.
Meanwhile the real beneficiaries live in their mansions in Menteng and continue the trade with a new set of mules. Nothing changes.
This is all about posturing and psycho-nationalism, nothing whatsoever to do with controlling drugs.
Absolutely correct.

I don't know Dr. Mercola and am the first to say I'm not a scientist studying the effects of MSG in a lab setting. However, MSG should be studied. The reason there's scant data is, like so many other questionable food additives, there are vested corporate interests who want their additives to continue to sell, because that's how they make their salaries.Ive googled quite a lot and have read everything that Dr. Mercola has to say and Ive never heard anything about CO2 bubbles offsetting the deadly toxins in MSG. Its definitely the essential oils that are doing it.
It's similar to the reason exotic/endangered animal parts are not studied in China (for their supposed curative effects, and enabling flaccid men to get hard-ons) ....because there are too many vested interests involved. To prove, for example, rhino horn has no more curative effect than drinking tea made of fingernail clippings, would be anathema to those in the biz of poaching/selling rhino horn.Hostie comes around offering fruit juice? Does it contain sugar says IThai-run airlines (and other Thai corps) are to healthy food what ducks are to auto mechanics, or what Thai politicians are to environmental husbandry. The first thing Thai corp heads need to learn is: What is healthy. The next thing is to decide whether they want healthy practices within their corporations, or just continue to take the common unhealthy path that's so convenient - and pleases their buddies in corporate food/drink businesses.
Science schmeince. Scientists are such elitists with their big words and demanding a paycheck each month. That's how you know that you can't trust them, unlike artists and dancers they all get paid, and once the profit motive is in play they will even deny medical facts that were known during the middle ages.
Utter nonsense
I have looked into the Aspartame issue in some depth
I find your assertions to be incorrect
