I'm have the same circumstances, my wife works in Bangkok for 3 times the salary, I look after our son in the sticks, I've done 4 extensions like this, the first for a Thai wife and then based on my son, we have also been open with immigration and had no problems whatso ever. KR Colin

I got two 6 month statements, on half way through the year, the other at the end, these can by done at your local branch on the day.

Do you need an appointment at the MFA for the translation of documents and certification?

I have been told the TM30 has been scrapped, I know the TM6 has been, can when one clarify?

An Aussie friend is married to a Thai in Australia, they now want to live in Thailand, he is now here on a 90 day Non o visa for a Thai wife and wants to gain an extension local based on his Thai wife. he understands the ext requirements. but is un-clear what the steps are for him to get married at the Amphur office. He visited the Amphur office and they told him he had contact the Aussie embassy to have his Aussie marriage translated and certified. does anyone know if this correct? Also he needs to get his passport translated and certified. Normally this can be done by the MFA. Can anyone clarify? what the steps are? Kind Regards Colin

Many thannks to all of you, I have Windows 11 so the change to the adpators was different, but I found a video on YouTube, but it made no difference, and I was thinking it cant be a bloody cable, and when I switched it out it sprung into life 900MPS. KR Colin

I have just moved to 3BB fibre (1GPS/100MPs), my WIFI speeds are about 4/500mps, however, my ethernet speeds on my PC are about 100mps since installation, where as my old AIS 300mps package was typically 200mps, Ive logged on to the router and cant see anything that might help, before I call them as anyone had a similar experience. I found the issue that the "DHCP" and "Enable DNS DHCP" were both enabled on the DVR, but I reset them and I guess its picked up the new router setting, its now working, thanks for your suggestions. Not sure about your "on the road" comment, it works over the internet or remotely.

I have had a look the DVR shows both IPv4 and IPv6, although the IPv4 is "greyed out", in the router there is a IPv6 tab, which if you if you click allows you set up a default network. I'll check out the router side of things more tomorrow. KR Colin

I have just moved to 3BB fibre (1GPS/100MPs) and the network conection to my CCTV network via ethernet is not working, I'm thinking the DVR (HikVision) has an old network protocol, I have looked on Google and cant see much about it. BTW if I run the system and swapped back and forth between the two routers and always get the same results. KR Colin

Does anyone know which Thai internet providers throttle users data? I'm with AIS at the mo and have been told 3BB does not throttle. KR

I bought a new Ford a few ago and they arranged the insurance and also what I would call the government car tax, for this I pay about 8,000THB a year, a friend of mine said I must be paying for additional insurance as the standard cost is about 3,000THB, does anyone know how it works in detail? Indeed, I think there is a new boss in the office, with new ideas. I'm not sure if they will give me the full 90 days, because I will be under consideration for 30 days, and they may well view it as the possible end date of my visa ext if I'm not successful, although normally if they accept my new visa application it normally is ok.

I'm on my 9th visa ext and up until now I have not seen any link between the end of visa ext date and 90 day reporting date, until now. I'm due to submit my new ext on the 10th Mar, with the visa ext ending on the 17th. Mar, my 90 day reporting is due the 7th and as I was in the area I decided to get it updated for the visa ext on the 10th. To my surprise they extended it until the 17th Mar saying they could not go past the visa ext end date. So now when I put my visa in on the 10th and I get the "under consideration" stamp I have to get a new report for 30 days, and a further report when I pick up my visa for 90 days. My immigration office in Prachinburi. I see no value to this process.
