yes in the uk shelfs are starting to look bare of essentials
not panic buying but pinged staff and drivers
Rubbish, plenty of items, just some panic buying causing issues.
Okay maybe some named products are less available one day, then the next they are full again! You can still wipe your nose on toilet paper if you are worried!

Very sad RIP
Unfortunately driving a 30+ years old car with various upgrades etc did not help.
The old cars had little design with regards safety etc.

Sad....foolish man when red flags were up. RIP

It might help if Thais and others actually covered there noses when wearing a mask, stupid people!

or herd immunity ?
To create "herd Immunity" its generally understood you need to first protect the elderly and vulnerable and a large proprtion of others to be immunised to stop the initial spread, then maybe "Herd Immunity" but dont forget new variants might overcome immunity on this and any other basis.

Far too late for a lockdown etc, Covid Delta is too virulent etc, look at Australia for example.
The only initial remedy is mass vaccination, but that would entail the Thailand Government accepting overseas advice etc, and we all know Thailand knows "best"!

So you invested 3rd hand in an unregulated generally untrusted investment with many crooks around, you knew you had no redress legally and now you are paying the price!
Crypto is mostly unregulated. Sites such as Binance are full of victims.
Bitcoin etc is fantasy land! Thr more it is popularised, the more scammers take your money.
It will be impossible to make a case...who with, contracts etc, what country, is it a regulated financial instrument? No, never!
It sounds like your friensd you invested in is/was trustworthy, however it is likely he is also in over his head having also been ripped off!
You know of course the saying "Friends are friends and business is business and the two should never be mixed"
Sorry, but the saying is "If it looks to good to be true, then it's a con!"
Good luck!

Good to hear this, and to see that it was a joint US-Thai effort that produced these results.
Hopefully this will help reassure some of those of those on the fence to get vaccinated! ????⚕️
If you read there report the immune response was fairly low with Sinovac!
I quote:
"According to the World Health Organization (WHO), the Sinovac's efficacy is 50.7%, when it comes to preventing symptomatic disease — significantly lower than Western-made shots."

Yes, the roll ons and spray are lower quality sometimes here. Perhaps only using using the spray etc on your arms leaving the armpits free of spray etc for sometime, allowing that area to settle down would help? I've found that very beneficial.

Glad to hear of your improvement. Yes every visit, once a week past month, he's been grinding and doing this and that to me as well. Did some electric surgery on the gum too. But the damned pain is not improving which pi**es me off. It can't be anything crazy serious but just not being diagnosed accurately.
I would suggest a sensitize teeth / gum toothpaste plus a good flouride mouthwash, it is possible your teeth /gum are too sensitive at the moment.
Clean your teeth after every time eating. with a soft brush.

They can't take all the food and other supplies needed to the island on the passenger ferries, plus what about the vehicles on the island ( they didn't go on the passenger ferries )?
There has to be an option- it's just a question of whom to ask about it.
Everything goes on the speedboats and the passenger ferry. The few cars went on the rubbish barge on planks at I'm told a high price.

Passenger ferry takes them, with risky loading! Not advisable at all for big bikes!

Reduce image size of attchment, ie it's too big a file for receiving mail.

Quite right, and as a life long overweight person, daily exercise is equally important. (As you used to do!)
Salt, Biscuits, desserts, cakes, crisps, fizzy drinks, fatty meats, fried food etc are also bad.
From experience, I found eating a low cal breakfast, very light lunch and a small evening meal was the way to go. Beer is not neccesarily the issue, rather what goes with it!
It took me a month to lose 5kgs and a further year to lose slowly another 25 kgs, now no Blood pressure issues and I feel well.
Good luck and remember it;s a life style change forever!

I had an issue once when 3 pickups raced up to my town house and out jumped abour 10 guys, one in a police uniform, I immediately locked my heavy steel gates and stepped back with them shouting at me in Thai. I oloked at them shrugged my shoulders, I started shouting for help, that brought 3 dangerous street dogs that I feed going bonkers at them!
Finally got someone to translate, they wanted to search my home, I asked if they had a search warrant...No! Told them to come back when they have! Never saw them again. Turns out they had wrong house.

Your list is interesting. Thanks. But I don't agree with your statement above.
In some buildings the management cares. And the committee cares. I don't know how many buildings have a proper management and how many not. But telling us that Thais do not maintain anything is just wrong.
Yes you are quite correct, it's finding a place thats the problem, that's why my list is long....if all those questions are answered (and no cracked walls) then that's a start!

AliBaba are very hard to deal with and for you to actually receive a purchase. They are more of a Bulk purchase site, and often require business details etc.
AliExpress are okay, although they have many many sellers who do not deliver, ie scams. It can take easily 3 months for a delivery. Why you might ask?
Well it works like this, you make an order and the money is paid to AliExpress who hold the money until delivery is made, then pay the seller.
Once an order is made, then the seller quite often does not actually have the purchase, so then and only then will they try and source the products and eventually post to you.
So its make a purchase and then its sourced for you.
Eventually if not delivered (As it never was sourced at price) you will get a refund, but must wait in total about 4 months.
You are better off with Amazon if they will deliver to you or Ebay.
If using Amazon in particular check who is delivering ie as many issues may arise (Tax, import fees etc) using Fed Ex, DHL and other private delivery firms, try to insist on UK Royal Mail or cheapest Chinese delivery service.

Sorry but when I read this I am amazed!
Thais do not maintain anything, from Cars to home to apartment buildings.
They are only repaired if they are broken and needed!
Condo etc:
Look at the external appearance, look for cracks covered over, very common.
Look for external pipes leaking and never fixed.
Look for blocked drains.
Check hallway wiring to see if safe and working
Has it got WIFI
Check the elevators, they are never serviced, merely repaired when not working.
The condo itslef, look for signs of above leakage, check for drains smelling
Check windows condition
Check wiring safety cut outs and sockets actually work
Check uneven flooring
Check walls are not blowing
building Security!
Electric / Water meters
Do they still allow Gas usage! (Should be not allowed)
Check many times noise levels
Check about animals
Allocated parking spaces? Abandoned vehicles?
Check Condo fees accounts / balance / and who's on condo management team
Foreign quota or Thai quota purchase?
All seem typical items for check, but in Thailand they are most often neglected.
Personally, I only buy 5 year old condo's as most issues are not becoming an issue yet.

Perhaps they need cleaning? In general once a year would be sufficient, mine run far better after cleaning.

This is disgusting, plain and simple.
In one fell swoop, Thailand has proven that it is fifty years behind the rest of the world.
Racism at its best! We asist and supply vaccine know how and some vaccines at cost price and then they kick you up the backside. They offer jungle herbs!
What do you expect Thailand is often rascist, a great shame!

-
Any excuse, rather than admit they don't even have the vaccines!

Apart from suggestions made, keep yourself busy....why not do some home maintainance, paint some rooms, make some home repairs, clean up etc? Volunteer somewhere?

My 60 day Visa finishes on 1st February.
I need a further 7 days, what is the easiest way to extend? I guess Jomtien Immigration.
How far before 1st February can I apply for an extension?
Thanks for any advice.
